In the 2nd inning Grand River went on top for good scoring one runner. Both teams ended up with 9 on the night. Addie Joss(10-6) was the winner allowing 4 runs in 8 innings. Sal Maglie got the save, his 6th. Don Newcombe(9-16) was the loser. He allowed 6 hits and 2 walks in 2 and 2/3 innings. 'I had a little blister on my index finger before the game, but I thought it was nothing.' Joss said. 'I was lucky I got a win because I couldn't put the ball where I wanted it.' |
