In the bottom of the 5th inning Kelso scored 2 runs. After an out was recorded, Joe Sewell started the attack as he ripped a base-knock. After another out, Jackson stepped in and he cracked a two-run shot (his 6th of the season). Kelso had just 6 hits for the afternoon. Jack Pfiester(11-6) allowed no runs in 8 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the victory. Pfiester was helped out by Mitch Williams who recorded his 16th save. Jack Chesbro(8-6) was the losing pitcher. |
