MWF Xtreme Championship Fatal Fiveway - 10 Minute Time Limit
Match
Referee: Grant August
Writer: Dom Stoate
[Naturally, as the bell rings, the four not holding the title belt
all bum rush the bum, The Hobo, who is just quick enough to scoot
beneath the top rope and roll out of the ring, watching all four men
that lean over the rope clawing for him and yelling at him to get
back in the ring. He looks ready to do no such thing, and paces about
the outside of the ring for a little bit. The 62-year-old referee
joins in with the yelling at the poor man, ordering him to get back
into the ring. He is caught up with all of the commotion that begins
in the ring, as the four men start to yell at each other. After the
shoving that suggests that this was more of a plan gone wrong than an
un-choreographed wrestling match, it is Sean Harley that lands the
first real move, turning after being shoved by Jonny Fairplay to
knock the man down with a huge clothesline that sends Fairplay back
onto his shoulders. It erupts in the ring, with The Hobo waiting
outside for a chance to inject himself into the flowing action.]
JP: It's all gone down here! After all men
go for the current Champion, and after The Hobo gets outta there-
Sully: It's all gone wild!
[Shiv nails Harley as he turns around and, in turn, is struck by
Eddie Benoit, who, for the moment, has the ring to himself and uses
the time and space to outstretch his arms and yell in celebration.
The Hobo slides into the ring and takes Eddie out from behind,
grabbing onto his head and dropping him down for a huge neck breaker!
He takes the spotlight for a while, turning to face the now-standing
Harley and monkey-tossing him straight onto his back, turns to the
now-running Fairplay and knocks him down with an elbow. He raises an
arm in celebration, barking out something incoherent before moving
towards the turnbuckle. He seems to have forgotten about Shiv who
grabs his shirt and drags him off the turnbuckle. The Hobo turns back
to him and ducks the oncoming clothesline before hitting a neck
breaker again. The fans actually get behind the man who raises his
arms with excitement.]
Sully: Look at him! The Hobo is on fire
tonight!
JP: He certainly looks determined to win
this match.
[He is not able to take on both Harley and Fairplay who both jump
him and shove him towards the turnbuckle, where they proceed to lay
into him with flying fists and even head butts. The Hobo writhes in
the corner and Harley gestures towards the turnbuckle at which they
stand. Fairplay nods in affirmation before moving up to the top of
the turnbuckle. Harley holds The Hobo in position as Fairplay leaps
off the turnbuckle and lands a huge fame asser, straight from the top
rope! This merits a good pop from the fans, but then, as it is
Fairplay going for the cover, Harley grabs him by his spiky hair, and
pulls him to his feet. He turns Jonny around and slaps him right
across the face, directing him with the blow towards the turnbuckle,
the same one that they had used to trap The Hobo and wear him down,
who has now rolled out of the ring.]
JP: Some real indecision about the pin.
Every man wants to win this, and they only have ten minutes to pick
up the pin!
Sully: It belongs to Jonny! He landed the
Pay Check off the top rope! He should get the pin!
[Fairplay is leaned into the ropes, and Sean Harley slaps chops
across his opponent's chest for a long period, leaving Shiv to pick
up the pieces of The Hobo, dragging him up to his feet before
hoisting him up onto his shoulders. He'd staggers for a little bit
before dropping him down straight onto his knee hard. During the time
spent by Shiv to wear down the champion, Benoit has moved to the
outside of the ring, and is messing about beneath the ring, in what
looks to be, search of weapons. None of the opponents even notice it
when he slides a chair out from beneath the ring, but do start to
notice it when he slides into the ring, baring it fiercely, with
obvious intent to do harm.]
Sully: Stop him!
[He slams the chair across the back of Shiv who staggers to the
side before rolling out of the ring over the top rope. Benoit turns
next to The Hobo who drops onto the canvas in a desperation manoeuvre
to escape the inevitable clouting. Benoit turns now to Harley, but is
not fast enough and takes the chair in the face as Sean leaps and
delivers a spinning heel kick straight into the chair, causing Benoit
to hit the canvas, spilling the chair as he goes down. Harley stands
back up and savours the moment, but, as the referee tends to Benoit,
he is hit by a low-blow from the Hobo who has skittered over behind
him on the canvas.]
JP: Don't forget folks: anything is legal in
this Xtreme Title Match. Even the use of chairs, as Eddie Benoit just
demonstrated!
[The Hobo does not follow up, he simply rolls beneath the bottom
rope to get to a safe spot as the other wrestlers recover.]
Sully: Look at that cowardly no-good bum!
JP: He is just doing what it takes to keep
the title belt! You'd do the same thing!
Sully: I SO wouldn't. I'd be all in there
kicking some ass. I'd be bustin' some skulls and making them all run!
JP: Whatever you say.
Sully: Exactly.
[The Hobo remains on the outside, as Sean leans against the ropes
wearily, watching as the others struggle to find their feet. First to
stagger into a standing position is Fairplay who was still recovering
from an attack from Sean. He grabs the nearly-standing Harley and
pulls him up to a standing position before grabbing his legs and
bringing him down onto his back before jumping in between his legs
and landing an elbow drop to the side of his head. Both men,
fatigued, would lay in the middle of the ring, giving Shiv and Benoit
a chance to find their feet. There are only a few minutes remaining
at this point. Benoit and Shiv both move for the outside of the ring,
apparently getting the same idea at the same time. Once outside,
they'd move towards the Hobo, who, by now, has cottoned on to their
intentions. He backs away stubbornly, arms outstretched in a gesture
of peace. They are having none of it, and both go for him at once,
Shiv taking him out by lowering his upper body and thundering him
against the barrier, shaking it to its very foundations. Meanwhile,
Sean and Fairplay have made it to their feet again and are going at
it, Fairplay getting the upper hand and hammering his fist once hard
into the side of Sean's head. It is enough to send Sean stumbling to
the side against the ropes, and Jonny follows up with a chop to the
chest that rings through the arena.]
JP: OH man! Such a chop there!
Sully: I wouldn't want to be Sean Harley
right now! On the end of a thorough beating from Jonny
Fairplay!
JP: Meanwhile, on the outside, there appears
to be some teaming up. Shiv and Eddie Benoit laying the beat down on
The Hobo, who, don't forget, is still the Xtreme Champion, even with
only three minutes to go.
Sully: He's just a chicken! Waiting outside
of the ring for the time to expire! That's just a joke!
[Shiv and Benoit have successfully managed to wear down the
Champion and now, Benoit, who seems to have taken charge of the
situation, orders Shiv to get the table. Shiv, after a moment's
deliberation, complies, and reaches a hand beneath the ring apron to
pull out a table, which he promptly sets up. In the ring, Jonny is
still rattling Harley's chest with chop after chop, and seems
convinced that his opponent is sufficiently stunned, so he leans
against the ropes opposite to his opponent and runs at him. At the
same time, Eddie Benoit has the Hobo on the table, and is standing on
it with him, The Hobo's head betwixt his legs. Jonny runs forwards
and jumps to land the clothesline, only to miss completely as Harley
hits the deck. Jonny goes tumbling over the ropes, straight into The
Hobo and Eddie Benoit. All fall through the table and down onto the
barely-padded flooring in a heap, much to the crowd's delight.]
JP: Oh my God! All three men just they just
went through that damn table, Sully!
Sully: Little Jonny, no!
[Jonny rolls onto his back, holding his head, and The Hobo, who
hasn't had a great deal of a say in this match due to him being the
Champion, does not look too great, himself. Rolling onto his front,
holding onto his chest. Benoit, too, remains laid out in the middle
of the flooring.]
JP: And none of these men look ready to get
up to finish the fight!
Sully: C'mon Jonny! C'mon, Eddie!
[Shiv is the first in action, which is hardly surprising
considering he is the least damaged of the five participants at this
time. He takes advantage of Harley being stunned, and the other three
being immobile, and gets a hold on The Hobo. He drags him to his feet
before roughly shoving him towards the ring. The fans are behind him
now as he moves into the ring after rolling The Hobo beneath the
bottom rope.]
JP: Everyone else is down! Harley looks too
dazed to act quickly at this point after those repeated chops and
blows.
Sully: Shiv might actually win it here!
[Shiv drags The Hobo to his feet, and holds his head up so he can
observe and measure the state of the bum before attempting anything.
He judges The Hobo's condition before snapping a foot out and nailing
him in the gut hard. He backs him into the turnbuckle forcefully
before slapping him about the face a little bit.]
Sully: Look at how damn cocky he is.
JP: Well, like the T-shirt says: It may be
cocky, but largely, what he says is true.
Sully: That's not quite what it says, is it,
JP?
JP: Hardly important.
[He pulls The Hobo up into a sitting position atop the top rope
before backing towards the other turnbuckle. There is but 30 seconds
left, and the fans begin to get behind Shiv, who, after grabbing
Harley, who tried to stage a comeback, runs him across the ring and
over the top rope. He turns back to The Hobo and eyes him in
determination before putting his weight on his foot to run at the
Champion. He thunders towards The Hobo, who does his best to stick a
leg out, which Shiv runs straight into before staggering backwards,
holding his face. Through the fans, General Manager Dom Stoate has
made his way. After deciding that the ramp was a little bit too
visual, he had decided to use the audience as cover and, after
hopping the barrier, moves into the ring, Xtreme Title picked up on
the way. This, of course, does not sit well with the audience who
begin to boo and jeer him fiercely, but he pays them no heed, and as
Shiv turns around, holding his face, he brings the belt right across
his face, knocking him down on his back in the centre of the ring
before rolling out.]
JP: That dirty cheat!
Sully: It's legal!
JP: The GM! He has been the one talking
about unfair interruption! That has gotta be a disqualification!
Sully: I don't think it is!
[Stoate has a quick fierce word with the referee before moving
away from the ring. The Hobo looks a little bit confused, but his gut
instincts kick in, and he straightens up before leaping off the
turnbuckle, and, with seconds to spare, leaps off the turnbuckle,
landing the 'Got Any Change' Spare Change Splash. The count is made.
123!!]
JP: The Hobo! He retains his title, but at
what cost? Has he sold himself out in the process?
Peter Santos: And your winner, and still Maximum Wrestling
Federation Xtreme Champion, The Hobo!
