Camnitz(1-0) put on a good performance. He didn't allow much, just 4 hits and 1 walk in 8 innings seeing his ERA drop from 2.53 to 1.45. Grand River threatened in the 9th but Lake Erie was able to put down the rally. Robb Nen was credited with his 1st save. Ed Lopat(2-2) was tagged with the loss in relief. He was pinned with the loss despite not allowing an earned run in his 2 innings of work. 'This was a tough loss,' said Buck Guthrie, 'the kind that sticks with you for awhile.' |
