"HAULT!!" the gaurd said, but it was too late.
"Never!" the blonde-headed girl said, as she turned around and shot the man. "Romefeller will never again be!"
"Wha-? It's a...GIRL?!" yelled a command officer from a mobile suit. "Seize her at once! She'll never escape!"
"In your dreams," Mei said as she turned around and pushed a button. The building she came out of just exploded, killing almost everyone in the building. "Mission complete."
Mei climbed into her Gundam. "Ha! Those people can't do a thing about finding me. No one will know I was here."
Mei created her own Gundam out of scrapped Gundanium Alloy she found surfaced on the beach. Since she was small, she had a dream of going into space and defeating those who tested her and her freedoms. She worked on her Gundam day and night, whenever she wasn't in school. Her father helped her build it, and he was the only person other than her mother who knew about it. They told no one about her missions. Her father was a commander of the Preventer Organization, and she worked secretly on their side. You had to be over 16 to fight, and she wasn't. And where she wanted to fight, you had to be male. Mei hated that word with a passion. Just because of your gender, you have to fight in certain places. She said it was just as silly about your age and color. Some day, Mei would change it all to fit rules she wanted to live by.
"Ma'am," Mei said as she entered the receptionist office. "Has dad reported in yet?"
"Let me see, Mei," the receptionist said before she picked up the receiver to phone in and see if Commander Rockwell was in. "Yes, he's in his office."
"Thanks," Mei said in a low voice. She straightened her shirt. She knocked on the door.
"Come in," her father's commanding voice spoke.
"Hi!" Mei said as she smiled and waved a victory sign in front of her face. "You busy?"
"Never too busy for you. What do you need?" her father said as he motioned for the pilot sitting in the chair across him to stand up and let Mei sit in the chair.
"I need to talk to you privately, please," Mei said with her pilot smile. Her unruly blonde hair kept getting in her face, and her father wanted to chop it off so badly, but Mei wouldn't let him.
"Oh, alright. Heero, would you mind leaving for a moment?"
"No problem sir," Heero said flatly. "Good day." He winked at Mei, and Mei almost giggled. She had a secret crush on Heero, but she knew he was already taken.
"What is it, Mei?"
"I did it! I destroyed the base. It's all gone," Mei said cheerfully.
"Wonderful. Now you better fly home. Do you still have your air ticket?"
"Yes. But, why can't I stay? I wanna fight more," Mei said almost whining.
"You could fight more, but you'd be of no use. The women around here just repair Mobile Suits," Commander said.
"Yeah. How exciting."
"I can't help it. I didn't make those rules, and you know it."
"Sure, sure...At least I destroyed the base by myself this time. Trowa didn't tell, did he?"
"About last time? No, he kept it safe. Now, go. Tell mom hi for me, okay?" the Commander said as he got up from his chair to hug Mei.
"Okay," Mei said as she hugged her dad. "I'll go get my stuff from my hotel. Bye!" Mei ran out the door. She forgot her manners ever since her father decided to let her help.
"Mei!"
"Oh, hi!" Mei said as she saw Duo standing by the cafeteria.
"What's up? You have to go home now?"
"Yes, I'm sad to say. I love it here! I would love to work on Mobile suits all by myself," Mei said with a twinkle in her eye.
"You could work on mine," Duo said with a smirk.
"You're weird," Mei said as she tugged on Duo's braid. "I have to go get my stuff now."
"I'll drive you," Duo said.
"That's fine with me, as long as you don't have to go someplace now."
"Okay. My car's over there!" Duo said happily as he ran to his car.
"Slow down, dude" Mei said as she got tangled up with her purse.
"Sorry. I forgot, you're a lady."
"Yeah, right. I wouldn't call myself that. No lady I've ever known surfs at her own free will," the blonde Hawaiin said as she sat in the cold car. It was winter time and Mei loved snow, since she didn't see any at home.
"I guess," Duo chuckled.
"This has been a rad trip," Mei said, catching herself use surfing lingo again.
"Hey, Mei," Duo said as he started towards the highway.
"What?" Mei said focusing on the boy with the braid.
"Do you have a boyfriend?" Duo said.
"No....why?" Mei said with suspission in her eyes.
"Just wondering. What kind of guys do you like?"
"One's that will actually pay attention to me. You aren't thinking what I think you're thinking, are you?"
"I dunno," he said mischeviously. He pulled into the hotel parking lot.
"Thanks, Duo," Mei said as she got out of the paggenger's seat.
"Do you need a lift to the airport?"
"No, I'll be fine. Bye!" Mei slammed the door shut. She got out her hotel key and climbed up the staircase. She got to her room, unlocked the door and grabbed her bags. She started humming "Come On Over, Baby" by Christina Aguilera, which she heard on an oldies station. She locked her door and went to the desk to check out. Trowa was supposed to take her to the airport, so she sat outside and waited for him. Finally, he arrived. He was like Mei's older brother, so was Duo. She waved at the car and he surprisingly waved back.
"Hey, Trowa!" she said as she opened the door to his Ford Explorer.
"Hi, Mei. Are you ready?" he said as he greeted her by giving her a quick hug.
"Yup...I mean, yes."
"Where did you hide your Gundam?" he said in a hushed tone.
"Dad took care of it. Do you know what Duo has been up to lately?"
"No. Why? He playing match maker again?" Trowa said with a small laugh.
"I think so. Who knows who he is gonna set me up with."
"I don't know," Trowa said with the truth hidden in his eyes.
"You know, don't you?" Mei said as her face turned red, but it wasn't from the cold. She was blushing. A rare occurance, just like Heero smiling at her.
"Yes, and I'm sworn to secreacy."
"Oh! That's not fair!" Mei said wining.
"You have met all the pilots, right?" Trowa said, changing the subject.
"Nope. I haven't met that 'Quatre' one daddy always talks about."
"Oh, I see..."
"I have had the extrodinary luck of meeting that Wufei fellow, though. He's just a peach," Mei said smiling.
"Especially towards women," Trowa said as he turned on to the drive that led to the gate.
"So I noticed. You can let me off here."
"You sure?"
"Yes. Don't give me the 'You're just a girl, you shouldn't go anyplace without a big, strong man to help you'."
"Don't worry. I won't!"
"Bye, Trowa!"
Bye, Mei. Gimme a call when you get home. I'll update you if your dad hasn't."
"Okay." Mei waved goodbye, then grabbed her bags. She walked to her gate, and luckily, it was her turn to board.
All the way home, she thought about what Duo was planning. She brought her laptop with her and plugged it into the phone jack provided by the wonderful people in first class. She decided she would talk to her sister in college while she was doing absolutely nothing.
"Hello?" Mei said to the small camera in her computer.
"Hi!" Mei's sister, Amaya said.
"What's up? Are you busy or something?"
"Just busy packing my suitcase for Christmas break. What are you up to?"
"Nothing. I have a bad feeling Duo is setting up a blind date for me."
"Yikes! Why would you trust Duo?"
"He's like my bro., okay?"
"Sorry. Do you know who it is?"
"Nope. Trowa knows, but he wouldn't tell me. He changed the subject to another pilot named Qautre."
"Oh, you'll like Quatre. He's a cutie for a mere child," Amaya said mockingly.
"Big whoop. Listen we're gonna land soon. I'll talk with you later!" Mei shut the laptop and put it back in her backpack. She smiled. She hoped Quatre was a nice guy, if it was him. She always fell for blondes, so she hoped he was blonde, too.
"I hope he's cute," Mei said. She felt tired and laid her head back on the pillow. She didn't care if anyone had to get to the walkway to get to the bathroom. She wasn't moving an inch. She needed a nap. "I'll be home soon, Hawaii," Mei said, then drifted off to sleep.

Disclaimers: Sadly, I don't own Gundam Wing or any of it's lovely characters. I do, however own Mei, her dad (the Commander), her mom and her sister, Amaya. Don't copy them. I don't have enough money for a lawyer. Thanks to my friend Mariela for giving me ideas for the story! Oh, yeah...I'm not making any money off of this either, so don't even try to sue me!
