Ridgeville Bandits topped the pitiful Cleveland Mayors by a score of 13 to 9 at Municipal Stadium. Burks was really 'in the zone'. He doubled plating a run in the 3rd inning, cracked a solo homerun in the 5th inning and brought the hometown folks to their feet with a Grand Slammer (his 10th of the season) in the 6th inning. N. Ridgeville banged out 14 on the night. The win was credited to Charlie Ferguson(1-0) who went 1/3 of an inning allowing no runs. Bob Gibson gained credit for his 2nd save.
