"Homicidal Creep" The Grudge

versus

"GMS" Gunman Stinger w/President Insane Wayne

Singles Match

Referee: Brian Ford

Writer: Ed Walker

JP: The Grudge has a fantastic chance to prove how good he really is, and stick two fingers up at President Wayne and his abuse of authority.

Sully: Gunman Stinger is now a man of power, he has President Wayne on his side.

JP: That doesn't mean anything, CEO Walker is still the most powerful man in the Maximum Wrestling Federation.

Sully: Walker's a fake, a crumbling remnant of the past and he will soon disappear from the MWF.

JP: I wouldn't be so sure about that. Walker's still more powerful than you might think.

Sully: I heard a rumour that Grudge and Walker would unite against Wayne.

JP: Are you forgetting that Walker has quite possibly the best wrestler in the MWF right now...Gutter Rat at his disposal.

Sully: You must be joking, Gutter Rat's dead! He's gone! President Wayne took care of that failure.

JP: Failure, how can you call a current MWF Television Champion and WEW Continental Champion a failure?

Sully: Because he's never won the MWF World Heavyweight Championship. He's had chances but he's never quite made it.

JP: He will make it...just not yet.

[Peter Santos, the MWF's main announcer, makes his way to the centre of the ring. He smiles and bellows into the microphone.]

Peter Santos: Good evening ladies and gentlemen, this first match is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, from Miami, Florida, weighing in at 235 lbs., "Homicidal Creep" The Grudge!

[The crowd respond with jeers at the mention of The Grudge, and they turn to the entrance way as "Feeling This" by Blink 182 hits the PA system and The Grudge walks out. His face is displayed on the MaxiTron and he raises his arms to the crowd. They respond with cheers for this new found popular wrestler.]

JP: These fans have turned to support The Grudge after the appalling treatment he received at the hands of the MWF President.

Sully: He's only getting jeered out of sympathy! This crowd don't truly like this guy, they just cheer for him because of how much they hate Insane Wayne.

JP: A lot of people are starting to hate Insane Wayne, he's an unpopular guy.

Sully: Wayne never set out to be popular, he set out to his best to push the MWF forward under his control but he's constantly being undermined by people such as The Grudge and CEO Walker!

[The Grudge reaches the ring, he climbs up onto the ring apron and climbs between the ropes. He walks over to the turnbuckle and stands on the second rope...he looks out over the cheering crowd before turning back into the ring. He shakes hands with the referee Brian Ford and Ford checks The Grudge for any weapons.]

Peter Santos: And the opponent, weighing in at 297 lbs., from Hollywood, California, accompanied by the MWF President Insane Wayne, "GMS" Gunman Stinger!

["99 problems" by Jay-Z hits the PA system and the crowd jeer loudly as pyro explodes around the entrance...Gunman Stinger walks proudly out onto the entrance way with the MWF President behind him. President Wayne looks smug as he places a hand on the shoulder of his young charge and the pause to pose for any photos...the lack of camera flashes shows their lack of popularity.]

JP: Look at that smug grin on Wayne's face. He knows he's made a mistake in turning The Grudge away.

Sully: He's not worried, he knows he has made the right choice and it's Gunman Stinger's big chance tonight to prove he can pull a win out of the bag when it matters most.

JP: This couldn't be a better time for The Grudge to make a move up the MWF ladder. The roster is depleted, major stars are being rested with the threat of WEW looming and he could be the man to breakout and move up to the main event.

Sully: Grudge has quite a lot of experience for such a young wrestler. But he doesn't have the connections, Walker doesn't care enough to put The Grudge in a position where he can win.

[Gunman Stinger leads the way down to the ring, wearing a pair of sunglasses so his eyes are hidden from view. He speaks to Wayne as they walk and the MWF President appears to be telling him some tactics, as The Grudge waits in the ring. The eyes of The Grudge are not focused on his opponent, they are focused on the figure of the MWF President. Gunman Stinger walks round the side of the ring and enters via the ring steps. President Wayne takes a chair from a cameraman and sits down at ringside.]

JP: This man thinks he can just run the MWF by himself, but he doesn't know how much of a fool he looks.

Sully: I'd never call Wayne a fool. He's a very clever man, and an even cleverer wrestler as we'll find out when he faces Stud later on in a hardcore match.

JP: Who knows what dirty tricks the MWF President has lined up for that match. Stud had better watch his back.

Sully: It's a hardcore match so anything and everything is legal.

[The Grudge walks over to the side of the ropes where the MWF President is sitting outside the ring, he brings cheers from the crowd as he points at the MWF President and trash talks straight at him. Wayne winks at The Grudge and the crowd jeer as Gunman Stinger nails a low blow right between the legs of The Grudge from behind...Brian Ford is just turning round from having signalled to the timekeeper for the match to start, so he misses the move. The Grudge falls to the mat, holding his precious area. Gunman Stinger pulls The Grudge away from the ropes and stamps on his chest. The crowd jeer as Gunman Stinger pauses to pull a pose...he glances over to Wayne who signals for "GMS" to attack.]

JP: He's like a puppet...just a puppet.

Sully: If it leads to success then don't' knock it.

JP: The MWF needs free-thinking, empowered wrestlers who can take themselves to the top...not these corporate sideshows.

Sully: What do you call Gutter Rat then?

JP: He's different! He simply helps out Walker from time to time...you don't see the MWF CEO down at ringside, sitting on a chair, directing the passage of play do you?

Sully: Wayne offered to manage Gunman Stinger and they way he sees it is...he's managing him. He uses his experience to benefit a less experienced wrestler.

[The crowd are behind The Grudge as Gunman Stinger pulls the "Homicidal Creep" up from the canvas and grapples him...Stinger uses his weight to try and throw The Grudge to the mat, but The Grudge doesn't budge and the crowd roar as he slips out of the headlock and grabs Stinger by the back of the neck. The Grudge runs forward and executes a bulldog....the crowd roar as "GMS" slams face-first into the canvas and The Grudge rolls away. President Wayne doesn't look too concerned, he keeps his cool and stays sitting on his chair. The Grudge smiles as he gets to his feet...Gunman Stinger holds his face and attempts blindly to stand, The Grudge grabs Stinger and helps him stand. They lock up and "Homicidal Creep" executes a neck breaker, the ring shakes as Gunman Stinger is twisted and turned into the canvas.]

JP: President Wayne looks a little more concerned right now, his starlet is suddenly falling to great wrestling from The Grudge.

Sully: Grudge sure knows how to link his moves together.

JP: Sure does, The Grudge has always had a knack for putting a string of moves together...

Sully: ...but he lacks that finish, that cutting edge.

JP: He might just find it tonight.

Sully: He might just do that.

[The Grudge looks down at Gunman Stinger and he looks at the turnbuckle. The crowd cheer as The Grudge starts to walk towards the turnbuckle, but he stops and turns round to see "GMS" getting to his feet. Gunman Stinger is standing once again, as The Grudge turns round and the crowd roar as he charges towards Gunman Stinger. Brian Ford has to leap out of the way as The Grudge slams into Gunman Stinger and executes a spear. The move lifts Gunman Stinger clean up in the air and brings him crashing down onto the canvas...The Grudge manages to hook the leg and Brian Ford counts ....1.....2! Gunman Stinger kicks out with some force and President Wayne claps his hands. Gunman Stinger looks over at the MWF President who has now taken to standing...he takes the steel chair and folds it up.]

JP: What's Wayne up to...I don't like the look of this one bit.

Sully: President Wayne and Gunman Stinger are putting something together here and something tells me it will not benefit The Grudge.

JP: Watch out Grudge, Wayne's playing some sort of trick.

[Gunman Stinger is brought up to his feet by "Homicidal Creep" and the crowd shout warning as President Wayne nears the ring apron with the steel chair. Gunman Stinger and The Grudge grapple, and Gunman Stinger leans into The Grudge and brings a knee into his mid-section...this knocks The Grudge off balance and the crowd jeer as The Grudge is irish whipped....straight into referee Brian Ford! Ford is laid out in the collision with The Grudge and both men fall to the floor.]

JP: Oh no! This was their plan...this was Gunman Stinger and President Wayne's little idea.

Sully: Tactics my good friend, tactics.

JP: This isn't tactics...Wayne's got a steel chair and that is not, I repeat, not in the rulebook.

Sully: Wayne's the MWF President, he makes the rules!

[President Wayne gets up onto the ring apron and the crowd boo and hiss as Gunman Stinger gets The Grudge to his feet. Referee Brian Ford is face down on the mat...as Gunman Stinger sends The Grudge running towards the ropes. The Grudge runs towards the ropes and as he reaches them the MWF President brings the steel chair crashing down onto the skull of The Grudge! Wayne falls back off the ring apron with the force of the blow and The Grudge crashes to the canvas, holding his head. Gunman Stinger laughs as he stands over the fallen Grudge.]

JP: The Grudge has just been conned, cheating out of a match that was heading his way.

Sully: That's what a good manager can do for you, change the tide of the match.

JP: By cheating?

Sully: Tactics!

[President Wayne picks himself up as Gunman Stinger walks over to check on Brian Ford...he slaps the referee on the side of his face and attempts to wake him up. The Grudge is beginning to bleed and blood drips from his face, he wipes it away from his eyes as he attempts to stand. He is obviously dizzy as he reaches for the ropes, or any kind of leverage to help him. Gunman Stinger leaves Brian Ford who is slowly coming around..."GMS" makes his way across the ring and The Grudge who is using the ropes to get up is grabbed from behind. "GMS" spins him round and the crowd jeer loudly as he executes the Scorpion Cutter! The Grudge is slammed into the mat and Gunman Stinger drops to cover him...]

JP: Ford's not up yet!

Sully: He's being cheated out of a win.

JP: Looks like they were counting on Brian Ford being able to recover.

[Brian Ford is still down as Gunman Stinger covers The Grudge...Ford is slowly coming around, Wayne is furious at ringside. He shouts at Brian Ford who shakes his head and rubs his eyes.]

Sully: Wake up man! There is a win here!

[Brian Ford rolls over and he manages to spot the cover, he crawls across the crowd jeer as he counts ...1...2...! The crowd go wild as at the last moment The Grudge rolls his shoulder and Gunman Stinger stares in disbelief.]

JP: He's alive! The Grudge is still in this one.

Sully: That's just not right...

[President Wayne looks on in shock as The Grudge gets to his feet and Gunman Stinger runs at him. "Homicidal Creep" spots him coming and the crowd explode as he ducks a clothesline from the onrushing Gunman Stinger. The Grudge grabs "GMS" from behind and cameras flash as he spins him round and executes The Grudge Ender onto the canvas. The ring shakes and Wayne holds his hands to his head as Brian Ford counts ...1...2...3! The bell sounds as Ford signals the victory and he moves to grab the arm of The Grudge and raises it to the roaring crowd.]

JP: What a win!

Sully: And I thought he was out of it, not a chance in hell of making the victory and he damn well thwarted "GMS" from a well deserved win.

JP: Unbelievable.

Peter Santos: And your winner, through pin fall, The Grudge!

[The Grudge has his arm raised to the cheering crowd, and he breaks away from Brian Ford and the crowd cheer as he rolls out of the ring and heads straight at the MWF President. Wayne still has the dented chair in his hand and he backs away from The Grudge, holding the chair up to shield himself.]

Sully: Hit him Wayne! Knock that son of a bitch out!

[The MWF President lunges forward and the crowd jeer as the chair catches The Grudge in the face, blood is already flowing from the "Homicidal Creep" but even more flows as Wayne hits a second chair shot and The Grudge crumples to his knees. Gunman Stinger is still out in the ring as Wayne drops the chair, with a clatter and stands in front of the kneeling Grudge.]

JP: What's the MWF President going to do?

Sully: Show no remorse Wayne, just take that steel chair back into your hands and beat The Grudge into a pulp.

[President Wayne looks down at The Grudge, who looks up at the MWF President through bloodied eyes. He is muttering something, but all it brings is bubbles of blood from his mouth. Wayne puts a hand to The Grudge's face and just pushes him over, before turning and climbing into the ring.]

JP: No respect at all...Wayne's just bloodied one of his own roster.

Sully: The man has priorities.

[President Wayne pushes Brian Ford out of the way as he leans down and pulls Gunman Stinger to his feet.]

JP: Looks like Wayne still has faith in "GMS".

Sully: Let's take a break.
