Fantasy league playoffs are around corner
Annual reunion held in Destin
Vince of an indoor inflatable trampoline kept most of the children happy as could be.
   The food, as always, was excellent, including the traditional fried turkeys by Vince and Bobby, gumbo and jambalaya by Aunt Hazel, and Brunswick stew by Robbie.
    Photos were being snapped left and right, so check back often for updates of the Web site as favorite shots are submitted.

COVINGTON-- With two weeks left in the fantasy football regular season, teams can start positioning themselves for the playoffs.
   All teams will participate in playoffs, which will take place in the last two weeks of the regular NFL season. The top four teams will advance to the championship bracket and vie for the title. Teams ranked 5 through 8 will fight it out in a consolation bracket to become "King of the Losers."
   As it stands, The A-Team, BludUndEisen, strangebrew and Ga. Peaches are well-positioned for the championship round, but the Big Bad Mamas are threatening to steal a spot.

   Turnout, as always, was stellar, with several new additions to the regular loony cast of characters. Among them were 3-month-old Ben Scott; Mina, a friend of Magdi's family from Egypt who is a freshman at Georgia Tech; Ken's new wife, Elaine, and her kids, Joe and Joanna;
Jim Fulmer's new wife, Peggy; and Katy's eyebrow ring, Stanley.
    As the group grew, so did the noise; the youngest cousins had a great time reaquainting themselves with each other and with their aunts, uncles, etc.
    The weather wasn't particularly cooperative, especially for the first two days of the visit, but a wise purchase by

Mike recovers from Potato Head syndrome
   COVINGTON, La. -- He may have looked like the elephant man for Thanksgiving, but Mike's head is now no more misshapen than usual.
   After reporting to Destin with a raging ear infection that left half of his face painfully swollen, he is recuperating nicely, thanks to Magdi's medical intervention.
   Next year: Ebola!
BUSTED: After smelling fried turkeys and gumbo all week, Katy, usually the faithful vegetarian, gave in on her drive back to Missouri and stopped for a  Bronto Burger. Actually, the photo was taken months ago in Bedrock City, S.D., which is an entire town built to resemble the famous Flintstones town. Look out, Williamsburg ...
