THE NIGHTMARE

I love waking up to a morning with rain,
Lightly trickling down the window pane.

But, one dark morning, I woke up shivering,
I sat up, and I, remembering,

Screamed out his name from the past.
How long would this last?

I couldn't count you out the many nights
I woke up crying his name divine when lights

Weren't even on in the home of I,
The one you know as not to lie

The troubled deamer whose dreams haunt
Her though she doesn't want

To remeber why she wouldn't
Buy only knows why she couldn't

Save her friend's heart and mind
From the death of a kind

That strips your soul from you
When you left the golden gates so true.

And as I stare at the night sky
All I ask is why?

If we were going to be together for always,
Why did you choose the evil of the two passageways?

Now apart we shall always be,
Me without you, and you without me.
