Dear Rabbi,
Can I have a siddur (prayer book) that's loaded into my Palm Pilot and be able to take it into the bathroom without any problems?

Dear Email@Withheld,

You can take the Palm Pilot into the bathroom, but I would suggest that it would be inappropriate to actually have the text displayed on the screen at the time.

From OU's Torah Tidbits
Check out Eli Mayerfeld's siddur. The Birkat haMazon has AL HANISIM and YAALEH V'YAVO on "tap" if needed, as hypertext. Requires Hebrew support. It doesn't have R'TZEI. Nice touch.

An example of Technology serving Torah.

Anyone who has downloaded Birkat HaMazon (and used it) knows that Al HaNissim and Yaaleh V'yavo are user activated. That means that if it is Rosh Chodesh, you tap on the box marked Yaaleh V'yavo and it pops up. If it isn't Rosh Chodesh, you just bench past the box. That makes a computer program more "friendly" than a printed bencher. The Mincha and Maariv that are downloadable for free are not like that, but the registered versions are. It is a good idea to register these kind of programs so that those who write these programs will be encouraged to continue to do so. The fees are not at all high, but the statement to the programmer is strong - "I appreciate your efforts and I'd like to see more."

From IsraelWire:

If One's Palm Pilot Falls, One Must Kiss It

(IsraelWire-5/21/00) More and more members of the Orthodox community can be found using their trusty Palm Pilots for spiritual tasks, such as prayers, grace after meals, learning Torah, and more.

Rabbi Ephraim Zalmanovitz, the spiritual leader of Mazkeret Batia, has
issued a halachic (Jewish law) ruling that one who has 'holy' software
installed on one's pilot, and drops it, one must kiss it as one does to a holy book such as a prayer book or Psalms....
