Jonny Fairplay
versus
"Troy Boy" Troy Knight w/Tonya
Singles Match
Referee: Charles Galliant
Writer: Ed Walker
[The crowd are falling silent as nothing much is happening in the
arena, the camera focus' on JP and Sully who are chatting away as
usual.]
JP: It's been a very strange night here on
Monday Night Dynamite, we're seeing a lot of new wrestlers coming
through.
Sully: Yeah, the old guard appear to be
taking a week off...with the exception of Troy Knight.
JP: Knight is always doing the opposite to
everyone, just when the top line are taking a week or two off he
comes firing back.
Sully: He won't be able to fire against
Jonny Fairplay, there is a man who is so fired up it's
unbelievable.
JP: Fairplay has a lot to prove, I am
surprised that the management have let him even stay in the MWF after
what he tried to do as part of DECENT.
Sully: Or even, what he did as part of
DECENT, he was a major factor in turning Troy into something that
he's not.
JP: Troy Knight was the "Troy Boy" but he's
losing more and more of that famous gimmick....
Sully: ....Fairplay now appears to want to
draw out that "Troy Boy" once again, it's amazing how quickly some
people can change their ways.
JP: I'm just looking forward to seeing Troy
Knight back inside the ring, he has an incredible talent that is
often overlooked. He steps into that ring and suddenly the entire
mood of the crowd changes, they all unite to will him on.
Sully: That's because they are fickle, who
would really cheer a gay arrogant bastard like Troy Knight? He uses
his family to gain his popularity.
JP: There is just something about the Troy
Knight show that appeals to everyone, you have to be impressed with
the way he's handeled all these allegations and protests.
Sully: He's come through it all but I think
he's lost that fire and determination...
JP: ....oh no, Troy hasn't lost any of that,
with Weinberg working behind the scenes I think if anything he's
become more of a man than he was before and he has the passion and
drive to become the MWF World Champion.
Sully: The old Troy Knight would never have
considered the MWF World Championship a possibility...
JP: ....that's because this is a focused
Troy Knight that is fighting not just for himself but for the fans,
it's personal now and at the same time these fans want to see the
reality of Troy Knight as the MWF World Champion.
[The crowd begin to stir as Peter Santos steps into the centre of
the ring, he looks around and the lights begin to dim slightly. More
and more of the crowd are upstanding as Peter Santos bellows.]
Peter Santos: This match is scheduled for one fall, introducing
first, weighing in at 245 lbs., from Manchester, England, Jonny
Fairplay!
[The sounds of MOP's "Cold as Ice" hits the PA system and the
crowd are on their feet, jeering and hurling abuse at Fairplay as he
makes his way through a wall of steam. He flexes his muscles and as
he leans backwards a set of white fireworks dazzle the crowd by
exploding around him. Fairplay snarls and makes his way down the
ramp, he looks smug as he ignores the fans who are attempting to
reach him over the barrier.]
Sully: This is a man that we all need to try
to understand, he was abused by DECENT and thrown away in a move that
could haunt them.
JP: I don't think anyone believed him for a
second when he proposed a team to Troy Knight, we all know that Troy
Knight is an individual.
Sully: He sure is an individual but without
his team he wouldn't be half the man he currently is.
JP: That team does help Troy Knight, they
always have and they always will be the biggest part of his
life.
[Jonny Fairplay has reached the ring and he climbs into it, he
walks to the turnbuckle and the crowd nearby raise their arms and
shout abuse at Fairplay as he taunts at them. Peter Santos looks on
before turning and talking to Charles Galliant, Peter Santos raises
the mic to his lips once more as Fairplay's music begins to fade.]
Peter Santos: And the opponent, weighing in at 220 lbs., from
Chicago, Illinois, accompanied by Tonya, "Troy Boy" Troy Knight!
[The fans explode as "Larger Than Life" by the Backstreet Boys
hits the PA system and red and orange lights begin to glow in the
entrance way...they throb gently in time with the music. On the
MaxiTron pictures of Troy Knight and the beautiful Tonya are shown
and the crowd rise to their feet as the former MWF Television
Champion walks out from behind the lights. He takes a few steps
further forward than Tonya and raises his arms to the crowd who cheer
loudly, Troy Knight is dressed is skimpy trunks, white with a yellow
stripe down the side.]
Sully: He really does think he is the best
thing since sliced bread but Troy Knight is going to find that once
again Jonny Fairplay will beat him, just like he did before.
JP: Knight must be a little worried,
Fairplay was able to beat him last time with the backing of
DECENT...but now Fairplay has the backing of something altogether far
more powerful.
Sully: What's that?
JP: His own soul. Fairplay wants to beat
Troy Knight so badly that he will go to any length to do it...and
that means Troy Knight could be in real danger tonight.
Sully: Those pretty boy looks could be
erased with the boot of Jonny Fairplay.
[Troy Knight strolls down the entrance ramp, with Tonya on his
arm. She smiles and absorbs the wold whistles of the crowd, a few
highly charged male fans are screaming and shouting in her direction
and one of them faints as he blows a kiss. Troy Knight ignores all
the noise and he stares at the ring where Jonny Fairplay is standing.
Knight touches his forehead to show where a small number of stitches
were drawn, Fairplay is shouting abuse at the "Troy Boy". Troy Knight
walks over to the ring steps and the crowd cheer as he climbs up them
and enters the ring, Knight tells Tonya to wait on the outside as he
slips between the ropes.]
JP: I hope Jonny Fairplay realises that
Knight hasn't been in the ring for a while and that could really work
in Fairplay's advantage.
Sully: It's been almost a month since we saw
Troy Knight inside the squared circle, he missed out on March
Madness.
JP: The promotional tour of the UK certainly
had other merits for Troy Knight, but I think he was a bit
disappointed not to be a part of March Madness, I was surprised to
see him dropped from the event.
Sully: The fans have been waiting to see him
wrestle for a long time and now they have their chance.
[Troy Knight takes slow steps into the centre of the ring, nodding
his head in time to the music. He pushes a stray strand of hair back
from his eyes and stops dead in his tracks to stare Jonny Fairplay
straight in the face. Fairplay takes a step forward and Troy Knight
takes another step forward, the crowd cheer as the two men both step
up so that they are a few milimetres apart. Referee Charles Galliant
calls for the bell as the Jonny Fairplay is doing some serious trash
talking. The microphones are unable to pick up on what he is saying
but Troy Knight's face is going a deep shade of red, Knight bites his
lip and clenches his fist.]
JP: This looks interesting, is this Jonny
Fairplay's attempt at foreplay?
Sully: Ah! JP! Do you have to put such
horrible images into people's heads? His name is Jonny Fairplay, not
Jonny Foreplay!
JP: I'd love to be able to hear what is
being said up there...whatever it is then it sure doesn't look good
for Troy Knight.
Sully: It's something personal by the looks
of it.
[The crowd react with a huge cheer as Troy Knight has had enough
and he lashes out, scratching his fist across the face of Fairplay.
"Troy Boy" grabs Jonny Fairplay and looks for a headlock, but
Fairplay ducks straight out of it and comes round behind Troy Knight
and smashes the former MWF Television Champion down to the canvas
with a strong clothesline to the back of the head. Knight sprawls
face first onto the mat, he holds his nose and checks it for
bleeding, he smiles as there is not a trace of blood. Fairplay grabs
Troy Knight by his hair and yanks him sharply to his feet, the crowd
jeering as Troy Knight is thrown onto the ropes. Knight grabs them
and he is laying on the second rope, Fairplay comes running and drops
a leg onto the back of Troy Knight's neck...the crowd scream as
Knight rolls forwards and out of the ring, holding his neck.]
JP: Ouch! Troy Knight's just been strangled
by those ropes...I can't believe it.
Sully: That looked pretty painful, but what
a great move by Jonny Fairply....he is using every single advantage
he can find in this ring tonight.
JP: He's not messing around, he's back in
this ring on a mission.
Sully: I thought Knight was on a mission,
but it looks like he's going to fail miserably.
[Charles Galliant calls for Fairplay to stay in the ring, but
Fairplay pushes away Galliant and climbs from the ring. He drops to
the outside of the ring and comes after Troy Knight. "Troy Boy" has
managed to get back to his feet quickly, but there is no time to
regroup as Fairplay comes straight after him and Troy Knight is sent
crashing into the ring steps! The thud of steel echos around the
arena and Tonya nearby screams as Knight is a crumpled heap on the
floor. Fairplay leans on the ring apron and drives a boot hard into
the shoulder of the former MWF Television Champion...causing Troy
Knight to shout out with pain. Charles Galliant is counting,
reaching........3........Troy Knight is hauled back to his feet and
Jonny Fairplay this time sends Troy Knight running towards the
ringpost, Knight manages to get a hand out and stop himself from
smashing into the steel pole. He turns to face Jonny Fairplay, the
crowd on their feet cheering on "Troy Boy".]
JP: Knight saved himself from a head on
collision with a rather large amount of steel there.
Sully: Tonya's heart was in her mouth for a
moment there, Knight would of been a total wreck.
JP: His shoulder appears to be giving him a
few problems...
Sully: ...wasn't he out with a damaged
shoulder for a while?
[Knight's damaged shoulder doesn't affect the grapple he manages
to lock onto Jonny Fairplay...an elbow from Fairplay can't stop Troy
Knight and he russian leg sweeps Fairplay onto the concrete, Galliant
reaches .......6......and Troy Knight rolls back inside the ring, and
takes a breather as Galliant counts with Fairplay stranded outside
the ring.......7...........8.........Fairplay rolls over and hauls
himself to his feet, the crowd shouting abuse at him as he manages to
make it to his feet.........9........he climbs back into the ring and
is grabbed by Troy Knight who irish whips him, Fairplay comes back
and is hit with a jump swinging DDT from Troy Knight, "Troy Boy"
covers as the crowd count with Galliant.....1......2!]
JP: Oh my! Troy Knight is not going down and
out just yet....only a two count there.
Sully: The trick here is for Fairplay to
keep his composure, Troy Knight will be doing everything and anything
to try and put Jonny off his game.
JP: The MWF requires you to have nerves of
steel, otherwise guys like Troy Knight will pick your brains apart
and fuck with your head.
Sully: I'm worried that Fairplay is going to
get frustrated, he was in control and he had Troy Knight on the run
and now he has to ram home that advantage.
[Jonny Fairplay picks himself up, he looks at Charles Galliant but
the signal of a two count comes again and Fairplay picks up Troy
Knight. He irish whips the former MWF Television Champion into the
ropes and the crowd explode as Troy Knight leaps up out of nowhere
for a dropkick on Fairplay....but the former DECENT member is equal
to the challenge and the crowd jeer as Troy Knight finds himself
reversed into a dragon screw and his leg is slammed into the canvas.
Jonny Fairplay crouches down and waits for "Troy Boy" to stand
up...the crowd are cheering and chanting for Troy Knight and he rolls
over holding his leg.]
JP: Fairplay is getting ready for something
here....
Sully: ...he can smell that victory is not
far off, like a dinner wafting from mother's kitchen.
[Troy Knight pushes his hair away from his eyes as he stands
up...Fairplay begins to come forward and the crowd gasp as Troy
Knight turns round, only to be met with the boot of Jonny Fairplay as
Knight is caught full in the face with a massive superkick. Knight
falls backwards, his arms spread wide, onto the canvas and Fairplay
comes after him and hooks the leg, Galliant counts.....1......2...!
The crowd explode with relief and cheers as Knight kicks out, Jonny
Fairplay rolls away and slams the canvas in frustration. Troy Knight
stays down on the canvas as Tonya on the outside, cheers for him and
claps her hands, the crowd follow the handclap and suddenly seven
thousand people are cheering for the former MWF Television Champion
to stand up.]
JP: This crowd in Leeds want only one winner
here tonight and Troy Knight seems determinated to give them
that...everytime Fairplay thinks he's got the win Troy Knight is able
to respond.
Sully: I'm not looking forward to the
response from Troy Knight, seven thousand people want him to win
tonight and Fairplay will have to be made of strong stuff to deny
them that victory.
JP: Look at the face of Troy Knight, I don't
think I've ever seen him look angrier.
Sully: Oh, he's mad.....he might be Troy
Knight the "Metro-Sexual" but tonight he is Troy Knight the mad son
of a bitch!
[Troy Knight slowly begins to clamber to his feet, he keeps
checking his mouth for blood and eventually he spits out some crimsom
onto the canvas. Jonny Fairplay is furious with Charles Galliant, he
turns round and roars as he spots Troy Knight clambering to his feet.
Fairplay strides across and the crowd go wild as Troy Knight stands
to face him, Fairplay knife edge chops Troy Knight square across the
chest.....there is a loud slap of skin on skin and then a yell of
delight from Troy. Fairplay looks confused, he lands another knife
edge chop to Troy Knight's chest and the stinging blow reddens the
skin of the former MWF Television Champion but again there is a loud
yell of delight from Troy Knight. Fairplay reaches forward and grabs
Troy Knight, he looks for a DDT....but Troy Knight reverses it and
sends Jonny Fairplay back over his head with a Northern lights
suplex. The crowd roar on impact and Troy Knight gets quickly to his
feet...Jonny Fairplay is laid out near the turnbuckle, his head
facing the turnbuckle. Troy Knight smiles and slaps his hands on his
behind and starts to walk towards the turnbuckle.]
JP: It's time for the Rump Thump, we haven't
seen this move for a long time and I thought this move would have
disappeared with "Troy Boy".
Sully: You can never make "Troy Boy"
disappear, he's raging inside Troy Knight and to be honest I think
that is what makes Knight win matches.
JP: If he didn't have that insane edge, that
little something then he is simply a standard wrestler but "Troy Boy"
is something else.
Sully: Jonny Fairplay is going to be sick
all night after this move.
[Troy Knight is beginning to climb the turnbuckle, he wiggles his
behind as he climbs up to the second rope.....pausing for a moment to
collect the cheers of the crowd. Tonya is cheering and waving as Troy
Knight reaches the top rope, he has his back to the ring and Jonny
Fairplay is looking upwards. The eyes of Jonny Fairplay are open as
he looks up....Troy Knight wiggles his ass and the crowd roar and
cameras flash around the arena as Troy Knight bounces on the ropes
before leaping off the top rope...and bringing his behind down for
the Rump Thump! Troy Knight connects....with the canvas, as Jonny
Fairplay rolls out of the way at the last second and Troy Knight
squeels with pain as his behind connects with nothing but the mat.]
JP: No! No! No!
Sully: Ouch! Troy Knight's not going to be
sitting down for a good week after that....
JP: ....the Rump Thump is a devestating move
when pulled off correctly but I don't know what happened
there.
Sully: What happened there was a bit of
tactical brilliance but Jonny Fairplay, I think he was "playing
possum" so to speak.
[Both men are down for a short while, Charles Galliant is about to
start counting them both out when Jonny Fairplay grabs the ropes and
begins to climb up to his feet. Fairplay shouts abuse at Tonya, she
shouts back at him....Fairplay gestures to get out of the ring and
she stumbles backwards in fright. Fairplay begins to laugh as he
turns round and leans down to grab the hair of Troy Knight, he pulls
Troy Knight up to his feet and the crowd jeer as Fairplay irish whips
Troy Knight towards the turnbuckle. He gets Knight up against the
turnbuckle and executes an eye rake that Charles Galliant
spots....Troy Knight bends double clutching his sore eyes. Jonny
Fairplay backs away and runs at Troy Knight...he picks up speed and
looks for a running knee to smash into the face of Troy Knight....the
crowd gasp and explode with cheers as Troy Knight bent double uses
the momentum of Jonny Fairplay to elevate him over his shoulder and
Jonny Fairplay goes up in a flapjack move...and his face cracks onto
the top of the turnbuckle!]
JP: Good Lord! Troy Knight just uses the
entire move by Fairplay to turn it to his advantage....
Sully: Fairplay's face must be feeling like
it's just been shot...
[Fairplay isn't down, but he is stunned and confused as he
staggers back from the turnbuckle clutching his sore face. Troy
Knight is up and Fairplay walks straight back into the former MWF
Television Champion and "Troy Boy" hoists up Jonny Fairplay and
brings him down with a massive backdrop. The ring shakes and Charles
Galliant slides down for the count as Troy Knight hooks the
leg.....1.......2..! The crowd jeer as Jonny Fairplay manages to kick
out before Galliant can slap down for the three.]
JP: I thought Troy Knight had done enough
then, Fairplay can hardly see a thing after the impact of that
move.
Sully: It was quite a backdrop, but not
quite enough to knock the wind out of Jonny Fairplay's sails.
JP: The elevation that Fairplay for off the
back of Troy Knight was amazing....these two men are stopping at
nothing here tonight, they both want this win.
Sully: Neither man can get any real
advantage because they just keep coming back at each other.
[Troy Knight begins to make his way towards the turnbuckle,
looking to go up once again he climbs again....Jonny Fairplay is
already starting to get to his feet, rubbing his face where the
impact with the turnbuckle was made. Troy Knight reaches the top
rope, he pants heavily before turning round to face into the ring,
Fairplay is on his feet and the crowd roar as Fairplay turns around
and a dropkick from Troy Knight comes off the top rope and Fairplay
is knocked backwards. Troy Knight's army of fans are on their feet
cheering as he stumbles forwards, just about making a safe landing.
Jonny Fairplay stays down as Troy Knight makes his way to the fallen
body of Fairplay.]
JP: Troy Knight is such a versatile
wrestler, he can be brawling one moment and the next he's up on the
top rope dropkicking opponents.
Sully: He's got to be good at something in
particular, Fairplay is a bit of an all rounder as well, although you
feel brawling in his strong point.
JP: Fairplay does have a size advantage, and
although that gives advantages it has given problems as well...he's
not quite as nimble as Troy Knight.
Sully: It's hard to match the agility of
Troy Knight.
[Troy Knight grabs Fairplay by the head and pulls him back to his
feet, Fairplay is staggering as Troy Knight sends him into the ropes.
Fairplay comes back and Troy Knight elbows him in the face, as he
does so he twists round and the crowd roar as Troy Knight locks in a
sleeper hold! Charles Galliant is caught a bit off guard, and so is
Jonny Fairplay who is in the middle of the ring and has nowhere to
run. Tonya is right up at ringside, slamming the canvas and cheering
on Troy Knight as he keeps the hold locked in. Fairplay is screaming
with pain as his face turns red with exertion, he attempts to push
Troy Knight backwards but Knight stands firm and the former MWF
Television Champion adds a little knee into the back of Fairplay's
knee that causes Fairplay to drop to his knees.]
JP: He's got him! Troy Knight has that
sleeper hold locked in very tight, and he's right in the centre of
the ring.
Sully: I never knew Troy Knight had this
sort of move available to him, I never saw him as such a technical
wrestler.
JP: He has his moments, don't forget who his
father was...and his father taught him all he knew.
Sully: Lawrence Stanley Knight could still
out wrestle a lot of the MWF roster today, he was a technical
genuis.
[Troy Knight is down on his knees with Jonny Fairplay. The two men
sprawl even further down towards the canvas as the fight begins to
fade from Fairplay, he attempts to elbow his way out of the move but
his feeble strikes do nothing to dislodge Troy Knight who has the
move locked in to perfection. The free arm of Jonny Fairplay is
wavering, he clenches it into a fist but can't maintain the strain
any longer. Fairplay's eyes begin to close slightly and Troy Knight
screams in the ears of Jonny Fairplay to give up and slowly the hand
of Fairplay taps the canvas, it taps again, and again. Charles
Galliant grabs the arm of Troy Knight and forces him off Jonny
Fairplay as the bell sounds. The fans are on their feet cheering as
Tonya rushes into the ring to congratulate Troy Knight.]
JP: He's done it, Troy Knight has avenged
the defeat that Jonny Fairplay caused him.
Sully: Fairplay just couldn't keep up with
Troy Knight and in the end a technical move got the better of
Fairplay.
JP: Troy Knight must be the greatest MWF
wrestler to have never held the MWF World Championship.
Sully: I hope he never does, I mean we all
know he's batting for the other side.
[As if to disprove this Tonya grabs Troy Knight and hugs him
tightly as Knight's arm is raised to the cheering crowd, cameras
flashing everywhere.]
Peter Santos: And your winner, through submission, Troy
Knight!
JP: You don't hear that every often, a
submission victory for Troy Knight.
Sully: It's a rare thing to see a submission
victory these days, but we've had two tonight...Eddie Benoit took out
Adam The Ritcheous early.
JP: That was a thrilling match and what a
win for Benoit, but more important Insane Wayne just removed that
shot at the MWF Xtreme Championship for the newcomer.
Sully: The poor bastard, Benoit thought he
was going to be facing Wayne for the MWF Xtreme Championship but the
new Commissioner just screwed him over.
JP: Troy Knight hasn't been screwed over
tonight, he won a fair victory....
Sully: ....Jonny Fairplay will not be happy,
this was meant to be the night that he truly put Troy Knight to the
stake.
JP: He may have another chance, I can't see
these two stopping here.
Sully: There is some hatred between these
two men and I doubt it'll be settled by tonight.
[Jonny Fairplay is recovering, he gets to his feet and is watched
by Troy Knight as he grabs the ropes for support. The crowd jeering
Fairplay as he turns to look at his opponent, Troy Knight turns his
face away in disgust as Jonny Fairplay begins to stagger towards
him.]
JP: I think Jonny should just leave it
here...he's already been beaten and there is no need to be shown as a
sore loser.
Sully: Fairplay's a hard bastard, he's taken
worse beatings than this and I think he expected to win
tonight.
JP: He should always expect to win, you
can't go into a match and expect to lose.
Sully: Ohhhh!
[Fairplay slaps Troy Knight hard across the side of the cheek that
is turned away from Fairplay. Troy Knight staggers back from the
force of the slap...Tonya screams and attempts to get inbetween the
two men but Fairplay grabs her by the hair and drags her away, still
holding her by her hair he throws her into the turnbuckle and the
beautiful blonde hits the turnbuckle and collapses in a sobbing heep.
Troy Knight runs and grabs Jonny Fairplay, he begins to throw wild
punches and takes a few back from Fairplay. Fairplay manages to block
a punch and kicks Troy Knight in the groin, the crowd boo loudly as
Jonny Fairplay hits a massive low blow that shatters into the crotch
area of Troy Knight and forces the former MWF Television Champion to
rethink any late night plans as he drops to the canvas. A security
team are running down the entrance ramp as Jonny Fairplay begins to
stamp on Troy Knight...]
JP: What a viscous assault by Jonny
Fairplay, he couldn't take the face that he was beaten here tonight
on Monday Night Dynamite by Troy Knight.
Sully: He's just making the point to Troy
Knight that he will not be beaten by tonight, he is going to take the
fight to Troy Knight.
JP: These two will never stop, there is
history and true hatred.
Sully: Fairplay doesn't like the look of
this security.
[The six strong security team storm the ring and Fairplay decks
the first man with a right hand but the five other man grab Fairplay
and force him away from Troy Knight. The crowd cheer as Jonathon
Taylor Thomas comes running down the entrance ramp, the security team
force Fairplay into the corner and are restraining him.]
JP: What is Jonathon doing down here?
Sully: We haven't seen him on an MWF screen
for a while...
[Taylor Thomas slides into the ring and runs over to where Tonya
is sobbing like mad...he helps her to her feet and the crowd flash
cameras as the beautiful blonde curls herself into the chest of the
hunky male. Taylor Thomas shuffles over with Tonya clinging to him,
Troy Knight is pulling himself back to his feet and he looks over to
see Tonya holding tightly onto Jonathon Taylor Thomas, her fingers
fondeling the back of Jonathon's shirt. Troy Knight's face is full of
rage as he looks on....he backs away as Jonathon pushes Tonya away
and walks towards Troy.]
JP: I am sensing some real tension here,
Knight's livid at what he's seeing....
Sully: ....I thought he and Jonathon were
taking a "break"?
JP: Obviously something has been going
on...
[The cameras are starting to fade as Troy Knight slides from the
ring and begins to walk up the entrance ramp, Taylor Thomas watches
from the ring, looking confused as Troy Knight doesn't turn to look
back.]
Sully: We out of time JP?
JP: We sure are, this has been another
amazing Dynamite show and whoah, there is so much that has
happened.
Sully: We've got a new Commissioner, Insane
Wayne has taken the post and his first action was to strip the triple
threat match of its status of being for a shot at the MWF Xtreme
Championship which funnily enough Wayne holds!
JP: He simply wants a fairer
competition...
Sully: ...fairer for him and "Twisted
Vizion"!
JP: We shall see you next week, when
Anarkist steps back into the ring to take on a rejuvinated Seth
Caliko.
Sully: It's going to be a crazy match,
hardcore to say the least.
JP: Anarkist doesn't go to the extreme very
often but he'll need to if he wants to win a hardcore match with
former MWF Xtreme Champion Seth Caliko.
Sully: He's not the "Innovator of
Impossible" for nothing!
