MWF World Heavyweight Championship: "Perfector of Pain" Thunder Bull

versus

Tempest

MWF World Heavyweight Championship Match

Referee: Charles Galliant

Writer: Ed Walker

JP: Welcome back and I hope you're ready, this is going to be a match that you will remember for a long time.

Sully: Thunder Bull will attempt to retain against Tempest, the MWF World Heavyweight Championship a prize so great that men have done the most amazing things to retain it.

JP: Thunder Bull knows as we head towards Vacation that he needs to make sure he sends a positive message out....the sort of message that displays his dominance.

Sully: I think he did that on Dynamite this past Monday, when he absolutely destroyed Tempest.....I believe you called it sick JP?

JP: It was, stunning, shocking and sick that attack on Tempest.

Sully: He had to do it though, Thunder Bull had to attack Tempest and level the playing field.

JP: Thunder Bull has of course already had a match here at March Madness tonight when he went for the MWF Tag Team Championships and that could count against him.

Sully: It all depends how badly Tempest is still injured, I mean we know he can walk and mentally he seems able.

JP: Tempest is unpredictable, one week he will look like he can destroy anyone in his path...while other weeks he looks like he'd struggle to beat Stud.

[The anxious crowd start to cheer as Peter Santos takes a microphone from the time keepers table and walks slowly up the entrance ramp. He acknowledges the crowd with a wave as he pauses before stepping between the ropes and he's inside the ring. Peter Santos raises his arm for a moment of silence from the crowd, they obey the experienced announcer and he bellows around the arena.]

Peter Santos: Ladies and gentlemen, this match is scheduled for one fall and is for the Maximum Wrestling Federation World Heavyweight Championship!

[The crowd explode with cheers at this announcement, and the first "Tempest! Tempest! Tempest!" chant rattles the rafters in London, UK.]

JP: What a commotion! These fans are really showing their support for Tempest here tonight.

Sully: They want to finish this UK tour with a popular victory.

JP: I wonder if this support for Tempest will affect Thunder Bull?

Sully: Something tells me the "Perfector of Pain" will shut these fans up from the start.

[Peter Santos looks around almost in awe at the noise coming from the UK fans, he pauses for a moment before raising his voice and speaking over them....as he does the fans fall silent to listen to him.]

Peter Santos: Introducing first, weighing in at 275 lbs., the leader of "The Kovenant", he is the Maximum Wrestling Federation World Heavyweight Champion, "The Perfector of Pain" Thunder Bull!

["A Place For My Head" by Linkin Park hits the arena PA system and the arena lights dim and a dark purple light appears behind where Thunder Bull walks out onto the entrance way. He wastes no time and the MWF World Heavyweight Champion appears in full view on the entrance way, the MWF World Heavyweight Championship is on his shoulder and he has a bandage strapped tightly around his mid-section. He winces slightly and walks down the entrance ramp.]

JP: That for me says it all, Thunder Bull is strapped up here and it's going to cost him.

Sully: I think it might well have an affect on the match itself, but not the outcome....Thunder Bull is strong enough to make sure he can come away with the MWF World Heavyweight Championship.

JP: As I said earlier, the MWF Television Championship is all that "The Kovenant" could be left with after tonight.

Sully: Sad that is, sad, considering they came here with the chance to win every belt in the MWF....the first time a stable would ever have done that...I don't think "Twisted Vizion" ever did that.

[Thunder Bull, dressed in purple trunks with "PAIN" written on the back of them, reaches the ring and he takes the ring steps...holding his mid-section slightly as he reaches the ring. He ducks between the ropes and enters the ring, he doesn't even look at the crowd as he approaches referee Charles Galliant and passes him the MWF World Heavyweight Championship. The belt is raised up to the crowd, who jeer at the sight of Thunder Bull with the belt.]

JP: The fans showing their clear dislike of Thunder Bull holding the MWF World Heavyweight Championship....I'm not sure how much longer they'd be able to stand being under his so called dominance.

Sully: I'm sure they'd come to terms with it, because Tempest is not going to be their saviour.

JP: Doomsday briefly was, but Thunder Bull has been at the fore front of the MWF World Heavyweight Championship scene for a long time now.

Sully: It's becoming a common sight.

[The fans grow restless as Peter Santos talks to Thunder Bull for a few moments, the MWF World Heavyweight Champion is shaking his head about something and turns away from Peter Santos as the announcer prepares to introduce the challenger.]

Peter Santos: And the challenger, weighing in at 254 lbs., from Boston, Massachussets, Tempest!

["Heart's Filthy Lesson" by David Bowie hits the PA system and the crowd are on their feet as the familiar tones ring out around the arena....they roar as green lighters fade up in the entrance way and through them comes Tempest. He doesn't have any sign of an injury, save for a knee brace on his left knee and he smiles as the fans show him some real compassion. He stands on the entrance way and looks down to where Thunder Bull is standing in the ring, the MWF World Heavyweight Champion has his hands on his hips and he stares straight ahead at where the figure of Tempest can be seen on the entrance way.]

JP: This is the man that can ruin "The Kovenant", everyone else has done their bit but now it all comes down to Tempest....every man in the back apart from Steven Douglas and The Grudge will be watching Tempest and wishing him all the luck in the world.

Sully: "The Kovenant" aren't popular guys, but they know if they have the MWF World Heavyweight Championship in their possession they can do whatever the hell they like.

JP: That's true, at the end of the day if you've got that belt you are the leader of the roster...you are the symbol for the MWF.

Sully: The fans want Tempest to become that symbol, that emblem, but it's not down to them....it is down to how much Tempest wants to be the MWF World Heavyweight Champion.

[Tempest has set off down the entrance ramp, the fans lean over the railing as he does so and pat him on the back...one fan has to be restrained by security as she attempts to jump the barrier and get to the challenger. Tempest smiles as he spots that Thunder Bull's mid-section is all strapped up, Thunder Bull snarls and crouches down ready to attack. Tempest slides under the bottom rope and turns away from Thunder Bull, instead walking to the turnbuckle and climbing up to display himself to the fans. They respond with a huge cheer as he stands on the top of the turnbuckle and spreads his arms out....Thunder Bull looks on.]

JP: This is it then, once the bell sounds we will get ready to see a truly brutal match between these two men.

Sully: I honestly can't see the pace of this match being too special, Thunder Bull is usually pretty agile but with that injury he is carrying....and despite Tempest's apparent match fitness he may well still be suffering from Dynamite.

JP: I think we will see that come into play in the later stages of this match, when the bodies of these man are bruised and battered.

Sully: It's going to be passionate, both these men really want to win and do their best.

[Tempest shakes the hand of referee Charles Galliant, and the crowd roar as after Galliant's quick pad down then Tempest takes his place in the ring opposite the MWF World Heavyweight Champion. Peter Santos exits the ring, he nods to the time keeper and the bell rings out around the arena in London, UK. Thunder Bull smiles and the two men walk slowly towards each other. They stand face to face, Thunder Bull is slightly taller and he tilts down to look Tempest straight in the eye. The two men smile and then a right hand from Tempest to the face of Tempest gets the match under way, the right hands fly as both look for an opening. Thunder Bull's guard is up and strong, but Tempest ducks left and weaving round he sends a clubbed fist into the side of Thunder Bull's head. The MWF World Heavyweight Champion is knocked side ways by the force of the blow, Tempest follows up with a kick to the knee of Thunder Bull and the leader of "The Kovenant" is down on his knees.]

JP: Tempest starting off in the right fashion, he's got to make sure he lands those punches and kicks....really using this advantage he has of being fresher than Thunder Bull.

Sully: It's interesting that Thunder Bull hasn't brought a single member of "The Kovenant" down to the ring with him.

JP: Obviously wants to do this alone, but we all know that "The Kovenant" want to keep hold of the belt no matter what.

Sully: They certainly will.

[Thunder Bull is on his knees and Tempest runs to the ropes, the MWF World Heavyweight Champion is attempting to stand but a clothesline from Tempest has him crashing down onto the canvas. The fans roar as Tempest stands over the fallen Thunder Bull, Tempest leans down and picks Thunder Bull up and sends him running into the ropes....as Thunder Bull comes back Tempest crouches down. But Thunder Bull is wise to this and a knee to the face has the momentum change sides. Thunder Bull grabs Tempest who has staggered back after the force of the blow and executes a double knee face buster! The crowd jeer as the face of Tempest is slammed into the knees of Thunder Bull.]

JP: Tempest was unable to make that early momentum count and now Thunder Bull is ready to turn this match around.

Sully: I think we're going to see a reasonably slow technical match tonight, this won't be the fast paced action we're used to.

JP: The fans are still gripped by it, both these men are really at the top of their game right now.

Sully: They really are, neither man is willing to give away anything in the fight for the MWF World Heavyweight Championship.

[Tempest is on the mat and Thunder Bull drops down and covers ...1....2! The two count is only just reaches as Tempest rolls the shoulder and Thunder Bull grabs Tempest and brings him back up to a standing position. A headlock is in place and the crowd jeer as Thunder Bull keeps Tempest in position and pushes Tempest down for greater leverage. The fans chant for Tempest as he is kept in this hold for quite some time, his arm flailing as he attempts to gain a grip and force himself out of the move. Eventually Thunder Bull releases the hold and looks to whip Tempest into the ropes....but Tempest counters and it is Thunder Bull who goes into the ropes. The crowd cheer as Thunder Bull comes back off the ropes and this time it is Tempest who succeeds and he sends Thunder Bull over in a big back body drop. Thunder Bull flips through the air and slams into the canvas, he arches his back in pain as Tempest walks over.]

JP: Great move by Tempest there and he knows he's back in control of this match now.

Sully: He certainly is, Thunder Bull seems to be struggling a bit after the exertion of the tag team match.

JP: Tempest is really pushing ahead, ouch, that must of hurt...

[Tempest has walked round to where Thunder Bull is down and he brings his boot down in a stomp to the mid-section of Thunder Bull that is heavily strapped up. The MWF World Heavyweight Champion cries out with pain and rolls away from Tempest, but the former MWF Xtreme and Tag Team Champion comes after Thunder Bull and boots him in the back! Thunder Bull roars with pain as Tempest really puts the boot in, the crowd cheering him on in this violent attack. Tempest leans down and grabs Thunder Bull by his long hair....he pulls him up and executes a suplex. Thunder Bull is laid out and Tempest hooks the leg ...1....2! The MWF World Heavyweight Champion manages to kick out and the crowd jeer loudly at the outcome of the pin fall attempt. Tempest just smiles and looks to get Thunder Bull back to his feet.]

JP: Tempest is wrestling well tonight, he has that fire in his eyes and it could be that which lets him defeat Thunder Bull.

Sully: I personally feel it would be a shock outcome if Tempest became the MWF World Heavyweight Champion.

JP: Do you really think he has what it takes to do it?

Sully: I just don't think he's a wrestler that is suited to such a position of power...he'd go mad.

JP: Mad?

Sully: Yeah....the man is a power freak, a controller, and with the MWF World Heavyweight Championship in his posession he'd become quite dangerous.

[Thunder Bull is on his feet and is sent running into the turnbuckle, the crowd roar as he hits the turnbuckle with a thud and turns himself round...clutching his mid-section. The crowd cheer as Tempest charges at Thunder Bull, looking to spear the injured mid-section. Tempest runs face first into the turnbuckle, as Thunder Bull manages to get out of the way and he quickly gets behind Tempest and the fans jeer as he executes a high angle back drop. This has Tempest flat out on his back and the crowd jeer as Thunder Bull gets to his feet and spots an opportunity.]

JP: This could be it! The match could be over right here if Thunder Bull can execute the Impulse.

Sully: Tempest's dream is about to be shattered, Thunder Bull will retain the MWF World Heavyweight Championship at March Madness.

JP: The Impulse is such a powerful move, if Tempest gets hit with this then he's really going to feel it.

Sully: Both men are already showing signs of tiredness, particularly Thunder Bull. He's dragging his feet a bit.

[Thunder Bull walks over to the turnbuckle, he begins to climb it....he makes his way to the second rope, and then up onto the top rope. He turns round on the peak of the turnbuckle and looks down to where Tempest is laid out, not showing any sign of movement. Charles Galliant is getting out of the way as Thunder Bull makes the signal for The Impulse. "The Perfector of Pain" leaps off the turnbuckle and the fans jeer loudly as he comes crashing down....onto the canvas! The fans go wild as Thunder Bull slams hard onto the canvas, landing majorly onto his mid-section....he cries out with pain and holds the bandaged area as Tempest stays down a few feet away, panting heavily.]

JP: Tempest rolled out of the way of The Impulse...

Sully: ....just when you think this match was closed off and there was nothing left to come then Tempest throws it wide open.

JP: Thunder Bull took the risk on the top rope and I think he might pay for it here.

Sully: It depends if Tempest can get his body moving and get up there.

[Tempest reaches over and grabs the ropes, the fans roar him on as he staggers to his feet. He holds the knee that is supported by a knee brace and walks over to where Thunder Bull is laid out. The MWF World Heavyweight Champion is helpless as Tempest slowly pulls him to his feet, he has Thunder Bull by the hair and the crowd roar as he dis-respects the MWF World Heavyweight Champion and hits him with a hair toss. This sends Thunder Bull rolling over to the other side of the ring and Tempest staggers over after him.]

JP: Tempest just showed Thunder Bull up there and something tells me "The Perfector of Pain" is not going to be too pleased about that.

Sully: I doubt he will be! He just got hair tossed!

JP: We must point out that is an advantage Tempest does have...he has significantly less hair than Thunder Bull.

Sully: True, true....but Tempest needs to be hitting the big moves if he wants to win this match.

[Tempest leans down and scoops Thunder Bull up, he has him grappled and the crowd cheer and know what is coming next. Tempest puts the head of Thunder Bull between his arm and side, he shouts something out to the crowd which is inaudible as he leaps back and hits the EpiCentre! As he does the move, Charles Galliant gets in the way and Tempest catches him with his elbow. The crowd gasp as Thunder Bull is driven hard into the canvas, but also Charles Galliant crashes to the mat holding his head.]

JP: The referee is down, Tempest what have you done?

Sully: He's just plotted his own downfall....he's knocked out the man who can help him win the MWF World Heavyweight Championship.

JP: That trailing elbow was too much for Galliant, he's not as conditioned as these guys and that really must of hurt.

Sully: Galliant's down...and here comes the inevitable...

[Jeers ring out around the arena as from the back comes The Grudge, the former MWF Xtreme Champion has a bandage around his head that is soaked in blood. He comes marching down the entrance ramp, Tempest leans down and attends to Charles Galliant....attempting to bring him round. The Grudge is striding down the entrance ramp, his chest still covered in dried blood from the earlier encounter with Leandro.]

JP: The Grudge is attempting to shatter Tempest's dream, last Dynamite he was screwed over by "The Kovenant" and at March Madness it is going to be exactly the same.

Sully: This is what happens when you go it alone against such a dominant force.

JP: They're not dominant, they just cheat!

Sully: Here comes The Grudge.

[Tempest doesn't realise the threat that is coming towards him, and the fans shout warnings but he doesn't heed them. Tempest carefully slaps Galliant across the cheek, but the referee doesn't respond....as The Grudge slides under the ropes...the motion of it alerts Tempest to some presence. He turns round, but it's all too late as the boot of The Grudge comes down into his face. Tempest falls backwards and attempts to get out of the ring...but The Grudge leans down and grabs him. The crowd boo as The Grudge kicks Tempest in the lower regions, reducing the challenger for the MWF World Heavyweight Championship to a crumpled heap. The Grudge laughs and pulls Tempest back up to his feet.]

JP: That was just viscous on the part of The Grudge...

Sully: ...it looked painful.

JP: Tempest is going to have to fight his way out of a corner.

Sully: He's had it.

[The Grudge grabs Tempest and the crowd gasp as he executes The Grudge Ender! Tempest goes down with a thud and The Grudge laughs, he grabs Thunder Bull and pulls him to his feet. The MWF World Heavyweight Champion is helped by The Grudge over to where Tempest is and he groggily collapses on top of Tempest. Charles Galliant is coming around and The Grudge makes a quick exit....he hides down behind the ring apron and the arena is filled with the jeers of the crowd. Charles Galliant holds his head and makes the count ...1...2...3! The crowd burst into jeers and boos as Thunder Bull is re-crowned the MWF World Heavyweight Champion.]

JP: That is not right....not right at all.

Sully: Tempest has been destroyed, "The Kovenant" keep the MWF World Heavyweight Championship in their grasp.

JP: Brutal, brutal, match....technical and brutal wrestling.

Sully: The numbers factor once again defeated Tempest and he won't be looking forward to tomorrow one bit.

Peter Santos: And your winner, through pin fall, and still the Maximum Wrestling Federation World Heavyweight Champion, Thunder Bull!

[The leader of "The Kovenant" is helped to his feet by Charles Galliant, and The Grudge slides into the ring and he grabs Thunder Bull's arm and raises it to the jeering fans. Tempest stays down on the canvas, and Thunder Bull turns back to where his opponent is laid out. He walks over slowly and the crowd fear what will happen.]

JP: I don't like the look of this, we saw what Thunder Bull did on Dynamite when tthe match was over...

Sully: ....I think he just wants to make sure that Tempest never challenges him again for the MWF World Heavyweight Championship.

JP: I don't think this feud is over just yet, Tempest won't let this go.

Sully: He should do.

[Thunder Bull leans down and grabs Tempest and hauls him to his feet, Tempest is attempting to focus as Thunder Bull stares at him. Tempest is able to stand by himself and he stands opposite the MWF World Heavyweight Champion, and Thunder Bull smirks, he grabs Tempest's hand and shakes it. The fans begin to cheer at this gesture, and Tempest smiles, he shakes the hand of Thunder Bull.]

JP: Would you look at that?

Sully: I didn't see that coming, these two men acknowledging what a great match that was.

JP: Oh...

[Thunder Bull stops shaking the hand of Tempest and the crowds cheers turn to jeers as the MWF World Heavyweight Champion slams his fist into the face of Tempest.....who staggers back and Thunder Bull runs forward and sends a large boot into the face of Tempest. He falls to the mat and Thunder Bull, with the MWF World Heavyweight Championship on his shoulder, stands with one foot on Tempest's chest posing for the fans.]

JP: He's retained the MWF World Heavyweight Championship and we're running out of time here on March Madness.

Sully: It's be an amazing night, we've seen "The Kovenant" perhaps lose a bit of dominance but Thunder Bull remains at the top of the MWF tree.

JP: Leandro and Steven Douglas remain at loggerheads and the MWF Tag Team Championship ladder match will be remembered for a long time.

Sully: Thanks for watching and we will see you tomorrow night on Monday Night Dynamite to see if Tempest can pick himself up and take on "Kronik" in a handicap match.

JP: He's going to be hurting in the morning...

Sully: ....I should think he'll be hurting now. Goodnight folks...

JP: ....take care!
