GLOBAL WARMING

Are we really enjoying global warming? How about all that snow and ice covering almost half the country? What about wind chill temperatures minus 32 degrees fairenhight in some areas? This actually happened last December (2000) even before the official onset of winter on the 21st. I wonder how severe the weather would have been without all that man-made effort supposedly destroying the ozone layer?
Remember not too long ago scientists and politicians were totally convinced the Earth was doomed to cool significantly in the next few years. That concept wouldn’t sell so now it’s global warming instead. Could it be these same people are letting their own interests interfere with sound judgment? They blamed the enlargement of the Earths’ protective ozone hole on such things as hair spray, leaded gasoline and even cow flatulence! If the latter is blamed, it wouldn’t come only from cows!
I agree clean air and water is extremely important to all God’s creatures everywhere and every reasonable improvement to both should be made. Our wizards of technology are tremendously helpful, but shouldn’t we consider other more important forces at work?
Our Earth is a vibrant living Planet continually changing and evolving regardless of what Man does. From Earths fragile beginning eons ago, earthquakes, volcanic activity, glaciers advancing and receding, the rise and fall of ocean levels creating destroying and shifting huge land masses, along with an occasional comet or asteroid hitting Earth (some with devastating results) have influenced and will continue to affect this planets’ atmosphere in the future. Of course the Sun has always had the single greatest day-to-day influence of our weather patterns.
The Earth does not spin with fixed uniformly, but actually “wobbles” in its never ending orbit through space around the Sun. Gravitational pull from our moon and other Planets create ocean tides and actually affect the angle of Earths axis. Is it possible minute changes in this “tilt” has more to do with the heating or cooling of the atmosphere than we realize? Does the continuing reduction in the speed of Earths rotation influence weather patterns? What about heat rising from Earths inner core? What is the effect of differences in gravitational pull from the equator to the poles?
Accurate record keeping of Planet Earths weather patterns is less than 150 years old. Measured against billions of years, it is statistically insignificant! Even with the availability of modern technology our meteorologists have a difficult time forecasting local weather a few days in advance. How can weather patterns be projected hundreds of years in the future?
I am not a trained scientist or politician and I don’t play one on TV, but I can tell you with absolute certainty after consulting my Ouija Board and reading Harry Potter books, I don’t believe one word of doom and gloom weather doublespeak some of our scientists and politicians try to force-feed us. They are simply after money and power and will stop at nothing to achieve their goal!
