COVINGTON -- When we saw you last, we still had among us a tall lover of showtunes, an annoying vegetarian, a bloodthirsty future burn victim and a scheming bearded man with few other charac- ter traits. Since then, all have been voted off the continent, but the leaderboard in our fantasy "Survivor" league has hardly changed. Aided by his early "research," Bobby's team (171 points) still is in the lead, followed closely by Lesley (135), and, by sheer luck and coincidence, Liz (120). The bottom of the list, likewise, is familiar: Mike Scott (with a measley 45 points), Katy (a woeful 40 points) and Betsy (an outright laughable 10 points). IMPORTANT NOTE:This week's episode airs Wednesday night rather than in its usual Thursday-night timeslot, so log on and make your picks: tvgames. yahoo.com/survivor.
So what the heck is Michelle up to nowadays? GREENVILLE, S.C. - One of the newer residents of Greenville, S.C., is getting along fine in her new job, although she can't help missing her family. "I'm doing great so far," Michelle wrote in a recent e-mail. "Living in ... my own apartment, furnished and all. Nice area, hilly and cool -- much, much cooler than Florida right now. I miss my friends and folks very much (and alllll my cousins, of course). Thank goodness for e-mail and cheap cell-phone rates." And, of course, for good jobs. "My boss is great, and I've really lucked out with some very challenging projects," she wrote. "My current projects are installing new software throughout all of GE Power Systems to upload our manuals online for reviewing and auditing ease. ... The best project I have so far is a Six Sigma project, with training, which is the highest ranked quality training in the industry right now. This would be great for me since it's so closely linked to my major."

Benjamin conquers the challenge of crawling
COVINGTON -- Showing off those athletic genes that are a family trait, Benjamin has become a champion crawler. At 7 months, he has perfected the art, making his parents proud and nervous at the same time. "Man, we were just getting to the point with Sam where we could leave a certain amount of breakables on the lower shelves. As long as it didn't have a sharp point or a fuse, we were in the clear," Mike said. "Now, though, we've got to
babyproof everything all over again. I just don't know what I'm going to do with my collection of Chinese throwing stars. Sigh." For his part, Ben actually has been crawling for about three weeks, although it took him about a week to really get the hang of it. Since then, he's been motoring all over, Mike said, and has taught himself how to transition into the unassisted situp. "Next, I'm going to teach him the Heisman pose," Mike said.
