Bearcats topped the Cleveland Mayors by a score of 9 to 6 at League
Park.

Brentwood wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning scoring a
single run utilizing 3 base hits.  Brentwood dominated offensively as they
scored in 6 different innings. 

Walter Johnson(14-7) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 7 innings.
Johnson got help from Goose Gossage who was credited with his 20th save.  The
losing pitcher was Al Spalding(10-9).  He surrendered 11 hits and no walks in
5 innings.
