Personal - I am adopting as a single, first-time mom and can't wait until we get our referrals! I have a cat (Jasper - shown below) who is young and very mischievous. There's a great group of people here in Fairbanks, Alaska, that have adopted from China (most of them have 2 children now). Four of us are waiting and I am second in the queue. It turns out that the third waiting mom is a friend of mine from grade school back in NY who now lives in Fairbanks too (that red thread!). It is going to be a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to meeting some of my fellow May DTC's in China. |
