"The Demon Knight" Fear

Versus

Father John Ramsey

Singles Match

Referee: Brian Ford

Writer: Dom Stoate

JP: Both men hardly veterans to the MWF. Fear has been here considerably longer than Father John Ramsey, but he is yet to hit the big time here.

[It is Fears entrance as we join the next match from the commercials. Lights twinkle and shine, beaming down and following him as he makes his way slowly and definitely down the ramp.]

Sully: Youve hardly given him a chance, JP. He hasnt gotten going because he has had major problems. He hasnt achieved all of his potential because he has had obstacles.

JP: Well there is no doubt that he is a real ring presence. He was a huge legend in UWF and he hopes to extend his reign of wrestling by doing here   what he did in the UWF. Perhaps he can start to do that by beating Father John Ramsey this week.

Sully: Easy.

JP: Ramsey aint no push-over, Sully. He may be new but he will want to win this as much as Fear. And lets not forget that his record is considerably better than Fears.

Sully: Like I said, JP. Give it time.

[Eventually, Fear would get into the ring. He would duck beneath the top rope after hauling himself up onto the ring apron. His music would gradually fade out as he paces about the ring, eyes set on his opponent who stands there, his cloak being removed from his back by the referee. He would shake out his arms a little bit as he steps forwards, eyeing his opponent for this match. Fear would glare at him fearlessly as he awaits the bell.]

JP: Both men want to win this match. Both men are desperate to get this win beneath their belt. This is going to be one hell of a match.

[The bell rings and both men surge forwards. Neither of them get the upper hand that they want, however and instead, just seem to smack heads. They both stumble to the sides, managing to keep their balance before lunging for each other again and going to lock each other up into a collar-elbow tie-up.]

JP: Lets not forget that Fear has almost a hundred pounds on his diminutive opponent. He is also a lot taller.

Sully: So what? Ramseys like seven years older than him. Experience counts for a lot, JP. If any one was to have the upper hand here, Id say it was
him.

[Fears strength and size get the better of Ramsey. He would snap him into a quick head lock, forcing him down into a crouched position. Hed raise his head, crying out in a sort of battle cry before tightening the hold. He would raise an arm before slamming it across the back of his opponent, loosening his own hold as he does. He would release Ramseys head, allowing him to stagger backwards across the canvas before taking advantage and going to slam his arm across his back again. The same horrible thwacking sound reverberates through the arena again and Fear would walk after Ramsey who backs into a corner.]

JP: See what I mean? Fear has the clear upper hand. He is a lot bigger. Size can mean a lot in a wrestling ring.

[Fear goes after Ramsey and grabs him by the throat, pushing him against the turnbuckle, putting the force against his head and neck area as he does.
Ramsey would plead with the referee before the referee breaks it up. Ramsey, dazed, would stumble forwards and Fear would take full advantage, dashing off the ropes and slamming his arm into the face of him, knocking him backwards onto the back of his head. The audience sound thoroughly appalled and Fear just smiles at this, giving them a quick smirk before going down, rolling his opponent over and going for the cover, neglecting to hook the leg.]

[12..Ramsey gets the shoulder up.]

JP: Fear clearly has the upper hand here. He may be younger than Ramsey but he has a lot of big time ring experience.

Sully: Hes just a better wrestler through and through.

[Ramsey holds onto his head as he does his best to sit up. Fear unhelpfully goes to pull him up, grabbing onto his head and hauling him up to his feet.
He would let Ramsey stagger about a little bit before going to slam into his chest with a chop. Ramsey would be flung back by the chop, leaning into the ropes which provides Fear with the perfect opportunity to slam another two chops into his chest. He would then, as Ramsey writhes against the ropes, go to grab onto one of his legs as if to pull them out from under him, but Ramsey is quicker than that. He would quickly put his weight onto the held leg, pulling himself up and nailing Fear right in the jaw with a kick, knocking him backwards and off balance. This gets a major pop from the fans
as the foot slaps against Fears face.]

JP: Man what a shot!

Sully: Kick in the face! How low!

[Fear staggers backwards across the canvas as Ramsey strays from the ropes, staggering a little himself as he goes forwards and delivers a huge clothesline to Fear, knocking him back onto the back of his head just as Fear had done to him moments ago. An even bigger pop from the fans as he
drops down onto his knees and makes the cover.]

[12-Fear kicks out straight after the two.]

JP: A good come back, but can little Ramsey capitalise?

Sully: No way. Strength and size wins the match.

JP: Well see.

[Father John Ramsey goes to take full advantage of being able to stun his opponent. Although Fear is very quick to his feet, hed take him down again, dropping down to the canvas and trapping Fears foot in between his knees, dropping him down into a drop toe hold and hanging him up on the second rope, much to the delight of the crowd. Fear would stir a little bit as he remains there, groaning as he stays hung up on the rope. Father John would take one look at him before turning around and charging into the ropes behind him. He would bound forwards across the canvas before going to land a kick to the back of Fears head. He would not connect with his opponent, however. Fear would have scouted the move and pull himself out of the way, leaving Father John to hang himself up on the top rope. This does not delight the crowd.]

Sully: Oh ho!

JP: Ouch. That has gotta hurt!

Sully: What a great move from Fear! How clever is he, JP? How intelligent?

JP: He certainly saw the move coming and he scouted it well enough to get
out of the way.

[Father John, straddling the top rope, would cast his head sky wards before uttering in a weak and noticeably high-pitched voice which is just audible to the cameras: Oh my heavens. Before rolling off the ropes and landing on the canvas with a thump. Fear would stand over him before outstretching his arms, sucking in a deep breath before letting out the cackle of an unhinged man. He would turn towards Father, murder in his eyes as he leans down to grab him by the head, hauling him to his feet before turning away and gesturing to the audience.]

JP: I think this is it. I think hes going to end it now!

Sully: Youre damn right he is.

[He would nail his opponent in the gut with a sharp kick before hooking the head.]

JP: The Gateway to Paradise!

[He tries, but does not manage it. Father John Ramsey grabbing onto Fears shoulders and shoving him forwards, away from him as he tries for the move. Fear comes off the ropes, backing towards Ramsey before Ramsey hits a reverse DDT! The fans go wild as he goes for the cover, making sure to hook the leg.]

[12..Fear gets the shoulder up just at the last second.]

[The fans sigh in dejection, and Father John, for a second, looks about ready to pound his fists on the canvas in frustration. He does not get that far
however and just clenches his fists, shaking his head a little bit. He would pick himself up instead of going crazy at the canvas, making a point not to
look at the referee as if to suggest he was tempted to strike him for what he thought was a slow count. He would drag Fear to his feet as he himself
stands. He would release Fear before pulling back and arm and striking him across the face. Fear recoils a little, head snapping back with the impact
before swinging his head back in position for the second. The fans make a very guttural noise to accompany each strike, however Father John gets no further than three. On the fourth strike, Fear manages to get a hand up to block the strike before replying with one of his own. He would strike Father
Ramsey almost out of his boots, knocking him down onto his back.]

[Fear would reach down, pulling Ramsey to his feet, growling as he mops at a nose that now spills blood freely from a hard-connecting punch. He would nail Ramsey in the gut before raising an arm quickly, hooking the head and finally landing the Gateway to Paradise! The fans do not like it one bit as Ramsey goes down hard onto the canvas, going onto his back as Fear moves over him for the cover, so confident and not even hooking the leg.]

JP: Its over! It must be over! Hes landed the Gateway to Paradise and this match is over for itself!

Sully: Thats it. All over.

[The referee slides in, Fear poking his tongue out of his mouth to the audience as the count is made.]

[1.2.Kick out! Ramsey forces the shoulder up and the audience squeal with
pure glee. Fear, eyes wide, would look in total disbelief down at Ramsey who
does indeed have his shoulder up. He would wait a moment, reaching up to mop
the hair back from his face before holding it there, shaking his head in
disbelief.]

JP: A kick out! Hes kicked out! I dont believe it!

Sully: No way! Slow count! That was a slow count, JP!

JP: Whatever it was, it was a kick out and Ramsey still has a chance at beating this legend!

[Fear eventually pulls himself to his feet, growling as he does. Hed lean against the rope briefly before pulling his opponent up by the hair. He
would pull back a fist before going to nail it across Ramseys face. Ramseys head would pull back in reaction to the hit before snapping back to face Fear. This would get a huge ovation from the fans. Fear, looking startled at the resilience, would draw back a hand before going to nail him again. The same again. Ramsey would react to the punch before just pulling his head back to look at his opponent again, a menacing yet uplifted expression on his face. His body would begin to shake visibly as if he was hulking up, head tilted back wards to look sky wards as he barely seems to react to the punches that have increased in speed and lessened in effectiveness. The fans roar in support of Ramsey who continues to hulk up the more he is hit. Fear pulls one hand back before going to strike his opponent with all of his might. Father would whip out a hand to block it before using his other hand and thrusting it into the face of Fear, one finger raised before a finger on his other hand is brought up to cross it. His fingers now in the shape of a cross and his eyes wide with charisma, he would step up to Fear who is now backing away.]

JP: The power of God! Hes hulking up with the light above!

Sully: What the hell is going on here?!

JP: Exactly what I said!

Sully: Somebody call an exorcist! Cancel the match!

[Fear would pull back before going to deliver another match, but this is only blocked by Ramsey who whips out this time with a punch. It catches Fear right across the face, sending him backwards against the ropes before dropping him down and locking him up for the cross-face chicken wing!]

JP: Cross face! Cross face! Its the Cross face, chicken wing!

Sully: No! No!

[After a few seconds of the hold being locked in, Fear, who has been screaming through out the hold, would whip out a hand and hammer it on the
canvas repeatedly. After three hammers, the bell rings and Father Ramseys church music would hit, the announcer announcing his name as he keeps the hold locked in. It takes the referees intervention to get him to release Fear and when he does, hed stand himself up, heaving with breath as he
looks about the arena, his church music booming through the building.]

Peter Santos: Here is your winner, Father. John. Ramsey!

[The fans applaud and some chant his name. He would glare at an official, snatching back his cloak as he heads towards the outside of the ring, eyeballing Fear as he goes.]

JP: What a win! Fear tapping out after a hard fought match. That was quite a match.

Sully: He cheated! Surely theres a rule forbidding the interference of God in a match.

[Father John Ramsey marches up the ramp, heaving in and out with breath as he drapes the cloak over his shoulder, eyeing the fans as he goes, his posture remaining perfect despite the gruelling match. Fear would lift his head as he remains laid in the ring, wincing and grimacing as he rubs the back of his neck. He would yell something after his departing opponent, spitting and growling.]

JP: Apparently there is not. And Father John Ramsey has just won himself a very precious win.

Sully: Fear wont be happy with this result

JP: He really has no choice, Father Ramsey as beaten him bad here.

Sully: Whatever.

JP: Well ladies and gentlemen, we will be back after this short commercial.
