The way I knew hypertext was just a way of connecting pieces of text to another in quickly and directly form. I hadn¡¦t known that hypertext is such extensive. Now it guides me fall in love with reading in many ways, such as their linking style, the animations sounds and various kind of visual images, etc¡K.but till now I am not exactly get along well with hypertext. From our fifteen artworks I am mostly interested in ¡§lies¡¨
¡§lies¡¨ has a simple structure, each page just has two link one is truth and the other is lies. I think it is the most interested place in this artwork. Although it is only a story, the author gives our readers a space to choice. To choice what thing we believe in. I like this artwork because I think it is also a kind of test which is testing our mind and our judgment.
¡§Textension¡¨ and ¡§it¡¦s alive¡¨ give us a form of visual effect. They both are active but different in construction. ¡§textension¡¨ has ten fixed designs. They are so fantastic but I don¡¦t know whether we can change its fonts or not. If it can, I think it will be very attractive to put on the web. In ¡§It¡¦s alive¡¨ the word doesn¡¦t move itself. It needs the maker draw it¡¦s to the place with arrow point. The most common thing in this artwork is that we can change it¡¦s words styles, colors and other fonts as we like. In contrast I am imaging if we mixed these two different form of artworks into one then what kind of visual effect we will get them.
Beside the above of three artwork, ¡§carving in possibilities¡¨ is also on of the most interesting one. It simply use sound effect to attract the readers. I think it is very suitable by putting horrible sounds to drag out a horrible image. It makes the reader quickly fall into an excited situation.
Arytenoids also using back grounds to attract the readers. It is a shooting game but not any weapon there, just play words by word. It can play as an entertainments. Sometime I found that it is also can play as an abreact material, because we can transform words for what we want to shoot. Therefore it is a good material for an angry person. From shooting words we also can get pleasure and self fulfillment. That is why I love this game more than other.
In my opinion, Chroma is the most difficult one . it is a flume like. It have voices. Narrators, animations and visual images. There is no many linking pattern this artwork. When looking at this part I have a feeling of watching of discovery program. I think it will be very too difficult to fulfill with such kind of artwork.
