Shortstop Johnny Pesky had 5 hits and 3 RBI as the Harvey Wallbangers staged a
dramatic comeback over the Hinckley Buzzards by a score of 14 to 11 at
Candlestick Park.

Pesky provided the offensive punch.  He slapped a one-base hit in the 2nd
inning, stroked a base-hit in the 4th inning, cleared the fences for a
two-run home run (his 2nd of the season) in the 5th inning, laced a base-hit
in the 8th inning and doubled which plated a run in the 9th inning.  Hinckley
had 19 hits in the game while Harvey had 16, but Harvey had the more timely
hits.

Eddie Cicotte(12-12) got the win allowing 4 runs in 7 innings. Kid Nichols
earned his 2nd save.  Juan Marichal(6-12) was the loser.  He was not very
effective, surrendering 7 runs in 4 and 2/3 innings.
