1. In your browser, go up to Edit, then choose preferences
2. Once in preferences, open the tab for "privacy & security">br> 3. Click on "PopUp Window Controls"
4. Here you will have the option for allowing or suppressing popups within your browser. Choose suppress popups.
5. If you wish to see popups in certain sites (IE, in chats you have the option to see profiles in a popup), simply click "exceptions" and type in the url for the site you wish to be exempt from the suppression.

Voila! You are now pop-up free!

Unfortunately for those who use IE, I have yet to find a way to suppress the popups through the browser's settings. When/if I do find a way, I will be sure to let you know!
