And so the adventure begins...
Well, here I sit in the Seattle/Tacoma Airport. I was supposed to be getting ready to board a flight to Cancun right about now, but as luck would have it, my flight was cancelled. Right now, I'm on standby for another flight. Anyone want to make any bets as to whether or not I'll make it? *grin*
The flight here to Seattle wasn't nearly this exciting. I wonder if this is a sign of what I have waiting in store for me in Cancun? Of course, I was stuck in the middle seat of the middle aisle for a 10 hour flight, which is never fun. But the guy next to me was interesting, and quite excited to be there. He was a midwife from Nairobi, Kenya and had already been flying for I think he said 6 hours. He was going to a conference in Portland, Oregon, and was then heading on to see his brother in Boston, Mass. Talk about a long flight! He showed me a picture of his wife and baby son, whom he named "Happy" because he was so happy when he was born. Sweet, isn't it? :-) He was of course there for his son's birth, and was even the midwife for her. I don't know if I would want that. :-p

Phew - I'm really struggling to stay awake here. *grin* The funny thing is, if I make this standby, then I'll be on the same flight as everyone else. Well, flying down there, at least... *chuckle* At this rate, I have no idea what to expect for my flight back or my adventures down there... But hey! I'm danger girl, right? I live for adventures, I just hope I live throught it. *wink*
