MWF Tag Team Champions: "Kronik" Sozzey and Mak

versus

Tempest

Handicap Match

Referee: Grant August

Writer: Ed Walker

[The crowd go wild as the camera pans to show Peter Santos taking up his position in the ring, he has a microphone in his right hand and he bellows into it.]

Peter Santos: Ladies and gentlemen, this match is scheduled for one fall is a handicap match.

[The crowd roar in response to the announcement and Peter Santos nods and smiles as referee Grant August signals for Santos to speed up the announcements.]

JP: Tempest is facing a tough challenge, after his brave challenge last night he'll need to dig deep to beat "Kronik".

Sully: The MWF Tag Team Champions looked impressive last night and I wouldn't bet against them destroying Tempest tonight.

JP: I'm not sure if Tempest's body could take another brutal match after all the pain he has endured recently.

Sully: Not as much as The Grudge, three matches in two nightswhat a legend.

[Peter Santos coughs and launches into the first announcement, the crowd are on their feet awaiting the arrival of the man who so nearly took the MWF World Heavyweight Championship away from Thunder Bull.]

Peter Santos: Introducing first, weighing in at 254 lbs., from Boston, Massachusetts, Tempest!

[David Bowie's "Heart's Filthy Lesson" filters through the PA system and the entrance way glows a dull green as the figure of Tempest walks slowly out into a spotlight. He has his ribs heavily strapped, both knees are now strapped and he winces slightly as he waves to the fans.]

JP: This man gave everything last night, but The Grudge caused him to lost the MWF World Heavyweight Championship and perhaps his last opportunity.

Sully: The Grudge must be regretting what he did nowTempest will get his revenge no doubt.

JP: My theory is that Thunder Bull is using "The Kovenant" to keep his two greatest challengers closest

Sully: Nonsense!

[Tempest has reached the ring, goes to slide straight in under the bottom rope but thinks better of it. He walks round to the ring steps and instead climbs into the ring via these. He waves to the crowd and shakes the hand of Grant August.]

Peter Santos: And the opponents, weighing in at a combined weight 555 lbs., from Brooklyn, New York, they are the Maximum Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions, "Kronik" Sozzey and Mak!

[The fans cheer as "Numb/Encore" by Linkin Park and Jay-Z hit's the PA system and the duo from New York make their way out to greet the UK crowd. They proudly display their MWF Tag Team Championships, Mak moving to the right of the entrance way and Sozzey to the left as they display the gold.]

JP: "Kronik" are without a doubt the best and most consistent tag team in the MWF's history.

Sully: I'd have to agree, last night those guys really won the respect of everyone in the arena.

JP: It's great to see the tag team division becoming so competitive, it really gives it a great edge.

Sully: It does, and any team could win the belts"Kronik" have hung on for the moment.

[Sozzey and Mak walk down the ramp, high fiving fans as they go and soaking up the atmosphere that the capacity crowd gives. They reach the ring and climb straight up onto the ring apron, and both pause to stare at Tempest for a few moments before ducking through the middle rope. They approach the former leader of "The Master Plan" and Tempest gets a roar from the crowd as he shows no fear and steps right up to the MWF Tag Team Champions.]

JP: Look at that, Tempest might of just lost the biggest match of his career but he's not going to let it affect him.

Sully: Quite right to, despite "The Kovenant" ruining his evening.

JP: He'll come back, and when he does then Thunder Bull will wish The Grudge never interfered.

Sully: I doubt Thunder Bull will be worried about Tempest.

[Grant August quickly gets in between Sozzey and Mak, he asks for their belts and they reluctantly pass over their MWF Tag Team Championships to the experienced official. Grant August passes the belts to Peter Santos and he takes them over to the time keepers table. August has a discussion with Sozzey and Mak, he turns to Tempest who indicates with his hand a tagging motion. The crowd cheer as "Kronik" nod in agreement and Mak turns to make his way to the ring apron. Sozzey flexes his muscles and prepares to grapple.]

JP: This is going to be a tough match for "Kronik" as well.

Sully: I doubt it, once Tempest is weakened up then he won't be much competition.

JP: I think you'll be surprised at the resilience of this incredibly experienced wrestler.

Sully: I might well be, but I highly doubt it.

[The bell sounds and the two men circle around the ring, neither man edging forward or back as they look for an opening. Tempest pauses for a moment and rips away part of a bandage that is strapped to his wristhe shouts a challenge at Sozzey and the tag team wrestler runs across and gets in the face of Tempest. However, Tempest is ready and he executes a drop toe holdSozzey slams face first into the mat and Tempest gets straight onto the back of Sozzey. He locks in an arm bar and the crowd cheer as Sozzey roars with pain, but the tag team wrestler is able to break out after three counts from Grant August. Tempest grabs Sozzey by the hair and pulls him to the feetthe blue haired wrestler is thrown into the turnbuckle by Tempest who quickly follows up with a knee to the chest of Sozzey.]

JP: Tempest has come out fighting, he knows that if he can keep one of "Kronik" pinned down long enough he'll be able to isolate them.

Sully: If he'll be able to do that for the entire match against extremely good opponents is another question.

JP: He's a great talent, and you have to wonder if he'll win the biggest prize in the MWF before he retires.

Sully: Tempest is knocking on a bit, but I think he has a few years left in the tank.

[Tempest has grabbed Sozzey and he lifts him onto the top rope. Tempest clambers up onto the second rope, loops his arm around the neck of Sozzey and hoists up one half of the MWF Tag Team Champions. Sozzey goes flipping over and crashes onto the canvas in a beautifully performed superplex. The crowd applaud the move as Tempest goes for a quick cover 1...2! Sozzey rolls the shoulder and Mak shouts to his brother to make the tag.]

JP: Tempest trying for an early cover there but it's too early in the match. "Kronik" are not weak enough for that.

Sully: Going to take a lot more to break them down than that.

[Tempest quickly takes Sozzey back to his feet and he sends him running into the ropes, Sozzey comes running back and Tempest looks for an elbow to the face. He lands it but the big New Yorker doesn't go down, Sozzey carries on running and makes the tag to Mak. The other half of the MWF Tag Team Champions leaps into action, as Sozzey climbs out of the ring his brother starts his assault on Tempest. Tempest is taken a bit by surprise and he is reeling as Mak lands a right hand, he follows it up with a boot to the face and Tempest is on his back for the first time in the match.]

JP: Now the tide has turned, Sozzey with a bit of strength there and brought his brother into play.

Sully: I'd say Mak is the stronger of the two

JP: Maybe so, but Sozzey is often the brains behind it all.

Sully: No, I mean overall Mak is a stronger wrestler.

[Mak leans down and gets Tempest back to a stand position, and he hoists up the challenger to the MWF World Heavyweight Championship. Tempest manages to break free of Mak's grasp and he slams a fist into Mak's face, the MWF Tag Team Champion takes the punch and roars.Tempest is caught across the neck by a clothesline from Mak that has Tempest laid out once again. Mak taunts to the fans and makes a signal, they cheer and Tempest is man handled back to his feet. He's lifted up and the ring shakes as Mak executes the Mak DownTempest's body crumples as it hit's the mat and Mak hooks the leg 1...2.! Tempest kicks out to the cheers of the crowd.]

JP: Tempest is still in this match, he's hanging in there and not giving up the fight yet.

Sully: The Mak Down is a hell of a move, it's amazing that Tempest managed to kick out.

JP: You've got to remember that this guy competes at a level above "Kronik".

Sully: He's a great asset to the MWF, but he can't compete against these numbers.

[Mak is in control as he leads Tempest back up to his feet, and sends him into the ropes. As Tempest comes back he's caught by Mak as the MWF Tag Team Champion hits a high angle back body drop. Tempest is flying up in the air and comes crashing down, straight onto his back, he clutches it in agony as Mak stands over him. Mak grabs Tempest by the arm and drags him over to the corner, where he tags in Sozzey. Both men take a three count from Grant August to do some damage to Tempest, showing their thuggish side as they put the boot into him.]

JP: That's just brutal, these guys are hammering blows down into the part of Tempest that is injured from the last week of matches.

Sully: It's how the streets of Brooklyn operate.

JP: Tempest is a touch competitor but this might be a step too far for him.

Sully: If he's able to come back from this it will be one of his greatest victories.

[Tempest has curled himself into a ball to protect himself as Grant August grabs Mak and shouts at him to get back into his corner. Sozzey drags Tempest to his feet and the crowd roar as Tempest grapples with Sozzeythe MWF Tag Team Champion uses his slight weight advantage to lean into Tempest and gets away with a subtle knee to the groin. Tempest staggers away clutching his lower regions as Grant August has a quiet word with Sozzey. The MWF Tag Team Champion grabs Tempest and slide behind him, he hits a release German suplex and the crowd roar as Tempest skids across the ringhis back being clutched in pain once again. Sozzey goes after Tempest and he covers 1...2..! Tempest manages to roll the shoulder to the cheers of the crowd who want the match to continue.]

JP: Tempest is still hanging in there.

Sully: He'd be wise to let this one finish, save his strength for another day.

JP: That wouldn't be very Tempest like, he's not that sort of guyhe doesn't give in easily.

Sully: He's a strong competitor, but this is too much for one man.

[Sozzey laughs as he playfully slaps the side of Tempest's head. This isn't a wise move as a look of rage crosses Tempest's face, he roars a challenge and sits up. Sozzey looks to grab Tempest, but he pushes away the arms of Sozzey and hits an uppercut. The head of Sozzey flies back with the force of the blowand Tempest leaps to his feet, Sozzey attempts once again to grab Tempest but he ducks and slides round the side of Sozzey. A reverse DDT shakes the ring and Tempest is up quickly, he holds his ribs and runs at where Mak is on the side. He runs and raises his arm, slamming it into the bridge of Mak's nosethe MWF Tag Team Champion clutches his nose and falls backwards off the ring apron onto the outside.]

JP: A wise move by Tempest! He's taken out one half of the competition.

Sully: That was great wrestling there, now he can focus his efforts on Sozzey.

JP: If he can get the EpiCentre then this match will be all over.

Sully: Sozzey will be no pushover.

[Sozzey is pulled to his feet by Tempest, and is sent running into the ropes. He comes back and Tempest kicks him hard in the mid-section, the crowd roar as Tempest looks for the EpiCentre. He locks his arm around the neck of Sozzey, and looks for the slight liftbut it doesn't come. Sozzey manages to stand firm, he attempts to get his head free from Tempest's grasp but Tempest holds firm. He looks for the slight lift again and this time it comes, Tempest squeezes hard on the head of Sozzey and leaps backwards. The cameras flash as Tempest executes the EpiCentre and lays out one half of the MWF Tag Team Champions, he hooks the leg of Sozzey and the crowd roar as Grant August counts 1...2...Mak is up on the outside and he looks on in desperation as the hand of Grant August falls3! The bell sounds and Tempest rolls off Sozzey, his arm raised in victory.]

JP: What a show of strength and resilience.

Sully: Tempest stuck at his task and has bounced straight back from the defeat of last night.

JP: He's a tough son of a bitch

Sully: he really is.

Peter Santos: And your winner, through pin fall, Tempest!

[Tempest gets to his feet, holding his mid-section as he raises his arms...on one hand he holds up one finger, on the other hand he holds up two fingers and nods to the crowd.]

JP: Tempest sending a message there, one down...two to go.

Sully: I doubt his opponents will be too scared.

JP: We're running out of time, we'll see you next week!

Sully: Goodnight!
