CHRI$TION* "THE NEW VOICE OF THE PUBLIC"Counter Born and raised in Harlem, NY, Leonor "Christion" Moody's main goal since the age of 14 was to become an aspiring rap artist. Inspired by her tough life growing up in the projects, spending a year in a group home and being a single parent, Chris keeps it raw and raps about life, the streets, and real situations. At first glance of her you might think she's just another pretty face but her slick lyrics along with her neck breaking beats quickly change your mind. Chris is mainly known for her consistent great work, unique style, versitility, and remaining focused. She started off battle rapping in the streets and after being introduced to producer "Omen" (who's worked with Paul Cain, Fabolous, Memphis Bleek, Mya, Lauryn Hill, and Amil), she was put into the studio to record her demo right away. Chris then formed a group known as "Koyote Uglee", whose buzz in the streets grew rapidly. She released the mixed tape vol. 1 which was filled with 35 tracks of hot songs, freestyles, and tracks by producers such as Rockwilder, Trackmasters, Self Service, and Omen. Koyote Uglee has performed in hot spots like Justin's, Club Star, and Club 101. They were also named Street's Mos magazine's unsigned artists of the month. Chris is currently working on her solo project. She has worked with J mills(Universal), P. Diddy's Babs, and recorded a freestyle to be featured on Memphis Bleek's "Get Low" mixed tape. That cut was played on hot 97's Funk Master Flex's show. Chris has also shared her skills with artists such as Desert Storm's Fabolous. She has completed a cd and dvd with hot 97 and Funk Flex that is in stores now(beatstreet, birkina, rock and soles). In the mist of her blazing the mic @ spots like D.J. Clue's Cherry Lounge or The Crimson Lounge, she will be featured on the "Grab Tha Mic" dvd. Dubbed the Harlem Times newspaper's "Beauty of the Week", Christion is history in the making with a sort of "I'm hot but humble" attitude that shines thru in her music. When asked what she wants the world to know about her she replied: " Don't let the pretty face and the heels fool you 'cause Chris is coming hard. I got a lot to say so it's best if these chicks just stay out of my way. I'm what the game needs now. In the words of the great Jay Z, AFTER ME THERE WILL BE NONE." 1 |
