Enigma w/Tempest

versus

Father John Ramsey w/Eric

Singles Match

Referee: Grant August

Writer: Ed Walker

JP: This is going be an interesting match, Enigma's first singles outing since he took on Thunder Bull.

Sully: He's been out of action for a long time and I hope that doesn't count against him tonight.

JP: He's facing Father John Ramsey, who despite having a blistering start to his MWF career is still struggling to get into the main event.

Sully: There's no doubting Ramsey has talent, but he's just not being consistent enough.

JP: Unlike Steven Douglas who is turning into Mr. Consistency, every match he's had so far he's outshone the competition. He's not just beaten them, he's destroyed them.

Sully: I for one never thought Steven Douglas would ever turn around the negative image he had.

JP: He's done well, but back to Enigma...he was starting to emerge as a real contender for a main event place but he lost the edge after that brutal battle with Thunder Bull.

Sully: I thought he'd won it, I really did. I couldn't believe it when Thunder Bull turned it around.

JP: The Master Plan have a new found popularity, and certainly seem to be loved over here in Japan. It's strange, before they came back they were the most despised men in the MWF.

[Peter Santos is in the centre of the ring and the crowd roar as he raises the mic to his lips, he bellows out.]

Peter Santos: This match is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, weighing in at 230 lbs., accompanied by Tempest, a member of The Master Plan, Enigma!

[The fans give out a cheer as "Youth of the Nation" by P.O.D hits the PA system and Enigma walks out, with Tempest behind him. Enigma is wearing a t-shirt with "The Master Plan" inscribed across the front and he raises his arms and soaks up the relative cheers of the crowd.]

JP: He looks confident, and he performed well at Conflict when "The Master Plan" managed to come away with a win.

Sully: An important and impressive win it was to.

JP: Father John Ramsey of course fell foul of Jeff X, I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch of those two some time.

Sully: Ramsey talked a lot of talk, but at the end of the day he didn't deliver and I think he damaged his reputation with that move.

[Enigma reaches the ring, he climbs up into the ring and walks to the turnbuckle. He climbs it and taunts the fans, who respond with cheers and cameras flash to take pictures of the young star. Tempest stays on the outside of the ring, the older man smiles as his young charge soaks up the atmosphere and turns to face the entrance way.]

Peter Santos: And the opponent, weighing in at 163 lbs., from Orlando, Florida, accompanied by his manager Eric, Father John Ramsey!

[The sounds of hymns fill the arena and the Japanese crowd aren't too sure what to make of this as Father John Ramsey walks out from behind the entrance curtain, he is dressed in complete priest attire and he holds a bible in his right hand. He raises the bible to the Japanese crowd, but it doesn't bring much of a response...at least not the usual response. Ramsey looks a little confused as he looks around, Eric walks behind him and the priest calls him to his side as they walk down the entrance ramp.]

JP: This isn't the deep South, Ramsey doesn't get the kind of reaction he's used to.

Sully: It's a whole different culture out here...someone like Ramsey is completely unknown.

JP: Enigma looks like a wrestler, Ramsey looks a bit more like a priest lost in a wrestling ring.

Sully: There's no denying Ramsey's talent, but something tells me his ego is getting a bit too big.

[Father John Ramsey reaches the ring, he walks to the ring steps and walks up the ring steps. Eric takes the bible from Ramsey and takes a position at ringside, he eyes Tempest cautiously and the young Eric makes himself scarce as Tempest shouts something at him. Ramsey strips off his priest's robes and folds them neatly and hands them over the ropes to Eric, who walks round and puts them at the time keepers table. Father John Ramsey shakes hands with Grant August and the experienced referee briefly chats with Ramsey, while Enigma paces around waiting for the match to start.]

JP: Enigma just wants to get this show on the road, he's hungry for this match.

Sully: He won't find it easy though, Ramsey is a very technical wrestler.

JP: Enigma's got a slight weight advantage and he needs to make sure that counts for as much as possible.

Sully: Ramsey is the lightest man on the roster...

JP: ...but you can't underestimate him.

[Grant August pats Ramsey on the back and the priest takes a position in the centre of the ring, and August calls for the bell. The ring bell rings loud and true through the arena as Enigma and Ramsey prepare to face off. Enigma locks up with Ramsey and puts his weight to good use, he leans into Ramsey and kicks his legs out from underneath him. The priest falls to the canvas and Enigma stamps on the mid section of Ramsey and shouts down at him...Tempest applauds the early exchange from Enigma and "The Master Plan" wrestler looks fired up as he pulls Ramsey up and sends him running into the ropes. As the priest comes back, Enigma drops a shoulder and the crowd roar as Ramsey is back body dropped onto the mat. Ramsey hits the mat and comes up holding his back, Enigma runs over and stomps again hard on the mid section of Ramsey. Eric shouts for the priest to get out of the ring and recover, but Ramsey doesn't have time.]

JP: Enigma's off to a flying start here, he doesn't want to waste a moment against such a dangerous opponent.

Sully: "The Master Plan" are having a good night so far...The Hobo picked up the win earlier, with a little help from Enigma and now it could be Enigma's turn to taste success.

JP: He needs a win to get back on track.

Sully: This Japanese crowd are warming to Enigma.

[Enigma picks up Father John Ramsey and the crowd cheer as he makes the ring shake by executing a strong DDT...it stuns Ramsey onto the mat and Enigma hooks the leg and Grant August counts ...1...2! Ramsey kicks out with some power, as Eric cheers the kick out from his client. Father John Ramsey is pulled straight back up to his feet and is irish whipped into the turnbuckle. Enigma runs after Ramsey and looks for a clothesline, but the priest hits the turnbuckle and flails out a leg behind him. The leg of Ramsey catches the young Enigma and "The Master Plan" member staggers back. Ramsey takes the moment and the opportunity to climb up onto the second rope. Tempest shouts warning to Enigma but it's too late as the man of the cloth comes off the second rope and hits a dropkick right into the chest of Enigma. "The Master Plan" members is laid out on his back and Ramsey prowls around him like a dangerous predator.]

JP: This is where Ramsey is strongest, while the opponent is down and he can put in some mat work.

Sully: Ramsey's a technical expert and any situation like this is damaging to Enigma.

[Ramsey leans down and grabs the arm of Enigma, "The Master Plan" member roars with pain as Ramsey lifts up the right arm while standing on the back of Enigma....the arm is wrenched out of place as Enigma attempts to break free, but the weight of Ramsey standing on his back keeps him pinned down. Grant August counts to the three and then orders Ramsey to let go, the priest immediately lets go and Enigma rolls away holding his right shoulder socket. Father John Ramsey prowls after him and as Enigma stands he's grabbed by Ramsey and the crowd cheer as a headlock takedown has Enigma rolled down onto the canvas again. Ramsey looks for a cover ...1...2! Enigma rolls the shoulder and is helped to his feet by Father John Ramsey. The priest picks up the bigger wrestler and the crowd watch on as a body slam is executed to perfection by Ramsey and Enigma is flat out on his back once again. Tempest looks slightly worried at ringside and slams on the ring apron for Enigma to get his momentum back.]

JP: Enigma's starting to falter and Ramsey's making him pay for that.

Sully: Ramsey's going to wear him down now with lots of technical moves and Enigma's going to be in a bit of trouble.

JP: Eric's looking rather smug at ringside, Tempest looks worried.

Sully: I'm not surprised, he's seeing his stable mate lose this match.

[Enigma is down on the mat and Eric calls for Ramsey to finish the match...Father John Ramsey leans down and pulls Enigma back up to a standing position. "The Master Plan" member looks for a right hand into the chest of Ramsey, but he manages to block and he grapples Enigma. Despite a struggle he rolls around to the back of Enigma and the crowd clap and cheer in response as Ramsey looks to hoist up Enigma for a back body drop. Tempest shakes his head as Enigma starts to rise through the air....but suddenly the crowd go wild as Enigma flips over and escapes the move. Enigma lands perfectly on his feet and Ramsey turns around, only for Enigma to fire a right hand into the face of Ramsey. The priest staggers back and Enigma shoots a left hand that breaks through the guard of Ramsey and suddenly the priest is on the back foot. Enigma roars and charges at Father John Ramsey, Eric hides his face as Enigma clotheslines Father John Ramsey and the crowd go wild.]

JP: Now it's Eric looking worried, Tempest has got to be happy with this turn around from Enigma.

Sully: This is why this kid has a future, he's got real heart in what he's doing.

JP: He just needs to string a few wins together, and the scalp of Father John Ramsey is a massive one.

Sully: This match is far from over though!

[Enigma looks pumped as Father John Ramsey starts to get up, holding his neck after the impact of the clothesline. The crowd go wild as Enigma crouches down and then runs at Ramsey, the priest turns round and the cameras light up the arena with blinding flashes as Enigma hits a powerful spear that sends Father John Ramsey so far back that he hits his head on the ropes and bounces off them. Ramsey flips and rolls over half the ring, and Enigma staggers after him...still holding his right arm a little. Father John Ramsey is down and Enigma slumps over him for the cover, Grant August slams the canvas ...1...2.! The crowd go wild as Father John Ramsey manages to roll the shoulder and Eric punches the air with delight and relief.]

JP: What resilience from Father John Ramsey...he managed to survive a spear.

Sully: He's a fighter, not a quitter. But Enigma had him there, he almost had him.

JP: "The Master Plan" looking for their second victory of the night.

Sully: They almost had it there and then.

[Tempest is up on the ring apron, he claps and calls for Enigma to get straight back on the offensive. Enigma responds and gets to his feet, he pulls Ramsey up and looks for a DDT...the crowd roar as Ramsey refuses to move. Enigma clubs the back of Ramsey and the priest gives in and a DDT has him motionless on the mat. Enigma smiles and instead of going for the cover he goes to the top rope. The fans roar as he gets to the top rope and looks down on where Father John Ramsey is laid out on the canvas. Enigma makes a signal and leaps off the top rope, the fans go wild as he executes a shooting star and lands it onto the canvas! Tempest shouts with anger as Father John Ramsey manages to roll out of the way and Enigma slams into the canvas. Enigma has landed on his right arm and he holds it, as Father John Ramsey slowly gets to his feet.]

JP: This doesn't look too good for Enigma, if there's one part of your body you don't want to be hurting when you face Ramsey...it's your right arm.

Sully: You know what's coming don't you JP?

JP: I think it could well be...

Sully: ...the cross-face chicken wing!

[Ramsey crouches down as he awaits the standing Enigma..."The Master Plan" member is slowly getting to his feet as Ramsey waits behind him for the perfect chance to pounce. The arena explodes as Enigma finally stands and his right arm is grabbed by Ramsey and the priest locks in his finishing move, the cross-face chicken wing. Enigma flaps around and attempts to break free, but he ends up screaming with pain as the hold is locked in and he's unable to move. Ramsey has the move locked in tight and Enigma tries to break free, but his face goes red with exertion and Tempest is on the ring apron frantically encouraging him to stay with it. Grant August is in position and he signals for the bell as the free hand of Enigma flaps and he calls for the match to be over.]

JP: Ramsey does it...straight back on track with a great victory.

Sully: Enigma was unlucky there...the cross-face chicken wing is a deadly move.

Peter Santos: And your winner, through pin fall, Father John Ramsey!

[The fans cheer as Ramsey releases the hold straight away and raises his arms in a victory salute to the crowd. Enigma drops the mat and Tempest ducks through the ropes and appears at the side of Enigma, he helps "The Master Plan" member to his feet and the crowd roar as once he's got Enigma standing he turns his attentions to Ramsey. The priest is stopped short of celebrating as he is clubbed around the back of the head by the leader of "The Master Plan"....Ramsey turns, holding the back of his head to see the red and angry face of Tempest.]

JP: Oh dear...."The Master Plan" might well be turning back to their old ways.

Sully: Tempest is just a bit upset that the priest has ruined their return to Monday Night Dynamite.

JP: He just can't take losing.

[Tempest pushes Ramsey and starts to shout at him, the priest looks shocked as Tempest pushes him again and they near the ropes. Eric leaps into the ring and the young manager runs at Tempest and looks to take him down. The leader of "The Master Plan" turns and meets the onrushing Eric with a short arm clothesline that drops him to the canvas, something inside Father John Ramsey snaps and the arena explodes as he grabs Tempest from behind and unleashes a right hand into the face of Tempest. The two men start to brawl across the ring, Ramsey throwing right and left hands...uncharacteristically, as security rush down the entrance ramp to break up the two men.]

JP: Two of the most powerful men in the MWF are resorting to a good old brawl here on Monday Night Dynamite.

Sully: Father John Ramsey started to lose it there...after his young manager was attacked by Tempest.

JP: It wasn't Tempest who attacked him! He was acting in self defence.

[Security hit the ring and Tempest is pulled away from Ramsey, who is also swarmed by the security team....Tempest is dragged away, shouting at Ramsey as the priest suddenly falls silent and returns to where Eric is getting up, holding his sore neck.]

JP: I think we need to go to a commercial, these two men need to cool down.

Sully: Certainly do, we'll be back after this.
