MWF Tag Team Champion: "Hardcore Living Legend"
Insane Wayne
versus
MWF World Champion: "The Ruthless Rookie" Kidd Kidman
Non-Title Match
Referee: Charles Galliant
[The crowd go wild as the lights in the arena flash on and off and
Peter Santos stands in the middle of the ring, he raises the mike to
his lips.]
Peter Santos: The final match tonight is scheduled for one fall
and is a non-title match.
[The crowd cheer Santos as he steps back out of the centre of the
ring, electing to stand nearer one of the turnbuckles instead.]
JP: Santos making his point and an important
one, this match is a non-title match up between Insane Wayne and Kidd
Kidman.
Sully: Wayne must be gutted, he probably
thought Walker was going to grant him a World Championship
shot.
JP: Walker's cleverer than that, he knows
both Insane Wayne and Iniquity both want the chance at the MWF World
Championship...and he isn't going to let them get it without a
fight.
Sully: A big test for Kidman, he'll be
wanting to prove he didn't just win the MWF World Championship out of
fluke as many have been claiming.
JP: How can people say that? He put in a
career defining performance and yet people still question his
ability.
Sully: Mind you Anarkist had his ability
questioned constantly even though he proved he was the best MWF World
Champion in history.
JP: It wasn't his ability people questioned
it was his level of sanity!
Sully: I still can't believe he's gone, the
MWF just isn't the same without him.
[The arena crowd quieten down as Peter Santos steps back into the
centre of the ring to announce the two wrestlers competing.]
Peter Santos: Please welcome first, weighing in at 275 lbs.,
from The Miserys, Florida and one half of the MWF Tag Team Champions,
"Hardcore Living Legend" Insane Wayne!
["My Sacrifice" by Creed blasts from the PA system as Insane Wayne
walks out onto the entrance way with the MWF Tag Team Championship
over his shoulder. He raises his arms to the crowd who respond with a
huge "In-Sane-Wayne" chant that brings a smile to the face of the
former UWF World Champion.]
JP: Wayne must be pretty happy with the
reception he's received in the MWF, it's been similar to the return
of a long lost son.
Sully: I would be cheering if he hadn't
brought that son of a bitch Iniquity with him, how can In iquity be
rising so fast up the MWF ranks when he's only just begun
wrestling/
JP: Iniquity has shown great ring awareness
and ability, he looks a born winner.
Sully: I don't know about that JP, he has
weaknesses that are yet to be uncovered..he's a huge man and anyone
who has the speed could prove a problem for Iniquity.
[Insane Wayne reaches the ring, climbs the ropes and raises the
MWF Tag Team Championship to the fans before handing it to Peter
Santos, he shakes hands with Charles Galliant and awaits the arrival
of his opponent.]
Peter Santos: Introducing, the MWF World Champion, from
Manchester, England, weighing in at 210 lbs., a member of "The
Untouchables" and of course the MWF World Champion, "The Ruthless
Rookie" Kidd Kidman!
[The slow tones of "In The End" by Linkin Park creep through the
arena as Kidman walks out in a spotlight of yellow, he pauses for a
second and then leaps in the air as the guitar rips through the PA
system and fireworks explode in turn. He takes the MWF World
Championship and holds it high in the air sending the crowd into a
cheering fit, Insane Wayne stares at the belt from the ring.]
JP: This man in his time in the MWF has for
me worked so hard to become the MWF World Champion that it just feels
right, he's one of the next generation and they're beginning to
shine.
Sully: Anarkist's gone, The Jeopardizer's
gone, Sam King's injured...they are a dying breed in the MWF.
JP: The new dawn is slowly coming over the
old hills and Kidd Kidman becoming MWF World Champion was for me the
first major sign of that happening.
Sully: He's got the potential to become a
legend but only if he plays is right, he can't be rash and matches
like this are matches he has to win.
JP: Insane Wayne's wrestling tonight with
the stipulation set by the MWF President that is he is a winner he
will give Iniquity the chance to have a shot at Kidman and the MWF
World Championship.
Sully: The stakes are high, battle is
immenient.
[Kidd Kidman reaches the ring, he places the MWF World
Championship around his waist and leaps up onto the turnbuckle,
taunting the fans. They roar in approval, as Insane Wayne leans
against the opposite turnbuckle watching the young champion.]
JP: Kidman is only a young man, but an
impressive young man.
Sully: I doubt he can match up to the battle
hardened Insane Wayne, he's fought more matches than all these new
generation superstars put together.
JP: The trouble is, they have the talent,
the speed and the charisma to make men like Wayne look old and
weary...how does Wayne fight this?
Sully: He is only as old as he feels, we all
know Wayne is an exceptional wrestler and if he manages to finishes
matches quickly he will have no problem.
[Charles Galliant takes the MWF World Championship and parades it
to the fans, before handing it to Peter Santos and prepares the two
men for the match. The bell sounds and Galliant calls for a fair
fight as the two men lock up, Wayne's weight advantage shows straight
away as Kidman is forced down onto one knee...Wayne rams his knee
into the head of the MWF World Champion and Kidman falls back onto
the canvas. Wayne drops down and the crowd roar as he locks in the
'Death by Strangulation', a painful choke submission. Charles
Galliant doesn't recognise it as a choke and Kidman is going red in
the face as Wayne squeezes tight, blocking the airways...Galliant
suddenly realises the nature of Wayne's game and the crowd jeer Wayne
as he gets up. Kidman rolls away holding his throat.]
JP: Kidman must be wishing for a drink of
water right now, not surprising considering that was an illegal choke
by Wayne.
Sully: Wayne's a clever man, he disguised
that choke so Galliant wasn't sure if it was legal or not, he's not
well known for his technical abilities.
JP: Kidman is the technical wrestler in this
match, he has the skills to suplex anyone out of the match.
["The Ruthless Rookie" gets to his feet and ducks as Wayne
thunders at him with a clothesline, the crowd roar as Kidman turns
and Wayne comes running back off the ropes and Kidman grabs Wayne and
with huge strength sends the MWF Tag Team Champion back over his head
with a belly to back suplex. Kidman quickly rolls up Wayne for the
cover...1....2! Wayne breaks out of the cover, Galliant signals the
two.]
Sully: Kidman's covering early, a fatal flaw
in his plan of attack...Insane Wayne will never submit that
early.
JP: Interesting how Kidman has almost all
the support out here tonight, he's a very popular choice as
champion...a people's champion in some respect.
[Kidman keeps the momentum and the "Hardcore Living Legend" is
sent stumbling backwards as Kidman attacks with right hands to the
chest of a rising Insane Wayne...Wayne is sent down to the mat with a
thud as Kidman picks Wayne up and sidewalk slams him. Kidman looks to
the turnbuckle and the crowd roar as Kidman looks to take to the
air.]
Sully: This is not a wise move from Kidman,
it's far too early to be trying out such a high risk move.
JP: I'm sure he knows excactly what he's
doing, he knows that if he hits something big here he could finish
off Insane Wayne before the challenge has really begun.
[Insane Wayne is flat out on the mat, Charles Galliant steps out
of the way as Kidman climbs to the top of the turnbuckle. At the top
he taunts the grounded Insane Wayne, the MWF World Champion leaps off
the top rope, looking for a leg drop onto the grounded Insane Wayne
and he connects! The crowd roar upon impact as the leg of Kidman
drops onto the neck of Wayne and Wayne groans with pain, Kidd Kidman
goes for the cover again....1....2! Insane Wayne gets the shoulder up
confidently.]
Sully: He didn't hook the leg, someone
forgot to tell Kidman that if you want to really get a pinfall on an
opponent you have to hook that leg.
JP: Hooking the leg is a technical aspect
that has been used for decades, its vital. What a move by Kidman, the
advantage of being a smaller man as World Champion is the versatility
and speed you have around the ring, he's agile Kidman.
Sully: He may be agile but the men after his
belt are huge men, Wayne's no shrimp at two seven five and Iniquity
is a beast of a man.
JP: Kidman can get backup from EyCe and
NomaD, NomaD is of course the MWF Xtreme Champion.
[Wayne gets to his feet and the crowd explode in anger as Wayne
executes a low blow on Kidd Kidman...dropping the MWF World Champion
to the mat, Charles Galliant missed the blow and looks around to
wonder what all the fans are jeering about. Insane Wayne grabs Kidd
Kidman and hits 'heaven' on him, sending him crashing for a huge
suplex, Kidman is sprawled onto the mat and Wayne walks round to the
legs of the grounded MWF World Champion and the crowd are unhappy as
Wayne locks in the 'whipper snapper' or figure four leglock.]
Sully: Since when did Insane Wayne get
technical, he just suplexed Kidd Kidman and now he's locking in a
figure four leg lock.
JP: I'm not sure, but I think Wayne's taken
the tactic that the best way to beat Kidman is to get
technical.
Sully: Could cause Kidman to throw his
tactics and go for the more high flying style that we know he is
capable of doing..obviously Wayne can't do that, but I always thought
Wayne was more of a brawler.
JP: He's matured Sully, he's no longer a
roughneck hardcore wrestler who used to make a living by smashing
dustbins over other guys heads...he's a wrestler of great
acclaim.
Sully: Maybe so, but he's still got a lot to
prove to me.
[Kidman writhes in pain as Insane Wayne keeps the hold locked in,
Kidman reaches out for the ropes but he's unable to reach them and he
forces his legs over but Wayne blocks the counter and pushes his legs
over further and Kidman screams with pain. Charles Galliant asks
Kidman if he gives in but Kidman through clenched teeth hisses "No",
Wayne pushes his legs over again, putting his full weight into
it....]
JP: Looks as if Kidman's legs are about to
snap!
Sully: I hope so, teach him for being a
lucky champion...
JP: A lucky champion should get out of this
one, we're seeing a great display of technical wrestling
tonight.
[Kidman leans back further and drags with a huge effort Insane
Wayne nearer the ropes, Wayne attempts to fight back but Kidman leans
back and with his head on the canvas reaches back with his arms.
Charles Galliant calls for Insane Wayne to get off as Kidman grips
the ropes, the effort shown in his faced that is bright red with
exertion. Insane Wayne pushes his legs over and refuses to budge,
Kidman screams with pain and Charles Galliant shouts "I'll disqualify
you" at Wayne and he kicks away from the hold and gets to his feet.]
Sully: Wayne does have some sense, if he
hadn't of let Kidman out of that hold he'd of been in more shit than
a drowning man at a sewage works.
JP: What a nice thought!
Sully: Kidman's got to start fighting back
soon, Wayne's been on top for ages now, Kidman's hardly
featured.
JP: He almost won it in the early stages,
that leg drop was superb.
["Hardcore Living Legend" grabs Kidman by the leg and hauls him
away from the ropes and Kidman stands, guided by Insane Wayne. Wayne
roars at the crowd before setting the MWF World Champion up for the
666....he looks to connect the move but his face is in shock as
Kidman pushes Wayne away and connects with a dropkick, right into the
chest of the "Hardcore Living Legend"...who staggers back. Kidman
grabs Wayne and hits a huge fisherman suplex, hooking the leg as he
does so, Wayne is flat on his shoulders and Galliant
counts....1.....2..! Wayne breaks out and slumps to the mat,
breathing heavily.]
Sully: That's the problem with Wayne, he
can't keep the pace anymore, he has stamina but that stamina is used
up quickly in matches like this...Wayne can't match the pace of
Kidman.
JP: He may not be able to keep up, but
Kidman hasn't exactly made Wayne do much running around, it's been as
you said earlier Sully a very technical match.
Sully: Nothing wrong with technical matches,
probably suited Wayne better that is was slowed down with all these
technical moves, submissions and such like.
JP: I'm looking forward to seeing Iniquity
take on Kidd Kidman, we saw Iniquity earlier and man he was
incredible in the ring.
Sully: Let's hope we won't see Iniquity out
here tonight...
JP: We won't, Walker said earlier that if
Iniquity steps foot in the ring he would automatically make Insane
Wayne lose.
["The Ruthless Rookie" drops down to the mat and the crowd roar as
he locks in a boston half crab, twisting the leg of Insane Wayne into
positions never thought possible. Kidd Kidman grins as Insane Wayne
roars with pain and his body shakes with pain as he arches his
back...Kidman locks the submission even tighter as Wayne struggles to
control his shaking. Insane Wayne reaches out for the ropes but
misses them by an inch, Kidman spots this and drags Wayne's huge body
back towards the centre. Charles Galliant checks Wayne who is shaking
with the pain, his mouth wide open as Kidman suddenly realises the
hold and instead stomps on the leg of Wayne. Wayne is powerless as
Kidman drops a knee into his chest and then covers...1....2..! Wayne
rolls his shoulder, breathing heavily, clutching his leg as Kidman
gets to his feet.]
Sully: This is turning from a match into a
battle, neither of these men is going to give up.
JP: I'm still not sure who has the real
support, on one hand it seems as if the crowd are roaring on Wayne
but then they turn the tide and cheer Kidman on.
Sully: Not surprising when Wayne went for
that low blow, really struck home with some members of the crowd who
remember exactly what Insane Wayne really is.
JP: Was don't you mean? Wayne's a new
man.
Sully: Yes JP and you're the patron saint of
column writing! A changed man, you'll believe anything.
[Kidd Kidman walks towards the turnbuckle, as Insane Wayne remains
grounded....Kidman takes his time climbing the turnbuckle and in this
time Insane Wayne finds the strength and hauls himself up. Kidman is
on the top rope, and he turns round to find Insane Wayne walking
towards him. The crowd explode as Kidman leaps off the top rope,
Insane Wayne catches the MWF World Champion in his arms and the crowd
gasp as Wayne hits a huge move called 'fallen', just dropping Kidman
straight down onto the mat. Kidman hits the mat hard on his face, he
rolls and bounces away as Insane Wayne lumbers after him. Kidman is
dragged to his feet and the MWF Tag Team Champion ties Kidman up in
the ropes. Charles Galliant stops Insane Wayne before he can make any
contact.]
JP: That just reflected this match, one
moment it's Kidman with the advantage but both of these men have so
much pride they can't allow one man to dominate. It's as if everytime
they try to do something, the other one has a trap ready to be sprung
at any moment.
Sully: It's more technical than your average
match that's for sure.
JP: No harm in that! I think technical
wrestling is far too buried these days, I don't mind seeing the MWF
Xtreme Championship matches but there is something special about a
perfectly executed suplex.
Sully: I agree JP, I agree.
[Insane Wayne is pushes away by Charles Galliant who puts his
authority in front of the MWF Tag Team Champion, Wayne is threatened
with disqualification once again and he calmly walks away. Charles
Galliant unties Kidman and the MWF World Champion stands. Wayne turns
round and Kidman charges, he leaps up and grabs the head of Insane
Wayne and hits a huge jump swinging DDT, Insane Wayne thuds onto the
mat and Kidman goes for a quick cover, hooking the leg....1....2...!
At the last possible second the MWF Tag Team Champion breaks free.]
JP: That was close, I thought he was gone
then.
Sully: Was too close!
[Kidman gets up, Wayne is already standing and the two men lock
up, Wayne pushes Kidman back but "The Ruthless Rookie" despite the
weight advantage manages to hold his ground, Wayne pushes harder and
Kidman moves, knocking Wayne off balance. A sharp kick has Wayne
staggering and the crowd go wild as Kidman executes a twist of fate!
Bang! Wayne's head snaps onto the mat and Kidman rolls away and
sprints to the turnbuckle. The crowd are on their feet cheering as
Kidman goes up to the top rope, he doesn't stop to taunt, with
ruthless speed leaps off the top and flips in the air, coming down
with the shooting star press onto Insane Wayne, hooking the leg as
Charles Galliant counts....1....2....3!]
JP: My! Wayne's chance of winning Iniquity
an MWF World Championship hot has literally just vanished..one moment
he was pinning and then he was pinned.
Sully: He must be gutted, but did you see
the speed of Kidman, he was ruthless.
JP: He is the "Ruthless Rookie"!
Peter Santos: And your winner, through pinfall, Kidd
Kidman!
[The crowd roar as Kidman gets to his feet, grabs the MWF World
Championship from Peter Santos and leaps from the ring...the crowd
are confused but suddenly they see Iniquity sprinting to the ring.
The huge man comes hurtling down the entrance way as Kidd Kidman with
MWF World Championship belt in hand leaps over the guardrail and
makes his way through the crowd. Iniquity slides into the ring, and
leans down to check on Insane Wayne.]
Sully: I've never seen Iniquity move that
fast, I swear the ground was shaking as he ran.
JP: He certainly moved then, he sensed the
danger of Wayne being down and Kidman being able to take
advantage.
Sully: What will happen now though, will we
see Iniquity face Kidman anyway?
JP: I somehow doubt it, Walker isn't going
to go back on his word.
Sully: He always has done, and he might just
give in to popular opinion that Iniquity for some strange reason is
worthy of a chance at the MWF World Championship.
[Iniquity stands watching Kidd Kidman make his way hastily through
the crowd, with the fans trying to reach out and touch the MWF World
Champion. Iniquity turns back to Insane Wayne who is being helped up
by Charles Galliant, Wayne leans on Iniquity and shakes his head as
Dynamite begins to close out.]
JP: Well folks, that's all for this
week...Insane Wayne failed in his chance to try and win his tag team
partner and friend Iniquity a chance at the MWF World
Championship.
Sully: He didn't exactly fail, I think he
helped bring out the best in Kidman, I've never seen a wrestler move
so efficiently in the closing stages of a match. Kidman seemed to be
down and out and a performance like that showed why he is the MWF
World Champion.
JP: He's a popular Champion, but yet to
defend.
Sully: That will be the big test, put that
MWF World Championship on the line and everything changes.
JP: We'll see you next week when no doubt
everything will have changed again, the MWF's going through a
transition, tonight we said goodbye to The Jeopardizer but the new
lights of the MWF are beginning to shine.
Sully: Goodnight.
