Locomotives and Rolling Stock (current 18 May 2005)

MNR is set in New South Wales in the early to mid 1980's, at the transition from the Tuscan era to the Candy State Rail era.  No specific time or place has been set to enable a variety of models and liveries to run.

The arrival of 42220 to Brackley brought the announcement of the return to service of 42211 and the immanent return of 3801.  It also saw the gathering of all MNR locos at Brackley.  See the pictures (1, 2, 3, 4) at MNR's Fotopic site.

After short periods out of action, 42211 has returned to full service with general duties in and out of Brackley and 3801 is undergoing trials.  3820 is running better after a minor service.  XP2017 has been serviced and is running consistantly.  4897, 48125 and 8019 have been running flawlessly since their arrivals. over the past 6 months.

A visit to the Sapphire Coast Railway has inspired the Maybe Never carriage builders to commence work on CPH 3.  CPH 3 has been chosen ahead of CPH 17 as the first CPH to be built as CPH 3 shares a birthday with the MNR CEO (17 December).  CPH 17 will follow.

At present all locos and rolling stock are equipped with 'European' style couplers.  At the moment, there is no intention to convert to Kadee's until the layout is more advanced.
