COVINGTON --  The envelope, please ...
For the third straight year, family members will get a chance to live their red-carpet dreams with the annual
family Oscar
prediction
game.
   The rules are
simple: Log on,
and predict who
you think will
win in each of
the major cate-
gories at the 2003 Academy Awards show. The person with the most correct picks is the winner.
The game is, of course, free to play, although to play you'll need to set up a complimentary Yahoo! e-mail account at
www.yahoo.com. Then, after logging on, visit the Oscar game site. As always, if you want to play but have trouble getting in, let us know and we'll help out.
SURVIVOR GAME: It's only been on for three weeks, but already there's tons of action in the family Survivor poll. After Steven jumped out to an early lead in Week One, Mike and Bob both surged in Week Two, thanks to a trio of naked hotties, with only four points separating them.
   The standings at this point:

1) Mike            5) Kelly
2) Bobby          6) Lesley
3) Steven          7) Betsy&Shane
4) Katy             8) Judy&Mick

NEW ORLEANS -- With a possible war brewing in Iraq, Vince learned this week that he's heading out.

Sherry and Vince aren't sure where he'll be going, but he's set to report to his base Wednesday, the day after Mardi Gras. From there, he could be sent to California, the Phillipines, the Middle East -- it's anyone's
guess.
"He is to report to his base in New Orleans on Wednesday, March 5. He will spend a few days at the base preparing equipment,
Unit to ship out
on Ash Wednesday
Hooray for Hollywood!
Vince gets marching orders
etc., and he and his company will fly to California on Sunday, March 8. For now that is all the infomation that we have been given," Sherry wrote in a recent e-mail.
Vince has been in the Marine Corps for more than 15 years and spent
several months in the 1991  Persian Gulf War shortly after he and Sherry were
married. This time, though, he's leaving behind Gus, who will be 4 in
April, and 1-year-old Marigny.
But never caught with their pants down (well, rarely), the family is
prepared. They got a new dog, Barney, earlier this month, and Vince has
spent the past few weeks getting into shape in anticipation of his
departure.
"I appreciate all of your support and prayers," Sherry wrote. "Please keep them coming -- we will need them. Vince, as always, is proud to be an American and a Marine. He is sad to be leaving his family and friends, but he feels very strongly that we need to protect our country, and he is proud to be able to do so.
I will send out address information as soon as we

get it -- not sure if he will have e-mail or not. I know a huge source of strength for him last time was hearing from his family and friends."

Now your
chance to show off your mug
NEW ORLEANS --  When it comes to be photogenic, our family is hard to match. That's why Uncle Don Scott has come up with an idea to let everybody put the mugs they love on, well, mugs.
His new photo mug enterprise has him putting peoples' favorite photos on coffee mugs.
He invites everybody to contact him via e-mail,
[email protected], if they're interested.
"They can order by e-mail," he said in a recent e-mail, "but must send the photos they want to use on mug. There will be a shipping fee to cover cost of sending the finished mug."
