At Tiger Stadium the Brentwood Bearcats outscored the Grand River Ghostmen 9
to 6.

Brentwood jumped on top of Grand River in the bottom of the 3rd inning when
they tallied 3 runs on 4 hits.  Grand River had a chance in the 9th but they
came up short.

Kevin Brown(16-2) allowed 5 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Tug McGraw earned the save, his 1st.  Addie Joss(10-7) was the
loser.  He allowed Brentwood 6 runs in 4 and 1/3 innings of work.

Buck Guthrie was clearly disappointed after the game.  'It was a manager's
nightmare out there', he said, 'We should have had this one.'
