Maury Wills had 2 base hits at League Park as the Kelso Hilanders beat the
Cleveland Mayors in 12 innings by the count of 4 to 3.

The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings.  Kelso won the hard
fought contest in the 12th inning.  After an out was recorded, Wills slapped
a base-hit.  Jimmie Foxx followed and he reached on an error.  Sam Crawford
then drew a walk to load the bases.  Brooks Robinson was up next and he drew
a walk scoring the run.  Both teams totaled 10 on the afternoon. 

Tommy Bond(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 innings and allowing no
runs. Kazuhiro Sasaki was credited with his 2nd save.  Herb Pennock(1-1)
absorbed the loss in relief.
