The rumors are true: New baby coming

HOUMA -- Well, the news has been out there for a couple of weeks, but let this be the official word: Mike and Lanie are expecting baby number two.
Both are excited, although the task of picking a name doesn't seem to be going as smoothly this time as it was two years ago when Sam arrived.
For more, visit the New Baby portion of the Scott Family Web site -- one of several additions to be made this week.

UPDATES

Visitors to the site this week likely will notice several changes from when it was launched a week ago.
Most of the changes were made in an effort to better organize information. Other changes, though, like Katy's Page O' Links, are intended to enhance the site.
   In addition to the links
page and the New Baby page, be sure to check out the Fun and Games page; a new question of the week has been added, and results  from last week have been tabulated and

OLD NEWS

PHOTO OF THE WEEK: Fishermen on Florida's Gulf coast, taken in 1993 while the family was visiting for Thanksgiving. (This was before the days in Destin; it was closer to Pensacola.)  It was the same year Magdi's head was sliced open by somebody's ring. Notice the dolphin jumping in the background.

FRONT-PAGE NEWS
Those of us in the New Orleans area were surprised recently to open the Times-Picayune and see a five-column photo of Vincent on the front of the paper's Metro section.

The accompanying story was about restoration of old New Orleans homes, which Vincent apparently has contracted to do.
In the photo, Vince appeared with a few of his crew. He was  bending down; it was quite flattering.

QUOTABLE QUOTE         "I have the stomach flu. Been puking. That's why this note is brief."
