I had heard so many wonderful things about Shrek 2, so I just had to see it. Keep in mind that Shrek, the first movie, bored me so much that I couldn't even watch the edited version on ABC. I knew very little about Shrek when I went to the movie, but I sat through it anyway.

Now, Shrek 2 had some ups and downs. All-in-all, it was everything I had expected it to be. Horrible Disney parodies, what I saw as a lack of humor but great graphics. The plot line was rather shaky. A married couple who visit the in-laws, in-laws who end up hating what has become of the couple, a father who tries to destroy the marriage and they all end up "happily ever after."

Donkey, played by Eddie Murphy, had more lines than the title-baring character Shrek ( Mike Meyers ). Donkey also stole the show. He had more lines, all the hilarious lines, horrible ( turned funny ) singing, and a general hate for Puss....In Boots. And Cameron Diaz was barely heard from since the beginning of the movie.

Aside from Donkey, the only other characters that made Shrek 2 bearable were Fairy God Mother and Prince Charming. I wanted to punch them both, but at the same time, found them to be very funny.

Over all, Shrek 2 is a movie only for children. It has it's humor in certain characters, but I feel sorry for anyone who can't walk out.
