Musial enjoyed a big evening at the plate. He laced a base-knock in the 3rd inning, singled in the 5th inning, cracked a two-run shot (his 18th of the season) in the 6th inning, lined a one-base hit bringing in two baserunners in the 7th inning and doubled in the 9th inning. North Eaton had many opportunities throughout the game and scored in 6 separate innings. The victory was credited to Walsh(18-6) who went the distance, allowing 2 runs. Hooks Wiltse(15-7) was the losing pitcher. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 10 hits and 5 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings. 'Actually, I didn't feel that comfortable at the plate today' Musial said after the game. 'Despite that, I'm happy with the results! |
