MWF World Champion: Anarkist w/General Manager
Fozzy
versus
"The Headliner" Hart Evans w/Rick "Acid" Jones and
Amanda
MWF World Championship Tournament Semi-Final,
Barbed Wire Baseball Bat Cage Match
Referee: Chad Pattison
Peter Santos: Ladies and Gentleman, it is now time for first
semi-final in the MWF World Championship Tournament! The following
match will be a Barbed Wire Baseball Bat Cage Match. The first
participant to reach the ring and climb over the cage wall into the
ring, will gain first possession of the barbed wire baseball. The
winner of the match will be the man to escape the cage first
Sully: Wow. This will be brutal.
JP: I can't argue with that. As we look to
the roof of the arena, we can see the cage lowering as we
speak.
Sully: And look in the ring, the baseball
wrapped in barbed wire lies untouched in the very centre of the
squared circle. Who do you think will grab it, JP?
JP: My money is on The Headliner.
Sully: Agreed. Hart Evans is smaller and
faster than the World Champion.
["Taking Me Down" by Hardline signals a chorus of strong boos from
the attending crowd. The Headliner, Hart Evans, paces through the
curtain and appears on the entrance ramp. His MWF Tag Title lies on
his shoulder. He stands proud at the top of the ramp to survey the
lowering of the cage.]
Peter Santos: Weighing in at 235 pounds, he is one half of the
MWF Tag Team Champions The Headliner Hart Evans!
Sully: It's great to see Hart Evans has Rick
Jones as his Co-Tag Champ again.
JP: It is as if they are meant together,
right?
Sully: Well they are the Canadian
Connection! Where is "Acid" anyway? And Amanda?
JP: There's not much they can do in a match
like this.
Sully: True.
JP: Hart Evans now has to wait at the top of
the ramp for his opponent, MWF World Champion, Anarkist. I believe
that once the bell goes, the men dash to the ring.
Sully: Look at Evans &endash; he looks
determined. Just to think that he had no place in the tournament a
week ago is amazing. This is his big chance. If he can defeat the
World Champ, he can defeat anybody.
JP: Quite right, in theory.
["Papercut" by Linkin Park brings the arena back to their feet.
Huge cheers pop into the air like fireworks as Anarkist strides onto
the entrance ramp clutching the MWF title in his right hand. He turns
his head slightly towards Hart Evans but feeds no emotion.]
Peter Santos: Weighing in at an incredible 313 pounds a member
of the "WMD" the MWF World Heavyweight Champion Anarkist!
Sully: I must admit, Anarkist looks ready
for hell which is what The Headliner is gonna give to him!
JP: In my eyes, both men have never looked
so ready to do battle. This might not be much of a classic wrestling
match, but it sure as hell will be a brawl.
[Anarkist looks back to the ring, where the cage is been fixed in
place by Referee Chad Pattison. Once in place, Pattison hurries up
the ramp and retrieves belts from both The Headliner and Anarkist. He
takes position to the rear of both wrestlers and holds his arms into
the air. The crowd stir as he stands still momentarily.]
JP: Here it comes
[Pattison drops his arms swiftly and the bell at ringside resounds
throughout the arena. Anarkist and Evans begin their sprint to the
ring. The Headliner takes the lead only to have Anarkist take over
and reach the cage first. Referee Pattison follows both men slowly.
Just as he is about to ascend the steel, Anarkist turns and elbows
Evans directly in the jaw.]
Sully: Ohh! Harsh! Is that legal?
JP: There isn't much legal about any of
this!
[Beginning his slowly climb, Anarkist hauls himself towards his
entrance to the ring. A dazed Evans begins his rise up the steel and
is soon able to grab a hold of Anarkist's tights. The World Champion
struggles but is unable to get rid of Evans. The Headliner climbs
further and low blows Anarkist. Anarkist looses balance and falls
from the side of the cage. He partially lands on his feet but
stumbles to the floor as Evans leaps over the top of the cage and
slowly descends to the mat. He takes his time, whilst smiling and
paying no attention to the fuming Anarkist who begins his second
ascent.]
Sully: So Evans will be the first to hold
the bat!
JP: But he wasn't the first to the cage was
he!?
Sully: Doesn't matter! Evans will hold the
bat first!
[As Anarkist reaches the top of the cage, Hart kneels and takes
the baseball bat by the handle. He sways it over his shoulder and
stamps his foot into the mat, readying himself for Anarkist, who
swings his legs over to the inside of the cage, and lowers himself
into the ring with haste. He turns to see The Headliner, stomping
hard into the canvas. A scream of "COME ON!" escapes from the lungs
of Hart Evans as Anarkist clenches his fists and stands motionless in
the corner of the ring.]
Sully: Can Hart Evans willingly destroy a
fellow Canadian?
JP: With something as important as the World
Championship on the line, I think he can "willingly" do anything, as
can Anarkist.
[With a roar, Evans charges forward and swings the barbed wire
baseball bat overhead. Anarkist dodges and the barbed wire becomes
caught on the turnbuckle. Evans attempts to pull the bat away but it
only becomes further entangled, and Anarkist brings his opponent to
the centre of the ring with a bulldog. He attempts to move towards
the hanging bat but Evans grips his boot. Anarkist turns and stops
Evans in the head. Once loose from his grasp, Anarkist reaches the
bat and tears it away from the turnbuckle pad.]
JP: It looks as if Anarkist will be the
first to use the bat!
[Wasting no time, Anarkist brings the bat down on Hart's head, as
he crawls across the ring. As he pulls the bat away, a tuft of hair
comes away from The Headliner's scalp.]
Sully: Ouch!
JP: The barbs piercing deep into the head
flesh!
[The crowd gasp and Hart Evans rolls across the ring in agony. The
crowd cheer in approval as Anarkist raises the bat into the air and
brings it down on Hart's spine. The Headliner wriggles in a spasm and
Anarkist voluntarily drops the bat to pick the Connection member up.
The Champion goes for a DDT but Evans reverses into a Northern Lights
suplex and springs straight to his fist. The crowd grow silent as
Evans screams in a rage and acquires the barbed wire bat from the
canvas. With haste, he repeatedly strikes Anarkist with the
injury-inflicting weapon and cackles as he does so.]
Sully: He's sick! I love it!
JP: This is gruesome to say the least.
Anarkist will be left scarred for life!
[Anarkist battles to move away, using his arms to defend most
shots from the bat. Blood shoots from his arms as he drops into the
corner. Rapidly, Evans throws the bat across the ring and runs at the
cage wall. He begins a furious climb. The walls shake violently as
Anarkist takes to his feet in the ring. He staggers towards the bat
and takes it as Evans reaches the top of the cage. As the crowd howl
at Anarkist to act fast, the World Champion launches the baseball bat
into the air. The spiked missile catches The Headliner in the back of
the neck, causing him to loose his grip and fall to the ring!]
JP: My God!
Sully: What a fall to the ring! And the
barbed bat in the neck! Ugh!
[The crowd's "Ooo!"s push Anarkist to continue his tirade. He
lifts the limp Evans and yanks the bat from his hair. He tosses the
bat aside, before jerking The Headliner into the air and slamming him
into the ground with a powerbomb. Anarkist glares at the blood on the
mat, coming directly from Hart's neck and spine. Taking into
consideration his own "spiked missile" invention, Anarkist decides to
holds the baseball bat as he begins his climb up the cage wall.]
JP: Anarkist never had a better
chance!
Sully: Don't count Hart Evans out of this
one! He's already stirring!
[The crowd go into a frenzy as Anarkist reaches the midway point.
The Headliner crawls and then stands. He staggers across the ring and
takes a grip of the cage. He sinks his hands through the gaps in the
steel and rattles the cage rabidly. Anarkist keeps his balance and
grip, however he drops the bat. It falls to the ring, barely missing
Hart Evans, who lifts the wood-and-barb weapon and holds it by the
very tip of the handle. On the balls of his feet, Evans strikes the
bat against Anarkist's rear. Anarkist shakes and attempts to climb
further, but the barbed wire latches onto his tights. With a firm
tug, Evans pulls Anarkist back down to the ring. Anarkist, however,
lands immediately on top of Evans, crushing him into the mat. Both
men lie in a heap in the ring as Chat Pattison, on the outside,
clatters the cages side and calls for the men to continue.]
JP: Both men are out cold. Evans should have
moved quicker!
Sully: This could go to either man!
JP: This is just brutal, do something Fozzy,
stop this crazy match right now!
[The MWF's General Manager watches on as Hart Evans is the first
man to move, he rolls onto his side and the crowd gasp as Evans
coughs up blood....the blood spews onto the ring apron and then Evans
begins to clamber to his feet. Anarkist is still down, the MWF World
Champion is holding his back and has his eyes shut with the pain.
Hart Evans is on his feet and the jeers give Anarkist a sense that
something is wrong, Evans grabs Anarkist's head and drags him back
into the ring.]
Sully: Come on Evans, finish him off...just
strike him down and then get the hell out of the cage.
JP: He should have gone then, he hasn't
finished with Anarkist, he wants to destroy him.
Sully: I hope he does, it is about time the
MWF World Champion got destroyed.
JP: Anarkist! Anarkist! Anarkist!
[The crowd are roaring the name of the MWF World Champion as Hart
Evans looks to irish whip him, but Anarkist keeps hold of "The
Headliner's" arm and Evans comes running into the arm of Anarkist and
is dropped to the mat. Evans immediately attempts to get up but the
large boot of Anarkist stamps on his chest and he screams at Evans to
give in and stop the match....but Evans shakes his head and Anarkist
slams the heel of his boot into the mouth of Hart Evans.]
Sully: The bastard!
JP: I don't think Hart Evans is going to be
smiling for a while Sully.
Sully: Me neither, that was
disgraceful.
[Blood seeps from the mouth of Hart Evans, but Anarkist ignores it
and pulls Hart Evans to his feet. "The Headliner" is sent into the
turnbuckle as Anarkist comes charging after him and the crowd roar as
the huge foot of Anarkist connects with the face of the smaller Hart
Evans. Anarkist turns taunts to the crowd....he then grabs Hart Evans
and hoists him onto his shoulders, sending the crowd wild with
excitement.]
JP: Broken Rule! Broken Rule! Broken
Rule!
Sully: Son of a....
[Anarkist looks for the Broken Rule but to the disappoint of the
crowd then Hart Evans gets out of the position and drops down to low
blow the MWF World Champion....Anarkist clutches his lower
regions..."The Headliner" smiles and the crowd suddenly scream as out
of nowhere Hart Evans executes The Headliner on Anarkist...the MWF
World Champion is out cold as Hart Evans drives him into the canvas
and screams with delight as an unconscious Anarkist is flat out in
the ring.]
JP: Oh my God no!
Sully: The MWF World Champion isn't going to
be one for very long, this could be all over right now folks because
Hart Evans just hit The Headliner on Anarkist.
[Hart Evans slides from the ring and quickly places his hands on
the side of the cage and begins to climb, quickly climbing as fast as
he can.....not stopping or looking back, the cage shakes as he climbs
but he keeps going and going....Chad Pattison watches on as he
reaches the top and he glances back to see the MWF World Champion
still out cold in the ring.]
JP: He's going to do it, I can't believe it,
it just can't be happening, Anarkist can't be knocked out.
Sully: I think you'll find he can....and he
is!
[Hart Evans places one leg over the cage and with a look of
complete satisfaction he places the second leg over and climbs down
the cage to the jeers of the crowd, Rick Jones and Amanda are on the
outside and the three of them embrace as Hart Evans reaches the
bottom. Fozzy roars for the cage to be opened and Chad Pattison
fumbles with the lock as medics wait to get in the ring.]
Peter Santos: And your winner, and through to the final, Hart
Evans!
JP: My God! I didn't believe it could
happen, but God damn it has, Anarkist has been knocked out in the
semi-final by his own countrymen.
Sully: I told you it would happen and you
wouldn't believe me, you are a fool JP.
JP: I didn't think it would end this soon,
poor Anarkist he must be gutted to lose.
Sully: Of course he is, but if he is as good
as you say he is then surely he should have won this match and be in
the final....but now Hart Evans is in the final to represent
Canada.
JP: These Canadian's are everywhere.
Sully: Such a successful race, if they bred
like chinese we'd all be in trouble.
JP: We sure would, I mean Anarkist is
Canadian and look at the talent he has.
Sully: How can you talk about Anarkist as
the finest Canadian when he's not even in the final!
[The "Canadian Connection" walk up the ramp, helping Hart Evans as
he limps heavily...blood trickling from his wounds. Rick Jones looks
back over his shoulder and sees General Manager Fozzy glaring after
him, Rick Jones recieves jeers from the crowd as he gives Fozzy the
finger.]
JP: Just look at that! Look at the
disrespect....how can Hart Evans even be allowed into the tournament
in the first place.
Sully: Because Wildfire decided to go....and
now we're seeing Hart Evans in his rightful place, he's going to be
"The Headliner" tonight at Vacation.
JP: But who will he face, Sam King or The
Jeopardizer? For the sake of the MWF I hope it's "Jay-Z" who makes it
through.
Sully: He'll have to make it through the
brick wall that is Sam King, "The King" hasn't had the best form here
in the MWF at the moment but I bet my bottom dollar he'll have
something up his sleeve to make sure he wins this match
tonight.
JP: We all remember the look on his face
when he was beaten....
Sully: Screwed out of the title at
MAYhem...it was terrible, I could have cried when The Jeopardizer
appeared with that chair.
JP: But that was two months ago, you look at
Sam King's form since then and he sure as hell doesn't look like a
contender to this MWF World Title...I'm not sure why he's even in
this match.
Sully: He's here because he's a top MWF
star, and tonight is a night for stars.
JP: The Jeopardizer has been in great form
and if he can keep that form going tonight then he could become an
MWF World and Xtreme Champion.
Sully: Sam King's not going to let that
happen....
JP: We're going backstage right now to see
The Jeopardizer with Fozzy.
[The camera cuts backstage and we're with The Jeopardizer, he
stands with the MWF's General Manager at his side....he is just
behind the entrance curtain, Ian Gonzales walks up with a mike and
shoves it right in the face of "Jay-Z".]
The Jeopardizer: Ian, do you mind?
Gonzales: Wondering if we could get a few
words?
The Jeopardizer: Can't you see I'm trying to
prepare...
Gonzales: Any words for Sam King?
The Jeopardizer: I am going to let my
wrestling do the talking, the time for words between me and Sam is
finally over and he will realise why we've been kept apart so
long.
Gonzales: Fozz, do you think Jay can do it
tonight?
Fozzy: There's no doubt in my mind that ever
since they formed as a tag team that Jay has been the better wrestler
and he always will be. Sam King is a failure, he had his chance and
he failed miserably and now I have the two best wrestlers in the MWF
under my command and we're going to cement our rule on the
MWF.
Gonzales: What are you going to do if
neither The Jeopardizer or Anarkist get to the final?
Fozzy: You'll just have to wait and
see.
Gonzales: Are you worried about President
Edward Walker? Do you think he has something up his sleeve
tonight?
Fozzy: Do I look like a man who is worried
about another has-been like Walker?
Gonzales: No you both look worriedly
relaxed...
Fozzy: There you go then, now enough of your
interview, it's time for the match to get done and dusted.
[Fozzy grabs Ian Gonzales, and throws him out of the camera shot,
a large 'OW!' resounds as Gonzales crashes into something, Fozzy
turns to The Jeopardizer.]
Fozzy: Ready?
The Jeopardizer: Ready? I've been waiting
months for this day to come round....think I'm going to waste my time
and not be ready, Sam King is going through that bed of nails even if
I have to go into it myself.
Fozzy: Live by the sword, die by the
sword.
The Jeopardizer: That's what they
say.
[The camera is in the arena and the crowd roar with excitement
after seeing The Jeopardizer backstage and hearing what he had to
say.]
JP: That is one prepared wrestler, he's
ready to defeat Sam King tonight....to beat the beast so to
speak.
Sully: Two men have for months now had to
look at each other from a distance, tonight it is all turned on its
head and they battle to what could be the death.
JP: We almost don't need to build-up this
match, it's been coming for so long.
Sully: Just sit back and watch the drama
unfold.
JP: It will be dramatic that's for sure,
with a man like Sam King in the match, he's not called "The
Dramatist" for nothing.
Sully: You know the rules of this match
JP?
JP: It's pretty simple, the first man to
impale his opponent on the bed of nails will be in the final against
Hart Evans for the MWF World Title.
Sully: Always telling his straight, it's
simple then, stick a nail in your opponent's head or any other part
of the body using a move of some force and you've won.
JP: Sounds easy doesn't it?
Sully: I bet it isn't!
