1) Something Blue�Season 4, Willow�s spell to have her will be done goes awry. The first hints of Buffy and Spike sparkage make. This is a must-see episode. 2) Phases�Season 2. Someone in Sunnydale is a werewolf. Yummy Willow and Oz goodness and learning about Oz�s dual nature. His first pivotal episode. 3) Restless�Season 4. Buffy, Willow, Xander and Giles have some interesting dreams. Totally original and unique season 4 ender that can be analyzed to death. Really hits on the freakiness and obscurity of dreams while providing subtle clues about all good things to come, and its got the Cheese man! 4) What's My Line pt 2�Season 2. Spike tries to cure Dru by kidnapping Angel and sending assassins after Buffy. And there�s another Slayer in town. It�s got everything: Scoobies in full force, Angel, Spike and Dru, Bug man, Kendra, Yummy Xander/Cordelia moments and Willow/Oz sweetness, plus the greatest �animal cracker� dialogue since (or before) Armageddon: �I mock you with my monkey pants.� 5) Beauty and the Beasts�Season 3. A beast is killing innocents of Sunnydale. Is it Oz? Is it a back-from-hell Angel or is it a guy doing a Jekyll and Hyde? Underrated episode, but an interesting one for the Bangel and Wiloz relationships. Oz�s werewolf-ness is a boon in this eppy. �Bloody priceless� moment from Giles and yummy � nekkidness of Angel and Oz. Plus who doesn�t get swept up when Angel saves Buffy then weeps at her feet? 6) Graduation Day pt 2�Season 3. Finale. The senior class of Sunnydale High rocks the house as they come together to fight the Mayor�s Ascension. Great moments for secondary characters: Harmony, Jonathon, Larry, and Principal Snyder. A great end to High School life for the Scoobs. 7) Once More with Feeling�Season 6, the musical episode. �Life�s a show� and this episode is quite a one too! All singing, all dancing! Brilliant moment of harmony (not the vamp) from Giles and Tara with �Wish I could stay� (unedited version only). Can watch it over and over and over and over� 8) Ted�Season 2. Joyce�s got a new man on her hands, but he isn�t all that he seems. Noteworthy for the best BTVS guest star EVER (aside from Seth Green of course). John Ritter as Ted is serendipity (�You want gravy with that?�), and the popular concept of �bots� is introduced to the show. 9) New Moon Rising�Season 4. Just as Willow and Tara begin to get cozy� Oz�s return was truly welcome and his ability to control his wolf-ness was hand-slappingingly good. Too bad for us it was a short stay. But watching Spike help the Scoobs infiltrate the initiative was a plus. 10) Hush�Season 4. The silent episode. Arguably the scariest Buffy episode ever. With the creepiest looking villains and the most-bone-chilling score. A masterpiece of television. Honorable mention: The Zeppo�Season 3. Xander questions his cool factor. Scoobs fight the apocalypse in the background, while Xander�s got a big night out and a �hot� encounter with Faith. The Gift�Season 5. Finale. A great end to a turbulent season 5. Did anyone see Buffy�s death coming? Angst to the max and tears overflowing. |
