i want to write a song for you, but i don't know where to begin. i want to make it personal, with memories that only we have. i want to make it deep, with feelings only we have. i want to make it beautiful, the kind of song that sends shivers down only our spines. but i don't know where to begin.

do i begin with the first night, when we got lost? about how neither of us had any idea that we'd end up the way we are now?

or do i begin with the moment i realized that i really love you? not just as a person who can make me not alone, but as YOU.

or do i begin with the way you told me you love me for the first time? (*lol*)

do i throw in Deleware? or Rolla? or The Buffalo? or the many forests we've gotten lost in? what about the cheap theater in NLR?

What about sunburns and early mornings? or rain, a Datsun, and endless stretches of 40? or our conversations before we sleep and cigarettes? or walking for miles around your house or getting chased by rabid cows?

it seems that it's shaping up to be an epic.
yet i still don't know where to begin.
