Right fielder Babe Ruth hit one over the fence and had 4 RBI at Yankee Stadium
as the Brentwood Bearcats beat the Grand River Ghostmen 10 to 8.

The Grand River fans didn't appreciate the big day Ruth had.  He popped a
two-run clout over the fence (his 29th of the season) in the 1st inning and
doubled bringing in two baserunners in the 6th inning.  Grand River scored in
5 different innings, but their shaky pitching kept them from victory.

Bob Lemon(11-7) was the winner allowing 6 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings. Goose
Gossage recorded the save, his 18th.  Lefty Grove(6-15) was charged with the
loss.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 9 hits and 2 walks in 5 and 1/3
innings.

Brentwood continued on their recent roll, their winning streak now reaching 6
games and counting. 'We're on quite a roll lately' said Brentwood's manager.
'I just hope we can keep it going.'
