of 10 to 5 at Candlestick Park.

Both teams were tied at 5 runs apiece after nine innings.  Finally, Brentwood
pulled the game out in the 10th inning.  The big moment was provided by Babe
Ruth who silenced Candlestick Park as he lofted a three-run 'big-fly' (his
35th of the season).  Overall Brentwood out-hit Hinckley 16 to 10.

The victory went to Harry Krause(1-0) who went 1/3 of an inning, allowing no
runs. Catfish Hunter(0-2) suffered the loss in relief.  He pitched 1 and 1/3
innings allowing 2 hits and 1 walk.

The Brentwood ballclub's record now stands at a division leading 80-58.  With
the loss Hinckley now has a record of 50-88, worst in the division.
