The Manitoba Lightning Hockey Association would like to invite your summer hockey club to attend our Seventh Annual AAA summer hockey tournament. It promises to be a huge hockey event with over seventy teams in thirteen age categories. If last year's enormously successful tournament is any indication, the fast paced hockey, along with the activities and awards, will make this year's tournament an exciting and memorable occasion for the players, coaches, and parents!!!

 

Because of Winnipeg's central location we can stage a truly international event. Teams that may otherwise never meet, from eastern and western Canada as well as from the United States, and Europe can now take advantage of this rare chance to compete with the best.

 

The details of the tournament are listed on the following pages. In addition, you will find several pages related to the registration of your team.

 

To be included in our tournament simply fill in the Team Registration Form and mail $500.00 deposit to Joyce Webinger at this address:

 The tournament cost is $1,600.00(Cnd Funds) and the final date for registration is April 15, 2004 The team roster, and team waiver and registration form, and the balance of the entry fee is due by this date also.

 

If you know of other teams in your association or area who may be interested in our tournament, please copy and send this invitation package to them, or recommend them to us and we would be happy to invite them.

Tournament Summary Sheet

 

>The Tournament Cost is $1,600.00 and you must send in a $600.00 deposit.

>There will be NO GATE FEE for entry into the tournament viewing areas.

>After each game there will be a TWO GAME STAR SELECTION WITH AWARDS going to each of the two players chosen.

>There will be a LIGHT AND SOUND SHOW for the younger age categories at the start of each final game

>All teams will receive awards. Over twenty thousand dollars worth of awards and prizes will be given away.

>We are only accepting 8 teams in each Category, so it is on a first come basis.

>All games will be 20 minute stop time periods.

>Ice will be cleaned after every two periods of play.

>Each team is guaranteed to play five games.

>We will employ the two-man referee system for the Novice, Atom, PeeWee and Female categories and the three-man referee system for Bantam Boys
