At Dodger Stadium the Hinckley Buzzards outscored the North Eaton Posy
DagGumits 5 to 2.

Hinckley claimed the early lead in the first inning scoring 2 runs. Rickey
Henderson led off and started the rally when he drew a walk. Henderson was
safe at second on a stolen base. Carl Yastrzemski then doubled knocking in a
run. After an out was recorded, Lenny Dykstra came to the plate and would
ground out scoring the final run of the inning. North Eaton threatened in
the 9th but their rally came up short.

The victory went to Satchel Paige(1-6) who went 8 and 2/3 innings, allowing 2
runs. Lee Smith got the save, his 5th. Reb Russell(9-8) was hit with the
loss.

'We didn't get the key hits when we needed them' North Eaton's manager said.
'We did what we could, we just didn't pull out the win. What can you say?'
