MWF World Champion: "The Hardcore Icon" NomaD
versus
Anarkist
MWF World Champion
Referee: Charles Galliant
Writer: Ed Walker
[The crowd are in their seats, ten thousand people knackered from
the five matches before hand. A team of officials are in the ring,
sweeping up the mess and blood from the last match. A set of balloons
are cleared out after Scotty Heart's farewell celebration. We join
our commentators JP and Sully at the commentators table, Sully is
wearing his official MAYhem shirt and he smiles as the camera does a
close up of the MAYhem logo on his shirt pocket.]
Sully: That's right folks, we're at MAYhem
and London, England has already seen five incredible matches
tonight.
JP: It is nights like this that make you
glad to be in professional wrestling, I can't wait to see whether
NomaD can fend off the charge of Anarkist.
Sully: The MWF World Championship has twice
been around the waist of Anarkist and now he has the chance to expand
his legacy....setting a goal that will be hard for any man to
follow.
JP: Ross Allen, formerly the MWF's greatest
wrestler has held the MWF World Championship twice....tonight there
is the chance for Anarkist to surpass that record.
Sully: MAYhem is all about records, these
ten thousand plus people here tonight are setting records...
JP: ...it's the highest attendance at the
MWF's pay-per-view and for that we salute this British crowd, we've
been touring the UK for the past month and it's been a great welcome
wherever we've been.
Sully: I've had some of the best food ever
on tour, it's been fabulous.
JP: Tonight has been a night of legends,
Scotty Heart retiring from MWF action after an incredible match with
Troy Knight who showed us that despite all his personal problems he
is still the same amazing talent that started life all those months
ago in the MWF.
Sully: It's almost a year now...since
Anarkist first won the MWF World Championship and what an emotional
night that was.
JP: Sam King was the man who stood in his
way that time, it always seems to be that Anarkist comes to MAYhem
without the MWF World Championship.
Sully: He battled through Madness, defeating
Insane Wayne and Sean Harley in one go to get here and tonight is the
culmination of his march through Dynamite main events to be here
tonight.
JP: He's beaten a lot of men to be here
tonight, NomaD has been out of action for a while but he's still a
very dangerous wrestler....I would never take NomaD out of an
equation, there has been too much talk about Anarkist tonight.
Sully: It's his night, that's why...he's
going to show tonight why he is without a doubt one of the best
wrestlers that the MWF has produced in its history and the legend of
men like Ross Allen and Sam King will be banished to the back of the
fans minds.
JP: General Manager Fozzy was the man that
many people felt was responsible for the rise of Anarkist and the two
men ended up joining forces against Walker back in the day....but
Fozzy no longer remains, it is just Anarkist left and NomaD is aware
that there is no weak point anymore.
Sully: Unless NomaD can find a way to reach
Anarkist's wife and child there is no weak point, and NomaD might be
slightly mad but he would not cross Anarkist's family.
JP: NomaD has a family of his own and that
is something you learn to respect, you touch another man's wife or
child and you'll be crossing a line that you can't step back
from.
Sully: Laura Walker has been involved in the
MWF of course, but only for a short period before she fell pregnant
and a young Anarkist was born.
JP: They say he has the eyes of his father,
but the face of his mother....he's a very pretty young lad.
Sully: You're making him sound like Troy
Knight...
[The clean up crew in the ring begin to clear away and the crowd
cheer as the lights in the entrance way flicker and Peter Santos
begins to make his way into the centre of the ring.]
Peter Santos: Ladies and gentlemen, this match is for the
Maximum Wrestling Federation World Heavyweight Championship and is
scheduled for one fall!
[A huge cheer goes up from the crowd as Santos announces the match
type and the fact that the MWF World Championship will be on the
line. The camera focus' on a banner that reads "NomaD is my insane
hero!".]
JP: That banner might be true, but he'll
need to be a hero tonight.
Sully: He'll need to be a superhero, if I
was NomaD I'd be really worried because Anarkist is just itching to
beat the hell out of him.
JP: Anarkist has been on the winning trail
and it could all end in a result here tonight...
Sully: There will be a result and I don't
think NomaD will like it too much!
[The arena lights begin to fade and the crowd explode even before
Peter Santos can raise the mic to his lips, he looks around at ten
thousand cheering fans....eventually Santos bellows over them.]
Peter Santos: Introducing first, weighing in at 230 lbs., from
Brooklyn, New York, he is the MWF World Heavyweight Champion, "The
Hardcore Icon" NomaD!
[Devildriver's "I Could Care Less" hits the PA system and the
crowd are on their feet applauding and chanting as the arena lights
flicker red....the MaxiTron flickers to show NomaD's past glories and
eventually he walks out through a puff of red smoke that hides him
for a second before his figure becomes clearer. NomaD hoists the MWF
World Championship onto his shoulder, and smiles at the roaring
crowd....he punches the air with his fist and as he does a display of
red fireworks comes crashing down behind him.]
JP: What an entrance! The MWF World Champion
is making his presence known at MAYhem....
Sully: ...it's not going to scare Anarkist
one bit, for a start Anarkist is almost a foot taller than
NomaD.
JP: The future of NomaD is hanging in the
balance, tonight he can prove why he is the MWF World Champion by
putting on a display that will silence critics.
Sully: I'm openly a critic of the MWF World
Champion, he's a lucky man to hold the belt, I thought Anarkist would
win it before MAYhem.
JP: The stipulation was that Anarkist could
win at Madness and then wait until MAYhem for his chance...he's done
just that, he's been watching from the shadows.
Sully: NomaD has been watching from the
shadows as well, he's not a fighting champion despite his past record
with the MWF Xtreme Championship.
[NomaD has reached the bottom of the entrance ramp, he quickens
his stride and slides under the bottom rope...the crowd roar as he
leaps to his feet and runs to the turnbuckle. Leaping up onto the
turnbuckle evokes a mass flash of camera bulbs as NomaD poses with
the MWF World Championship, he drops down as his music begins to
fade.
Peter Santos: And the opponent....weighing in at 313 lbs., from
Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Anarkist!
[There is a blanket of darkness that covers the London arena, the
sound of "Papercut" by Linkin Park begins to play over the PA system
and upon the splintering sound of a guitar riff white fireworks and
pryo explodes from the entrance way. The dazzling flash blinds the
fans and many can be seen covering their ears as the music grows
louder and out through a thick wall of smoke walks the former two
time MWF World Champion, Anarkist.]
JP: There he is....
Sully: ....this man has done it twice
before, the first time he ever became the MWF World Champion was
right here at MAYhem last year.
JP: It could happen once again, but NomaD
will not be a pushover, he's battled Anarkist before and he knows how
the man works.
Sully: NomaD has been in the MWF a long long
time, he's seen more wrestlers come and go than I've seen
women.
JP: Yeah right.....just look at the eyes of
Anarkist.
Sully: Intensity, that\s what Anarkist is
about.
[The eyes of Anarkist are fixed upon the ring and NomaD as he
walks down the entrance ramp, he ignores the mass jeering of the fans
as he approaches the ring. NomaD stays quiet, staring down at his MWF
World Championship that he passes over to Charles Galliant, with a
small smile on his face the MWF World Champion turns and looks at the
approaching Anarkist. Their gaze meets and as it does Anarkist begins
to quicken his stride, NomaD backs off slightly...moving to the far
side of the ring as Anarkist climbs up onto the ring apron and clears
the top rope with one large stride.]
JP: This will be a massive test for NomaD,
he's not been inside the ring for a while and it could really
show.
Sully: He wrestled a tag team match the
other week....
JP: ...apart from that the MWF World
Champion has been enjoying the champions lifestyle, although I
suspect he is still harbouring a few of those strange mental
problems.
Sully: He'll always have those, they don't
just disappear!
[Anarkist is inside the squared circle and he gives NomaD a long
hard look, piercing his gaze right into the eyes of NomaD and the
crowd jeer loudly. The MWF World Champion returns the gaze, but turns
away as Charles Galliant checks him for any weapons. Galliant does
the same as he walks over to Anarkist, who looks down with an almost
pitiful gaze onto the MWF's head referee. Anarkist smiles and pushes
Charles Galliant away, turning and taunting to the crowd as the bell
sounds and NomaD explodes out of the blocks. The crowd roar
encouragement as NomaD takes advantage of Anarkist's back being
turned as he charges and dropkicks Anarkist in the back....the former
two time MWF World Champion is taken completely by surprise. Anarkist
falls forward, clutching the ropes for support as NomaD brings his
knee up into the chest of Anarkist.]
JP: What a start! NomaD is off to a flyer,
he's not hanging around to taunt the fans he just wants to defend his
MWF World Championship.
Sully: Anarkist was completely unsuspecting,
I don't know why he'd make such a rookie mistake...he's a two time
MWF World Champion!
JP: We all know that, he says it
enough.
Sully: NomaD battling hard here...he's got
Anarkist into the corner.
[NomaD has forced Anarkist back into the turnbuckle and the crowd
cheer as a knife edge chop sends the familiar sound of skin on skin
round the arena. NomaD screams with delight as he smacks another
knife edge across Anarkist's chest....the skin is redening as NomaD
looks for another chop. His hand strikes the chest of Anarkist,
drawing a small amount of blood....but the roar from Anarkist sends
NomaD flying to the mat as Anarkist comes charging forward and decks
NomaD with a short arm clothesline. Anarkist shouts at NomaD to get
up....the MWF World Champion gets up rubbing his head and the crowd
explode with anger as Anarkist lands a massive boot to the face that
knocks NomaD back down to the mat. Anarkist turns and taunts to the
fans, raising his arms and shouting abuse at them.]
JP: The man is a sheer wall of
muscle....
Sully: ...a monster, I don't know how NomaD
can even think he's going to be able to beat him.
JP: It's a long hard road for NomaD, he
can't give up...he started well but the power of Anarkist is
incredible, twice already he's almost taken the head of Anarkist
straight off.
Sully: Incredible, that's the word I'd use
to describe Anarkist's wrestling style.
[Anarkist gives a cocky smile as he pulls NomaD back to his feet,
an irish whip sends NomaD into the ropes...he comes running back and
Anarkist slams his hand around the throat of NomaD. The crowd scream
as they know what is coming, Anarkist hoists up NomaD with one hand
and "The Hardcore Icon" is sent crashing to the mat with a gigantic
chokeslam.....Anarkist drops down and covers NomaD.....1......2!
NomaD breaks out after two, panting heavily he rolls onto his side
and Anarkist stands and brings his foot down into NomaD's back. The
MWF World Champion rolls away, clutching his back. Anarkist snarls
and walks after the MWF World Champion, NomaD grabs the ropes and
begins to pull himself up. He is on his knees when the hand of
Anarkist grabs him by his dyed red hair and a back waistlock has
NomaD trapped.]
JP: This is just simply dominating, NomaD
isn't standing a chance against Anarkist at the moment...he'd better
start thinking of a get out plan or he's going to be sunk.
Sully: There isn't much you can do against
Anarkist, maybe go for his legs but even those are made like steel
poles.
JP: There isn't a weak spot in the armour of
Anarkist, even his speed isn't that bad for a big man.
Sully: NomaD just needs a bit of
luck....
[NomaD's luck appears to have run out as a german suplex sends him
hurtling back over Anarkist's head and crashing onto the canvas.
Anarkist picks himself up but leaves NomaD down, Charles Galliant
looks worriedly at the MWF World Champion as Anarkist parades around
the ring, pointing to himself and shouting out declarations of his
greatness. NomaD is attempting to pick himself up...he is almost at a
standing position when Anarkist comes back and a knee lands itself
straight in the face of NomaD. "The Hardcore Icon" is about to
collapse to the canvas but Anarkist grabs him and lifts him up above
his shoulders....the military press position has NomaD held at least
eight feet in the air.]
JP: Helpless...absolutly helpless, NomaD is
stranded like a little baby up there.
Sully: What goes up...
JP: ....must comes down!
[The crowd gasp as NomaD is sent crashing to the outside of the
ring, Anarkist hurling NomaD clean over the top rope and the MWF
World Champion is a heap on the concrete floor outside. Anarkist
roars at NomaD's crumpled body...and the crowd boo and jeer at
Anarkist and he looks supremely confident.]
Sully: I don't think NomaD's going to be
standing for a while, even if he were to win this match he'd need a
few weeks off to recover from the beating he's taking.
JP: NomaD isn't even in this match, Anarkist
is just dominating the proceedings....
Sully: .....it's what I expected, the size
and weight difference really shows in situations like this.
[Anarkist takes a step over the top rope and drops down to the
outside where NomaD still isn't moving...Anarkist walks over and
grabs the ring steps. Charles Galliant shouts at Anarkist to get back
in the ring and starts the count, ......1..........Anarkist walks
over and picks up the ring steps, he takes over to where NomaD is
laying, Galliant is roaring at Anarkist to get back in the ring but
the two time former MWF World Champion takes the ring steps and drops
them down onto the back of NomaD. The MWF World Champion is brought
back to life with a jolt as the steel steps thud into his back, he
screams with pain and throws the steps off his back. Anarkist laughs
as Galliant reaches.........2........Anarkist grabs NomaD by the hair
and slings him up onto his feet...Anarkist locks his arms around the
side of NomaD and the crowd jeeer as NomaD is side russian leg swept
onto the ring steps! There is the sound of bone on steel as NomaD
hits the steps and Anarkist rolls away........3........]
JP: Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! That must of
hurt....
Sully: ....NomaD's just been slammed onto
those ring steps.
JP: Surely it's a
disqualification....although they are on the outside and this is the
MWF.
Sully: Anarkist is simply taking NomaD to
the maximum....I just don't think NomaD wants to go with him.
[Anarkist walks away from NomaD, he almost seems to shake his head
as he stares at the crowd.........4.........NomaD is pulled off the
floor by Anarkist and the crowd jeer as Anarkist tosses NomaD back
into the ring, he steps up onto the ring apron and ducks between the
ropes, Charles Galliant signals for the count to stop. NomaD is back
on his feet and the crowd roar as he lands a punch at the rising
Anarkist who has just ducked between the ropes, the fist comes down
onto the face of Anarkist who is taken aback with the force of the
blow. NomaD follows it up with a massive DDT, but it knocks him down
at the same time and both men end up on the mat. Charles Galliant
looks at the downed pairing and raises his arms to signal a count,
the crowd chant with him as he
counts......1........2.........3..........4........Anarkist begins to
move, the lack of offense against him is showing as he begins to push
himself up..........5............Galliant stops the count as Anarkist
is almost on his feet again.]
JP: There is no keeping Anarkist down, he's
not going to stay down on the mat for longer than he has to.
Sully: NomaD's spent more time on the mat in
this match than in his entire career...
JP: ....probably, he has been dominated, and
just when you think there was a chance of a comeback Anarkist goes a
squashes it completely.
Sully: If I was NomaD I'd be running scared,
I'd forget about the MWF World Championship and focus on getting out
of here alive.
JP: Perhaps NomaD needs to remember that the
MWF World Championship is on the line and it might just inspire him
to fight on.
Sully: He can't have forgotten about the MWF
World Championship, it is not a belt you forget about in a
hurry....
[Anarkist is back on his feet, NomaD stays down on the canvas as
Anarkist parades around, showboating to the crowd who boo loudly.
Anarkist grabs NomaD and slowly pulls him back up to a standing
position, NomaD's legs are swaying as he attempts to stand and
Anarkist hoists him up and brings him down with a backbreaker.
Instead of releasing him Anarkist causes the crowd to jeer as he
holds NomaD in place and executes a second backbreaker, the crowd
jeer even louder as Anarkist hits yet another backbreaker....NomaD's
back is arched in an unshapely manner.]
JP: A triple backbreaker, NomaD is enduring
one hell of a beating tonight!
Sully: That's some power from Anarkist, he's
determined to beat a lesson into NomaD for disrespecting the MWF
World Championship.
JP: Disrespecting?
Sully: The MWF World Championship is a
symbol that should be displayed to the masses, week in, week out and
NomaD has not been doing that.
[NomaD is tossed down to the mat by Anarkist and he covers, a
relaxed cover as Charles Galliant counts.....1.....2...! NomaD
manages to roll the shoulder to the cheers of the crowd, Anarkist
looks a little surprised at NomaD's resiliance and he grabs NomaD's
hair and yanks him to his feet. The crowd jeer as the knee of
Anarkist is implanted into the groin of "The Hardcore Icon"....an
irish whip sends NomaD into the ropes and he comes running back into
a massive spinebuster from the two time MWF World Champion. NomaD's
back is again the subject of abuse as he hits the canvas and cries
out with pain...Anarkist just stands over him, looking down with a
pitiful gaze.]
JP: What a spinebuster! I think the entire
ring has just been shaken!
Sully: Hey.....is that who I think it
is?
JP: Where?
Sully: There!
JP: Where?
Sully: On the entrance way!
[The crowd are beginning to turn, and eventually ten thousand
people stare at the entrance way where Laura Walker, the wife of
Anarkist and daughter of the MWF President Edward Walker, is standing
with a steel chair in her hands. Anarkist looks up...his eyes blazing
as he spots his wife walking down the entrance ramp, a wild panic
grips his face.]
JP: What the hell is Laura Walker doing out
here? She can't possibly be getting involved in this match....
Sully: ...I think she's just come to make
sure that her husband gets what he deserves.
JP: A good slap is what he deserves, NomaD
when he wakes up is not going to like the look of this one
bit.
Sully: NomaD must be praying for a bit of
"Twisted Vizion" right about now....
[Laura Walker is nearing the ring, the chair swinging in her hands
like a rod of power. Anarkist steps back and calls for a mic, his
wife climbs up the ring steps and smiles sweetly to her husband and
she steps carefully over the fallen NomaD. The crowd are jeering as
she raises the steel chair above NomaD, and brings it down to within
an inch of his back....she stops just as the chair is about to make
impact.]
JP: What the....
Sully: ....I don't like it, I don't like it
one bit.
JP: Anarkist will want her to do some
explaining, he must of been expecting her to hit NomaD with that
steel chair.
Sully: He didn't set this up, I can tell, he
does not expect his wife to be out here tonight.
[The MWF World Champion is down as his challenger has a mic in his
hand and he looks at his wife with a look of disbelief.]
Anarkist: Honey....what exactly are you
doing out here?
Laura Walker: Watching my husband do what he
does best, destroy pathetic creatures like NomaD so he can become the
MWF World Champion that he craves to be.
Anarkist: I thought I told you not to come
down here.
Laura Walker: Why not? I've lived around
wrestling all my life....my father....
Anarkist: ...must you say his name!
Laura Walker: Yes Stef....
[The crowd gasp as Laura calls Anarkist by his christian
name....Anarkist glares at his wife, a look of true anger in his
eyes. Anarkist drops the mic, grabs the chair from his wife's grasp
and drops it on the mat. He takes NomaD and hoists him up onto his
shoulders, he roars at his wife to move out of the way and Laura
Walker jumps back as Anarkist executes a violent version of the
Broken Rule. The crowd scream as NomaD is brought down, with
incredible force, onto the steel chair. Anarkist covers and the crowd
jeer as Charles Galliant counts.....1......2......3! The crowd pop
with boos as Anarkist slowly stands, his eyes glowing as he raises
his arms and roars at the crowd, Laura Walker grabs the mike.]
Laura Walker: And your winner, through
pinfall, the new Maximum Wrestling Federation World Heavyweight
Champion, Anarkist!
[The MWF World Heavyweight Championship is brought into the ring
and Anarkist eyes it hungrily, reaching out for it as Charles
Galliant slowly places it into the hands of Anarkist. The former two
time MWF World Heavyweight Champion, now triple time MWF World
Heavyweight Champion sinks down to his knees, the MWF World
Heavyweight Championship clutched to his chest. His wife stands over
him, she squats down next to him, the mic in her hands.]
Laura Walker: I'm so proud of you...
[Anarkist turns his face and looks at his wife, tears are forming
in his eyes as he looks at the MWF World Heavyweight Championship,
the mic is near enough to him to hear him speak.]
Anarkist: Where is our son?
Laura Walker: He's in safe hands...
[Laura puts her arm around Anarkist and turns him, Anarkist looks
up at the MaxiTron that flickers up to show the MWF Commissioner
Insane Wayne. The crowd are as confused as the MWF World Heavyweight
Champion....the MWF Commissioner is smiling and the camera pans out
slightly to reveal that Walker is standing just behind the entrance
curtain, the son of Anarkist and Laura Walker, the MWF President's
grandson in his arms. Anarkist's jaw drops and he turns to his wife
and grabs the mic from her.]
Anarkist: What the hell is our son doing in
the arms of Wayne?
Laura Walker: Calm down honey...
Anarkist: ....I WILL NOT CALM DOWN!
[Suddenly "My Sacrifice" by Creed hits the PA system and the crowd
roar as the MWF Commissioner walks out onto the entrance way. The son
is now removed from his arms, he walks out, dressed in a smart navy
blue suit, his hair slicked back. He raises his hand for silent and
the crowd obey, eager to understand the situation. Wayne walks as he
talks, heading down the entrance ramp towards the ring.]
Commissioner Wayne: It's been an interesting
night here in London, England....
[There is no cheap pop, just deadly silence as the crowd watch
Commissioner Wayne's every move.]
Anarkist: WAYNE! Why were you holding my
child?
Commissioner Wayne: Your child? Isn't it a
team effort Anarkist....it is not just your son.
Anarkist: What the hell do you mean?
Commissioner Wayne: Laura is the one who
cares for him, feeds him, changes him....she does everything your son
could ever need.
Anarkist: I thought she was in the
States...not here.
Commissioner Wayne: She was flown over a few
days ago...
Anarkist: ....by who?
[The MWF Commissioner just smiles, Anarkist looks
horrified....Commissioner Wayne has reached the ring and he steps up
between the ropes. He stands up, a few feet away from Anarkist,
showing no intemidation of the MWF World Heavyweight Champion.]
Commissioner Wayne: Laura...
[An almighty roar go up from the crowd as Laura Walker brings a
steel chair down onto the back of her husbands head. Anarkist
staggers forward, his eyes wide as he looks up at the MWF
Commissioner who just smiles, a sick smile of jubilation as Anarkist
falls forward, almost on his knees. Anarkist turns his head to look
at his wife as she raises the chair....and brings it down across the
face of Anarkist sending him out like a light. Laura slowly treads
over her husband, placing the MWF World Heavyweight Championship on
her husbands outstretched hand before linking arms with the MWF
Commissioner and turning to leave the ring.]
JP: I'm stunned....truly....
Sully: ....Anarkist's wife has turned his
back on him, he's won the MWF World Heavyweight Championship but in
doing so he's lost his wife.
JP: Why would she do such a thing?
Sully: It's Wayne, he's played such mind
games!
JP: I wonder if Walker knows about
this...
Sully: ....oh I'm sure he knows all about
it.
[Commissioner Wayne and Laura Walker walk up the entrance ramp,
looking very pleased with themselves. Anarkist and NomaD are down in
the ring, the MWF World Heavyweight Championship glinting as the
camera begins to fade in around it.]
JP: We're going to draw to a close here on
MAYhem and what a night it has been.....we've seen a new MWF World
Heavyweight Champion crowned...
Sully: ....he may have won the battle but
"Twisted Vizion" have just started an entire no war, these guys will
just not go away!
JP: Can you blame them? They've been the
most powerful stable in the history of the MWF and they are not going
to give up hope of capturing the MWF World Heavyweight Championship
again.
Sully: What they've done is just plain
wrong, Anarkist will not take this....
[JP is about to speak but it's cut off as the camera cuts from the
noise and utter hysterics of the arena to the quiet atmosphere of the
MWF President's office. Edward Walker is sitting, on a wooden stool,
in front of a small television....his hands are propped under his
chin, his arms stretched down to lean on his knees. His greying hair
is pushed to on side, he speaks without facing the camera.]
Walker: After everything you did to me
Anarkist, I'm finally....taking back what's mine.
[The screen flickers out without a moment's hesitation and we
leave with images of MAYhem being played back across the screen.]
