| MYRTLE BEACH DRUM CIRCLE |
| Myrtle Beach State Park If you are a SC resident, you can purchase an annual family SC park pass for just $35 while supplies last. You can get them at any County Library or the Parks & Recreation Dept in Conway. (They sell them at the park entrance for $50+.) The Annual State Park Passport is good for one year, at all SC state parks and it is for the car load. Normal park fee is now $4 per person, so you can see it would be a good idea to get a park pass! How to find us: Once in the park, go past the Nature Center, bear right towards the ocean and fishing pier. At the pier, turn right and head south through the parking lot to the end of the park. If you see the cul-de-sack you are there! The B6 Picnic Shelter is the last one on the right, near the last restroom building. When all else fails, ask the nice lady at the gate or close your eyes and follow the sounds! The Myrtle Beach State Park is located off Business 17, at the southern end of Myrtle Beach, just south of the Myrtle Beach Airport and across from the former Air Force Base. | A lot of people ask me where they can get a drum of their own. Aside from getting one in the parking lot of a show, or finding one at a local store, you may want to try buying one online. Here is one suggestion: Afrodesign African drums & handmade ethnic percussion. Large size Djembe, Kpanlogo, Bougarabou super sale. Free shipping. Direct producers. They also have an informative FAQ page. Visit them at: www.djembe.biz |
| You might want to check out the West African Drum & Dance Workshop & Performances in Columbia, SC. They have regular workshops and gatherings that they send me updates on.
