Ted Williams provided much of the offense. He smashed a solo-shot out of the park (his 22nd of the season) in the 1st inning, doubled resulting in a run in the 5th inning and stroked a base-hit bringing in a run in the 8th inning. The Harvey offense man-handled the Hinckley pitching staff as they scored in 7 of the 9 innings. Wiltse was helped out by Perry who recorded his 1st save. Don Sutton(9-12) absorbed the loss. He gave up 5 runs and 7 hits in 5 innings. |
