Garden Center
Now's the perfect time to get your garden ready for the dormant months ahead.  There is much pruning, digging, and re-planting to be done, so get started!

Prune Back Branches & Prepare the Lawn
-Do any pre-winter pruning of long tree limbs that may hang over your roof well in advance of the first frost.
-If you think your kid is the only one who needs a booster shot this time of year, find out how to give your lawn an extra boost - we promise it won't hurt.

Prepare for Cooler Weather
-Dig up perrenials, separate the roots and replant them.  This keeps them healthy and it is a good way to get more plants.
-
Dig up summer bulbs that you planted since they won't make it through the winter.
-If you want lillies next summer, plant them now.  To find the specific planting times check the label on the plant's package.

Fall Planting
-Do you miss your garden when winter comes?  Try a container garden you can bring inside  before the first frost.  Be sure to choose containers of adequate size and it is best not to use garden soil.  There are many great pre-mixed soils (Miracle-Gro for example) that work great!
-If you have an herb garden don't rush to using it up.  Instead find out
how to dry herbs for later when a taste of summer will be welcome.
