Goose Goslin slammed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Limerick Hurlers defeated
the North Eaton Posy DagGumits by a score of 9 to 6 at Shibe Park.

The Limerick fans enjoyed the offense provided by Goslin. He smashed a
solo-shot out of the park in the 2nd inning, laced a one-base hit knocking in
a run in the 6th inning and lifted one out of the park for a two run home run
(his 3rd of the season) in the 7th inning. Both teams finished the game with
10 hits.

Hippo Vaughn(2-0) allowed 3 runs in 6 innings, and picked up the victory.
Vaughn got help from Billy Pierce who earned his 3rd save. Jocko Flynn(0-1)
was charged with the loss. He served up 3 gopher balls in 6 innings.

'It's almost like the ball was trying to hit my bat,' Goslin said. 'Whenever I
would swing, the ball found the sweet spot.'
