Left fielder Ellis Burks smashed 2 homeruns as the N. Ridgeville Bandits
topped the pitiful Cleveland Mayors by a score of 13 to 9 at Municipal
Stadium.

Burks was really 'in the zone'.  He doubled plating a run in the 3rd inning,
cracked a solo homerun in the 5th inning and brought the hometown folks to
their feet with a Grand Slammer (his 10th of the season) in the 6th inning.
N. Ridgeville banged out 14 on the night.

The win was credited to Charlie Ferguson(1-0) who went 1/3 of an inning
allowing no runs. Bob Gibson gained credit for his 2nd save.  The loss was
charged to Old Hoss Radbourn(3-5).  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 10 hits
and 5 walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.

With this win, N. Ridgeville has a 58-83 record.  They have been 5-5 lately.
With the loss, Cleveland has a record of 5-5 lately, 54-88, worst in the
division overall.
