| Chapter 1: The Hotel "Are we there yet, are we there yet, are we there yet," Nick whined tapping his fingers impatiently on the table. "Act your age, not like a five year old," Kevin Richardson sighed from his bunk. "He can't, his mental abilities aren't that of a 21 year-old, but they are of a five-year old," Brian joked. "Ha ha, you're sooooo funny Brian," Nick pouted leaning his head against the window of the tour bus. He saw buildings and homes whizzing by. "Do you guys know when we are going to be there?" Howie Dorough asked looking up from the book he was reading. "Two minutes," AJ McLean stated from his bunk. "Good, if I hear Nick ask if we're there yet one more time I will kill him," Howie sighed as he kept reading. "So we arrive at our hotel at what, 6:00, then tomorrow at 7:30 we have a photo shoot, then a meeting with the press then we get 2 hours off then we have our concert right?" Brian asked plopping down on the couch. "Correct," Kevin's voice came again. Suddenly the bus screeched to a halt in front of their hotel. They looked out and saw hundreds of people were crowded around the front door and they were all screaming. The five guys knew the drill; they put their hats on, they gathered all the stuff they could comfortably carry and then they gathered at the front of the bus. They filed out one by one and ran as fast as possible into the hotel. "Which rooms are we in?" Brian asked as he hit the 'up' button on the elevator. "I believe you guys are in rooms 345, 346, and 347," Nelson, one of their bodyguards stated. "I get my own room," AJ stated before anyone could lay claim on the only room that had one person. "I'm sharing with Howie then," Kevin stated as the six of them boarded the elevator. "Fine by my," Nick stated hitting the '3'button. Five minutes later Nick and Brian walked into their room. It was rectangle shaped and at the far end was a balcony. Next to the door was the bathroom then there were the two queen beds. "I call bed closest to the balcony," Nick stated as he threw his bags down on it. "Ok, I guess I get the bed closest to the bathroom," Brian sighed as he put his down at the end of the bed, "you don't mind if I take a nap, do you man?" "Not at all, I'm gonna go get something to eat, you want anything?" Nick walked towards the door. "Sure, and could you get me some orange juice?" Brian laid down on his bed. "K, See you in a bit," Nick grabbed his room key and walked out. A few minutes later he was walking out of the vending area. He was attempting to hold a box of donuts, two bottled waters, a coffee in a Styrofoam cup, and orange juice in a Styrofoam cup. He was looking at the paintings on the wall when suddenly he crashed into someone. "Oh Sweet Jesus Christ!" the person shouted as they both crashed to the ground. Nick was stunned for a moment. He was sitting flat on his butt staring at the person lying on the floor. She was covered in the food he had gotten. She had a chocolate donut on her stomach, a cream puff on her leg. In her hair were the rest of the donuts and the gum Nick had been chewing. On her white tank top was his entire cup of coffee, and Brian's orange juice; too bad they weren't in their cups anymore. "Are you ok?" he asked standing up and leaning over her. "No, that really goddamn hurt," she snapped standing up, "and you have just managed to ruin my Versace jeans and my Tommy Hilfiger shirt. And think you might have ruined my leather Dolce and Gabbana coat. Maybe next time you should watch where you're bloody well going." "Well, I'm sorry," Nick stated picking up his bottled waters. When he straighted up he got a good look at her face. She was stunning. She had wavy shoulder-length golden blond hair that had small braids placed sporadically. She was almost as tall as he was too. She had quite a bit of makeup on, but it still didn't cover up the fact that she was naturally gorgeous. But what were the most breathtaking were her eyes. They were blue, but not quite, more a silvery blue. "How am I supposed to go outside like this?" she sighed bitterly then looked at her shirt. By her right shoulder was a huge brown coffee stain, in the center of her chest was a huge orange juice stain and on the left side of her stomach was a round chocolate stain. "Aren't you staying in this hotel," Nick asked. "No, I was visiting someone, I'm staying around the corner," she snapped, "why, are you planning on sending me flowers or something." "No, I was going to ask if you wanted to come up to my hotel room, have a shower, and maybe you could borrow some of my clothes," he stated looking at her. "Not like I have a choice," she groaned, "lead the way." "My room's on the third floor," he stated as they boarded the elevator. "Is this they way you pick up all females, ruin their expensive clothes then ask them up to your room to take a shower?" she asked crossing her arms over her chest. "No, this is the first time I've tried it, may I ask, why are you being so mean to me," Nick asked as they stepped off the elevator. "You just ruined $500 worth of clothes because you thought some paintings were pretty," she looked at him. "I said I was sorry," he groaned as they got up to the room. "Sometimes sorry isn't good enough," she sighed. |
