My name is Diane McGuire. I am 54 years old. I have been married 34 years and have 2 daughters, Tammy ( 33years old ),Maureen ( 30 years old). I have two beautiful granddaughters, Brynn & Kiera (1years old) and another grandchild to be born in September.

I became ill at the age of 50, where I became very fatigued. I couldn't walk up the stairs, exercise or walk any distance without getting short of breath. My regular blood pressure went high sky and started get pains in my chest. I went to the doctor and he did a whole battery of tests and then referred me to a cardiologist. He did some more tests,such as an ekg.,chest ex-rays, breathing tests, C.T Scan and last of all an ultra sound of the heart. The ultra sound came back with a very enlarged heart and very high pressures.

The next step was being referred to Dr. Bshouty's clinic,where he did some more tests and a Right Heart Catherization. The results were at the of 52 years of age I had Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. A very sad and scary day for me and my family.

I have come to the realization that yes, I have PPH, but with the new drugs such as Bosentan & etc.hopefully I will be around along time to enjoy my life with my wonderful husband,daughters & my grandchildren.
