"Prime Time" The Vine
versus
"Phoenix" Sean Harley w/Jamie Harley
Singles Match
Referee: Grant August
[After their entrance, the bell would ring, and the two men would
go to work, locking up almost immediately.]
Sully: Here we go!
JP: Both men with something to prove here
tonight! The Vinewell, what a win it would be for him if he managed
to defeat Sean Harely tonight!
Sully: Hah! A miracle it would be!
JP: And Sean Harely needs the win to credit
himself after that loss against Troy for his TV Title!
[Sean Harely would get the upper hand, locking his arm around the
head of his opponent, the fans cheering "Prime Time" loudly and
clearly. Sean Harely would clench his teeth, grinning maniacally as
he tightens the hold in a cocky manner, down on one knee.]
JP: Sean Harely looking to end this one
early!
[The hold is tightened greatly and The Vine would look as if he
was going to go down from the move, onto his knees, looking most
weary at this point, the fans doing their best to get behind him and
to cheer him on. He would begin to struggle to his find, finding his
way up as the arm is hooked around his head still. Sean would clench
his jaw as he squeezes the hold around his head, but The Vine shows
signs of snapping out of it. The fans would grow more intense as he
shakes and pulls out of the hold, pushing Harely forwards into the
ropes. Sean comes off the ropes and is met by a hard chop.]
JP: And a vicious chop by the newcomer, who
is beginning to settle in to the match!
[Sean would stumble back a step or two before tipping forwards for
a second chop, knocking him back into the ropes. A third! The fans
really getting behind the young man.]
Sully: C'mon, Sean! Don't let this new comer
get the best o' yuh!
JP: He's getting more than the best of him!
He has Harley against the ropes, here!
[Sean Harley would eventually come to his senses as he scrambles
away from the ropes and his attacker. Moving towards the other side
of the ring, he'd refocus himself before surging forwards with a
sharp kick to the gut of The Vine.]
Sully: There y' go!
JP: Sean Harely getting in quick with a shot
to the gut of The Vine!
Sully: And what sort of name is 'The Vine',
anyway? Is he some sort of weed? Is he a weed, JP?
JP: Not that I know of, but what I am aware
of is that he is an incredible athlete, and is putting up one heck of
a fight here tonight!
Sully: But look who's got the upper hand,
JP! Look who's got the headlock in again for not the first time
tonight!
[The headlock is indeed administered for the second time in this
match. Harley, his chest red from the previous chops, continues to
tighten the hold, growling, head snapping from side to side as, like
a wild animal, he heaves in and out with breath. The Vine reaches out
his hand as if to summon the energy required to pull out of this
hold. He'd stand, the fans still chanting his name as he drives his
elbow into the midsection of Sean Harley. And then again. And again.
Sean's grip would be loosened and off the ropes behind him The Vine
would bounce, coming forwards and driving his forearm against the
back of Sean Harley. Sean cries out, leaning forwards a bit before
receiving a swift spinning kick to the back of his knees that lands
him on his back. Demonstrating great athleticism, The Vine would turn
around and, from the mat, would deliver a moonsault to the fallen
opponent before going for the cover.12- He kicks out. Sean Harley
would stand, holding his belly and moving for the turnbuckle. The
Vine would move after him with obvious intent, but Harley would raise
his hands in defence, seeming to plead with his opponent, the fans
booing him. After ensuring that the referee is not in a location that
enables him to see it, he would lash out, striking The Vine in the
sensitive area with one heck of a low-blow!]
JP: Oh no! What a way to turn the match
around- a low blow, a BLATANT low blow!
Sully: See? A rookie's mistake! He should
have seen something like that coming!
JP: Because Sean Harley is a cheater?
Sully: Don't be ridiculous! Everybody uses
the low blow from time to time! The Vine was just demonstrating how
wet behind the ears he is! He has to be more aware!
[The Vine turns around, hands in between his upper thighs as he
cries out dramatically, Harley moving forwards and landing a huge
bull dog to him. The Vine hits the canvas hard, head-first. Sean
Harley moves forwards, scrambling over for the cover. 12- The Vine
kicks out! Sean Harley seems, now, to have the upper hand completely,
and grabs The Vine by the back of the head, marching him over towards
the turnbuckle, before shoving him forcefully into it. He'd go to
work with stomps before leaning forwards and choking him. The referee
would eventually get between them, breaking it up. Sean Harley would
carry on landing punches and stomps to the man trapped in the corner
before looking up towards the ramp and looking most confused and
concerned. The fans begin to cheer audibly as onto the ramp steps
General Manager Dom Stoate, smiling smugly as he makes his way down
the ramp confidently.]
JP: What the-? It's the General Manager, Dom
Stoate!
Sully: What the hell is he doing out
here?!
JP: I don't know, but he could just be
enough to throw "The Phoenix" off his game here!
Sully: He can't just be allowed to walk down
here like that!
JP: He's the General Manager, he can do what
he wants!
[Smiling as he walks down the ramp, Dom Stoate would close in on
the ring. Sean Harley would hesitate before turning back to his
opponent and stomping at him, he'd turn away again, watching as the
General Manager stands up on the apron casually. He'd eventually step
over to him, turning his back on his fallen opponent to move over to
the ropes The two would have a little dispute for a while, Sean not
seeing The Vine clamber up behind him before pulling him down for a
quick roll-up. 12He just manages to kick out. Stoate would smile as
Sean stands up, being knocked down by a clothesline just as he
stands. Sean would stand again, turning around in a daze before
receiving a spinning heel kick from the luchador! The fans cheer The
Vine on as he begins to stomp away on Harley, Stoate now outside of
the ring, not standing on the apron anymore. Harley would struggle to
his feet, holding onto the ropes as The Vine darts forwards in an
attempt to kick him. Harley darts out of the way however, and The
Vine ends up hung up on the second rope painfully. Harley would pull
him off, kicking him in the midsection before looking to execute a
perfect "Fiery Grave"! The fans explode as The Vine reverses and The
Vine Bomb has Sean Harley crushed into the canvas...Dom Stoate looks
shocked and is unable to react in time as Grant August
counts...1....2....3!]
JP: This has to be it, now.
Sully: Yes!
Peter Santos: And your winner, through pinfall, The Vine!
[The bell rings and Sean Harley leans on the ropes, looking most
worn-out. Dom Stoate, looking rather blank, would slide under the
bottom rope casually, chair in hand. As Sean turns around, the GM
would face him, Harley jerking a bit in shock. The fans would start
to hum with brimming excitement as Stoate holds the chair, Harley
backing off a bit. In the corner of the ring, The Vine begins to
stand, and Stoate moves towards him, never taking his eyes off
Harely, narrowed. He'd lay a hand on the weary-looking Vine, leaning
down to ask him something probably along the lines of 'are you
okay?'.]
Sully: I can't believe that Sean Harley
lost, God damnit I bet that General Manager paid The Vine to
win!
JP: The Vine put up one hell of a fight, and
certainly didn't go down easily, he deserved the win!
[Stoate would turn to look back to Sean, narrowing his eyes at
him, frowning deeply, the fans' reaction heating up. Harley looks
hesitant and sheepish as Stoate closes in and stands there, about a
foot or two in front of him Stoate would point to the chair and then
Sean, who shakes his head.]
Sully: What's he playing at?!
JP: It looks like he's going to clunk Sean
one!
[He'd raise the chair, Sean stiffening to absorb the blow, but
Stoate turns with the chair, smacking it across the head of the man
behind him, crumpling The Vine to the floor, much to the shock of the
audience. Stoate would look rather emotionless, looking down to him.]
Sully: YES! YES!
JP: Good God no! What's this?! What's
this?!
[Sean would step forwards, as would Stoate. They take each others
hands and shake heartily, the fans growling and making a lot of noise
to portray their displeasure.]
JP: What in the- Ohh no! This can't
be!
Sully: I knew it! He's on Sean Harley's page
completely, JP!
[Sean Harley would look so very, very happy as he stands over the
fallen Vine. And, after a little bit of Sean's taunting, Stoate would
beckon towards the top of the ramp.]
JP: Uh? What now?
[After a bit and to rapturous jeering, KRONIK would step out from
behind the curtain, marching down the ramp.]
JP: Oh no! What is THIS about?
Sully: Them too? This is great!
[Sean and Stoate smiling, would walk over to the edge of the ring,
stepping back again as KRONIK move underneath the bottom rope. They'd
all slap high-fives briefly, before KRONIK turn towards The Vine who
is beginning to struggle to his feet.]
JP: Oh good God, no.
Sully: It looks like The Vine is going to
learn what being in this business is aaaallll about, JP!
JP: There's no need for this!
Sully: Haha! The Vine is going to be called
right out here on Monday Night Dynamite!
[The crowd are still jeering loudly as The Vine struggles to his
feet....Mak is behind him and Sozzey in front, Sozzey grins as The
Vine turns around and attempts to run away but runs straight into the
arms of Mak. The Vine is lifted up and Mak runs towards Sozzey with
The Vine in his arms...Sozzey moves and the crowd explode in fury as
The Vine is hit with a dropkick by Sozzey that knocks The Vine down
in the air and as he goes down Mak catches him and executes a jumping
piledriver. The move has The Vine unconscious on the mat...General
Manager Dom Stoate walks over and shakes the hands of Sozzey and Mak
before looking down at The Vine with pity in his eyes.]
JP: He's an evil, evil man! I thought that
Dom Stoate had a heart but it turns out he's just as power hungry as
the next man, when I heard Sean Harley wanted help to try and win the
MWF Television Championship I didn't think he'd go this far.
Sully: This far? I have a feeling that
Harley is only just beginning, he's got the backing of the MWF's
General Manager and Stoate wields a lot of power.
JP: The Vine has been beaten to a pulp, that
move from Sozzey and Mak that must of hurt like hell.
Sully: Dropkick from Sozzey, you go flying
and Mak catches you and sends you for a sudden death via a jumping
piledriver.
JP: I hope it never happens to me...someone
needs to come out here and make sure Dom Stoate has that look on his
face slapped off.
Sully: Who are you expecting to come out?
Who wants to save The Vine? He's just a little creep in the big game
of things.
JP: We've got another stable to contend with
then, first we had the "Untouchables", then "Twisted Vision" reared
it's ugly head and now whatever they're called have decided to join
the party.
Sully: Gang warfare is coming to the MWF!
Yahoo!
JP: I don't think Walker will be too happy,
his MWF General Manager getting involved like this...I for one
thought that Sean Harley was going to take the full force of that
chair but Stoate did the classic double cross.
Sully: At least The Vine got the win, you
can't complain about that.
JP: He got a win and a beating that could
see him not being able to wrestle for a while.
Sully: If he's got any balls he'll be back
in the ring next week and looking to get revenge on this lot...not
that he could ever beat all three of them.
[The MWF General Manager waves for Sean Harley, Sozzey and Mak to
follow him as he makes his way from the ring and walks up the
entrance ramp leaving The Vine down in the ring. The crowd heckle Dom
Stoate has he smirks with a cold steely look in his eyes, he high
fives Sean Harley.]
JP: He's an evil piece of work and now the
MWF needs to be careful of him.
Sully: Someone should give the man a medal,
that beating of The Vine is one of the best things I've seen on MWF
television for a long time...he deserved it, the cocky little
bugger.
JP: We've got a beating coming up next when
Kidd Kidman defends against Iniquity, the MWF World Championship is
there for the taking.
Sully: Yeah and Iniquity's going to take it
from Kidman, you watch "The Ruthless Rookie" won't be feeling very
ruthless after what Iniquity does to him.
JP: Hell Fire Kidd will be in the corner of
Kidman, Insane Wayne will be backing up Iniquity...they could be key
to any victory that is scored tonight.
Sully: I'd rather have the power of Insane
Wayne in my corner, he's a beast and also a genuis.
JP: A genuis with a brain for making things
worse for everyone else in the MWF...he only ever thinks about
himself.
Sully: I knew when Insane Wayne first joined
it was only a matter of time before he turned his back on the
fans...you can't have a man like Wayne entertaining the fans, he is
there to scare the living hell out of them.
JP: He doesn't do a bad job at it, I know
many fans are praying for a miracle to save Kidd Kidman...but I don't
think they'll need one, Kidman is capable of beating the highest
level of opposition.
Sully: Come on, Insane Wayne wasn't trying
and we all know the victory at Implosion was a fluke.
JP: Ah the pay-per-view, I guess now would
be a good time to tell all of you that Sunday November 30th will see
the MWF live in Chicago, Illinois for Nightmare!
Sully: It will be one hell of a night, we're
not sure what will be going down but as soon as we find out we'll let
you know.
JP: Something tells me that Dom Stoate will
have got his dirty little fingers into play by then and Sean Harley
will figure somewhere in that event.
Sully: Hopefully near the top! Sean Harley
deserves to be a top end wrestler, he's more than the MWF Television
Championship level...leave that to the Troy Knight's.
JP: Harley is fixated on revenge, much like
Iniquity tonight...he wants his chance after Kidman beat Insane Wayne
and Iniquity will be sure to try and beat down Kidman so that he'll
never walk again.
Sully: If he doesn't win I don't know what's
wrong with the world.
JP: If he was to win the MWF would never be
the same again!
