WEB GEMS- Bot 1st: Eddie Collins robbed George Van Haltren of a base hit.

Eddie Collins had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at Tiger Stadium as the Cleveland
Mayors beat the Brentwood Bearcats 5 to 3.

Cleveland scored 2 runs in the top of the 6th inning.  After two outs Home Run
Baker started the attack as he drew a walk.  Baker took off for second and
slid in with a stolen base.  Ernie Lombardi then bombed a two-run dinger (his
2nd of the season).  Cleveland had 10 hits for the night.

Carl Hubbell(5-0) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 6 innings. Hubbell
got relief help from Ted Lyons who gained credit for his 2nd save.  Walter
