Duke Snider touched them all and had 2 RBI as the Bat Cracking Bombers
defeated the league door-mat Hinckley Buzzards by the score of 7 to 4 at
Tiger Stadium.

Bat Cracking tallied 4 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning with the help of 5
hits.  That scoring would be all that was needed.  Bat Cracking finished with
12 hits while Hinckley ended up with 8.

Larry Corcoran(11-11) got credit for the victory, pitching 8 innings and
allowing 4 runs. Bruce Sutter gained credit for his 24th save.  Don
