Middle of pack sees shuffling in 'Survivor' game
COVINGTON -- After another suspiciously fine performance in the family "Survivor" league, Bobby still has a solid grip on first place with 421 points, but there has been considerable shuffling of the middle-tier players.

Lesley
(330
points)
still is in
second
place, but her position is not nearly as secure as her hubby's:
Lanie (270), Mike S. (265) and Sherry's (265) teams are knocking on the door.
Just as solidly as Bobby is entrenched in first place,
Shane and Betsy have a firm grip on last. With a measely 15 points so far and just three weeks to go in the game, they are flirting with embarrassment.
    Here are rankings:
1)
Bobby, 421 points
2)
Lesley, 330 points
3)
Lanie, 270 points
4)
Mike S., 265 points
5)
Sherry, 265 points
6)
Liz, 193 points
7)
Katy, 160 points
8)
Mike W., 85 points
9)
Judy, 65 points
10)
Molly, 55 points
11)
Shane/Betsy, 15
Mike makes leap from journalism to modeling

NEW ORLEANS -- Look out, George Costanza; there's a
new hand model in town.

Mike made the quantum leap from journalist to supermodel recently when his hand was photographed and featured on the front page of The Times-Picayune's Sunday Money section.
The story was about the failed merger of New Orleans' Entergy Corp., for which Bobby happens to work, and the evil Florida Power & Light. Since the merger fell through, officials at both companies have blamed the other for the failure. The story was titled "Blame Game," and Mike's businesslike hand, complete with a computer-generated Entergy cuff link, was shown nearly life size pointing sternly at a hand with an FP&L cuff link.
The performance has been hailed as Oscar-caliber.
"Well, I've felt for a long time that with digits as handsome as mine, I had an obligation to share them with the world," Mike said. "I just hope that my colleagues in the modeling world don't hold my undeniable beauty against me when we do the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue."

Contrary to popular belief, the "LT" on the jersey's in Grandma's team photo do not stand for "Lady Tigers," but for L.T. High School, Hazel says.
And be sure to check out ...
COVINGTON -- Ask and you shall receive.
Just days after we relayed a weeks-old request by
Bobby for a copy of Grandma's '30s-era basketball team photo, Jennifer came through.
It seems the photo in question has been occupying a place of honor on Jennifer's wall, so she e-mailed it directly to us.
We, in turn, have made it available here. Here's how you can get a copy:
1) Click on the photo above. That will take you to a much more high-res version of the photo.
Slam dunk: Old photo is found
Jennifer scores by providing picture
2) Place your cursor  over the new version, click the righthand mouse button and select "Save Picture As."
3) Select the folder in which you want to save the photo. (Desktop is always a safe bet.)
From there, you can upload it to an online photo site, such as
snapfish.com, and order a reprint.
The photo garnered dozens of smiles at Grandma's funeral last week. Interestingly, though,
Hazel said the photo is not an LSU photo as we thought, but a team photo from L.T. High School.
